Hello from the UK. 🇬🇧 We have just paid the CD Baby Boost fee for our daughter's song. You mentioned it does not cover the UK❓ I have also missed out on the discount code. 🥴 Only just seen this.
Yes, BMI doesn't collect Mechanical royalties. At the same time, Boost isn't entirely necessary because you can join the MLC for free yourself. Boost would lighten your workload.
Здравствуйте.. У меня есть аккаунт cdbaby но не могу зайти так как я сменил номер телефона и без сообщений не могу зайти.. Не подскажите что я могу сделать?
When I saw the CDB BOOST feature, it looked very scammy. Like, how can I even be sure anyone over there is actually trying to rep my songs out to films/TV/gaming? What if they just have a teenager listening to the first 5 seconds of my song and then saying "nah" and moving onto the next one. Do any music supervisors for film/TV actually hear the music we are paying extra for, in the registration process? $50 seems like way too much. Even if your song was 60 minutes long, paying someone $50 per hour to listen to your tunes is a nice job to have. Most songs are just 3 minutes... so this CDB BOOST seems like a bad deal. I have not heard of even ONE person testifying that their music got placed in a film because they paid the $50 upgrade.
I have paid for CD Baby Boost for roughly 20-22 songs in the last 6 months. I've seen ZERO benefits from it and my streams are basically zero. It's just an extra charge that they hope we're gullible enough to pay for. I'm gonna look into the legality of it all and see what I can do on the court side of things. I HATE companies that scam people. And I enjoy exposing trash companies with their trash false promises. (If this comment gets removed, I'll just keep posting it until it goes through)
@@wolfgangmountford8462 yes it makes for a weird situation... b/c the artist doesn't know if it's a scam or if maybe the song wasn't high enough quality... so it leaves the artist wondering and there is NO FEEDBACK from any song director, for instance, saying "well, we heard it but it's not what we're looking for, or we like it just needs mastering, etc" --that would at least be something
So CD boost $39.99 is a one time fee for the album or is that monthly. However it sounds like it replaced copyrights or is the new program to copyright in an all digital platform that CD Baby went. I remember they sold from their warehouse 25 years ago and had many issues with artist music. I believe this is their business resolution after 25 years in business.
Nope they touch your masters and do as they see fit It won’t happen per say but it’s in their contract that at any point they could shop your masters around to someone that makes them an offer I would only go through onerpm for content and music videos or vydia and Distrokid video Your only good options are tunecore and cd baby
bro may you help me about my music distribution What's wrong? I would like to use cdbaby,, but tunecore has my album that I posted 4 years ago, I stopped using it but they still have my RUclips content id,, could I use cdbaby even if tunecore continues with my content id,,
@@Payusnomind brother is different album which I plan to put on my youtube, but my youtube content id has it tunecore, cdbaby is asking me for my youtube content id what I do

Soo is CD BABY BOOST gonna release my songs to spotify and other platforms ?
Thanks man, I just checked MLC and looks like they got me registered. Must be something CDbaby did on auto as I did not do it direct.
But how long will it take cd baby to calculate all your loyalty
Can I use CD BABY as a distributor and Songtrust as my editor? Confirm this info please, glad to see you upload these new videos.
Songtrust is a Publishing Admin and you can use it for that while using CD Baby for distribution.
@@Payusnomind thanks a lot my friend.
You Seem to Be an Awesome Guy ,... Man!!🔥🤘🏻
thanks for the great informative video. My music is registered with BMI so do you think I still need to sign up for BOOST? Thanks again

For only one albüm or single and unfortunately yearly subscription😡
Doesn't OneRPM do all of this with no upfront upload cost and no additional fees?

Yeah, if it's for the same release you'd just opt-out of Content ID.

CD Baby boost is not useful for artist from Europe. I will skip always that
Why?
More scamming from the wpi 😂
What’s wpi?
