Thank you for taking us along on not only an awesome hunt, but a very beautiful one. I could play this one on a loop all day. The sound of the water and the beautiful scenery was super relaxing! Great Hunt!
I haven't seen a Puffball mushroom in years! That was fun to see. We used to play by a creek when I was a kid. That was a memory brought back to me. Hi from Southern MN. Love the content.
The rivers of the north shore are some of the best places on earth. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your hunts until our next trip to the area. Great finds!
Love watching your videos! So beautiful the river, the sounds, colorful leaves... at the same time it makes me happy. Then sad because I can't move there! I go to the North shore every summer (several times) a summer. haven't been able to for over a year
No offense, but it’s good to hear that you got skunked a few times. We were up your way for a few days in August and got totally skunked. Can’t wait to come back. Loved your water level find.
Enjoyed your hunt, so much fun. I’d be taking all rocks that are of interest to me. I love rocks. I’ve got crystal bowls with small rocks in them. Looking forward to you going back.
I have found some rocks like that agate dad in the Ausable River not even in 5 minutes walk from my house Last Summer I cannot wait for our snow to be gone I'm pretty excited and can't wait to find more rocks😊
Any of you interested, check out the Platte Rivers. I'm in northwest Missouri and I find chalcedony, honey agate, agatized and petrified wood, many colors of chert, Smoky quartz, lake superior agate, moss agate, druzy fossiliferous limestone as well as culture stones, stone age flint knappings, coprolites, ironstone nodules, mammoth, bison, horse and cattle bones, feldspar and even occasionally amber. Follow those sandbars. Great video.
Thanks for letting us tag along on this excursion. It was cool to see your finds. I'm looking forward to seeing more from this area you are in. Keep us posted!
Hey just thought I’d mention this most of the waxy looking rocks that you find that your not quite sure about most likely are chert or Jasper and they do mix. Quartz can also look similar when weathered but usually you can tell if that is present in the rock. 👍🏻
That water looked a lot like Tahquamenon falls water. Was it close to there? Regardless it was a very beautiful spot. Thanks thanks for taking us along.
Hey!!! Love your videos Agate Dad... so fun, like your laugh when you find, or cut an awesome rock.! Thank you! Oh Man!!! A-Friggin-Mazing dude!!! Outside of that, I need to ask you what type of camera you use now when youre out hunting and recording??? I'm hoping to find one by learning from those of you who have learned which works best... so, this is me asking. 😊
Maybe plan a trip to walk along the sun drenched white sandy shore of the South Chesapeake Bay's West Coast line in "Flag Ponds Nature Park" 1525 Flag Ponds Pkwy, Lusby, MD 20657, which is located in Lusby, Maryland. When there you can casually be picking up the pink to orange translucent to opaque agates found there I often think of the planet Mars when looking at the colors of the agates mixed in with the white beach sands holding so many Patuxent River stones which is Maryland's State gem (a form of agate). Also much successful fossil hunting is found just a short drive to the South at the Calvert Cliffs Maryland State Park. A long, long, long walk along a manicured path that is a demanding trek through the woods to find the shore line. Bug spray, Sun Block, Water, Snacks, pull over rubber water shoes are good to have along on your day adventure. Avoid two things: one being the eroding earthen cliffs falling on you, and two don't wander south into the grounds of the Nuclear Power plant there, the security there frowns on trespassers for some reason. L.O.L..
The memories are flooding back. My folks used to live at the mouth of the Devil's Track River up shore from Grand Marais, on the east end of Croftville. Before then we came up to camp on some land my grandpa owned so as you can imagine I did a lot of rock hounding and exploring up there. New sub. Thanks for sharing!
It's always an adventure and fun to try a new place. You've got some gorgeous woodsy places over there...I only wish our creeks had agates over here in the Upper Peninsula!
I have started a crystal collection and now I wanna get into rock hounding. I'm on the outskirts of central va. Idk how to get started. Like how do I know where to go? lol
Thanks for another great video! We were up on the North Shore the 1st few days of October & found a new place to explore on a river near Two Harbors. The short hike was beautiful & we found steps down to an area looking a lot like this video. I found some cool rocks (of course) & some of the ugliest glowing agates 🤣. Small windows of beautiful bands, but mostly gnarly looking stuff that's hard to get clean. Haha! I was in heaven up there! Wish I'd been more prepared for being on a river - can't wait to see you do a video of this river with the view tube/bucket!!!
I just searched agate hunting and clicked on this video, possibly the first one I saw and already within a few seconds in I subscribe with peaceful and cheerful vibes. Beautiful rocks.
Hi, a friend told me about you and how her little one's absolutely love watching you , especially Jacob, as he loves your calming voice. It is with great sadness I say summer rain song has lost one of her children September 23rd.
Always trying to guess where you were hunting. My clue guess is that Rudy Gobert and Jacques Lemaire would like this river. The English probably wouldn't like it much though. Good stuff AD!
Beautiful rocks and beautiful scenery. Can't ask for much more than that! I was just thinking a couple of days ago that we haven't seen you on a hunt for awhile. Where is Scoopie? Would have come in handy on this trip
I’m here in Duluth this week for vaca and don’t know my way around to look for agates. Looked in the Knife River but may need to go farther north up the shore. These vids have been so helpful.
love your videos! you got me back into rockhounding. Its so much fun. I am going to central and east utah. any suggestions maybe on good stuff to look for and where?
Thanks for watching, have a great day ❤️
You must feel so lucky and grateful of your life. Just know that many of us view your adventures as personal dreams 🙂

That water level banding with amethyst is beautiful! It's so fun finding new spots to hunt! 😊
It really is!
Thank you for taking us along on not only an awesome hunt, but a very beautiful one. I could play this one on a loop all day. The sound of the water and the beautiful scenery was super relaxing! Great Hunt!

I’m glad you do :)
What a beautiful spot! This would have been a success even if you didn’t find anything because it was such a great hiking spot 😊
Absolutely!!
The agate with limonite was beautiful!! And that chert!! What a beautiful spot too.
Yes it was!
The rivers of the north shore are some of the best places on earth. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your hunts until our next trip to the area. Great finds!
Gotta get back there with the view tube. I'm sure the really good ones are in the water!
Planning on it :)
12:16...no apologies necessary! I pick up a lot of chert, too. Chert happens, you know! Glad you had an excellent river day!!

Yes, lets go back to the river. ❤🎉

Love the water level one , but all such beautiful finds 😍😍

As I thought, many awesome finds! They look lovely!👍
Looks amazing!
One of my favorite parts of all your videos is how you find ways to glorify God. Keep it up fellow Minnesotan. ❤️

I don’t think it’s close to that as I have no idea where that is 😂 happy to!
Near-ish to Paradise in the UP
Also those really cute faces you make me giggle.

Nice!!
Show us how they looked when cut, please.
I grew up in Michigan and traveled all over the state. This sweet little river brought tears to my eyes,
Do you still live there or did you move away?

You really have some awesome hunting spots! Great video and great finds!
Looks like so much fun! Why weren't you wearing wadders for hunting in a river?
My old waders were broken and I was waiting for my new ones.
It's always an adventure and fun to try a new place. You've got some gorgeous woodsy places over there...I only wish our creeks had agates over here in the Upper Peninsula!

Good to see you out and about. Missed that. No skunk. TFS ❤️🏏🎸

Thank you so much 😀 they’re fun to make

Hi, a friend told me about you and how her little one's absolutely love watching you , especially Jacob, as he loves your calming voice. It is with great sadness I say summer rain song has lost one of her children September 23rd.
So many times we take our planet for for granted get out and have an adventure. Have a great weekend super nice place to explore.
So many beautiful locations created for us, gotta get outside!
Always trying to guess where you were hunting. My clue guess is that Rudy Gobert and Jacques Lemaire would like this river. The English probably wouldn't like it much though. Good stuff AD!
How do the bands form? And would the bands continue to stack if you left it there? I’m glad you don’t leave them there. I’m just curious
Beautiful rocks and beautiful scenery. Can't ask for much more than that! I was just thinking a couple of days ago that we haven't seen you on a hunt for awhile. Where is Scoopie? Would have come in handy on this trip
That's a beautiful location

love your videos! you got me back into rockhounding. Its so much fun. I am going to central and east utah. any suggestions maybe on good stuff to look for and where?
Getting harder and harder to find stuff ...nice to enjoy the outdoors
How do the bands form over the years, and do they prove its age like wood ?
Thanks, beautiful river. That was fun!
какая богатая река.
what a rich river.
I’m thinking agate on the big one. Has a good looking husk.
What a beautiful spot to be exploring.
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
New sub
Thanks for subbing!
@@AgateDad just keep rocking,
⛏️😎 Ok
Now, don't you wish you wore boots.
Didn’t have boots, boots broke
@@AgateDad That is sad!
If you know you're going to the river, why would you not wear water-proof shoes?? Waders?? Lol, smh
If you knew my waders were broken and I was waiting on my new waders, you wouldn’t be shaking your head.
