Funnily enough, I also started learning piano in 2020, although in my case I've been receiving virtual lessons since then. Like a year after I started, I asked my teacher to help me learn this piece since Xenoblade 2 is one of my favourite games of all time as well and it definitely has my favourite soundtrack. It took me a while to learn, and I eventually managed to fully play it, but it wasn't until very recently that I managed to get a one take recording that I was actually happy with. Similar to your case, this song means a lot to me and I wanted to feel like I was paying respect to it with my performance. I think it's a fun coincidence how much I related to your story haha. Anyways, good stuff!!

But in Symphonic Metal fansion, It's one of my favorite SCVIV tunes with it's sinister & atmospheric nature. So i've though that you could pay homage for Super CastleVania IV's 30th anniversary. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is seriously an incredible game I always enjoy going back to, it's one of my favourites (my favourite game of the last decade, even two, with Xenoblade 1 being one of the others [Xenoblade 2 is my favourite of all the games]). Though it does annoy me a lot on how Xenoblade 3 sort of tainted aspects of this game's main plot points and characters a bit (e.g. the cursed photo), I usually just prefer to pretend 3 doesn't exist (it's my least favourite of the numbered games, it has some incredible things in it but it's just mediocre in many respects to how it tries to bridge 1 and 2, it really should have been its own game).
