Who could he guard, he would have been a liability on defense...... Like B Shaq but not league material.... Perimeter fried in the post Baby Shaq for real.....
I think your right....if Baby Shack would have told shaq like “ yo what you think i need to do to get there? “ or like “ man heres my number im tryna work out with you during the off season” or just anything to be proactive. I think Shaq would’ve definitely fucked wit em on that. In my opinion Baby shaq had the most potential out of every one for sure
BABY SHAQ!!! First met this cat at Run & Shoot in Maryland... and i can honestly say it was a pleasure to play with and against this brother! No backing down, no fear to pull from anywhere on the court and would dunk on anyone at will!! I Salute you sir!!!
I think the main issue with Hugh Jones/Baby Shaq was that he was a "tweener" meaning he may not have had a true position in the NBA. To me, he looked like a power forward in the body of a point guard!! Players like that may be able to dominate in street ball, but will face some difficulties in the NBA or maybe BCS-level college basketball. I'm sure NBA coaches and defenders(with certain defenses, strength and length) would know how to limit someone like Baby Shaq, despite his talent. Also, I'm thinking that Baby Shaq may not have had the grades to sign with a big-name(ACC, SEC, Big East) college coming out of high school. If Baby Shaq had the chance to showcase his talent and get coaching from a school like Georgetown or Maryland(I bring them up because they probably would have been recruiting him the hardest) directly out of high school, he may have had a stronger desire to play in the NBA The uploader of this video mentioned that Baby Shaq took a year off after high school to take care of his daughter and spend time with his mother, and then played at Southern Maryland(Is that a JUCO??), but does anyone know his WHOLE story?? And by whole story, I'm only speaking about his recruitment. What schools recruited Baby Shaq when he played at Spingarn? Did he get any college offers while he was in high school? From the little I know of his high school career, he was an enforcer/rebounding post player and played a secondary role to 2 high-profile teammates named Fred Primus and Will Smith, who got all the attention and headlines, so he may have been overshadowed in high school.
I saw this coming after the first few street ballers you did and some of them had glaring deficiencies in their games...some they couldn't control, most not. But one question bro, I noticed you never did Felipe Lopez! He might be a poster boy for this platform! Him and maybe even Harold Minor....not sure if these dudes are too old, but I remember those 2 in particular being stupid hyped, especially Felipe.
Good joint. Baby Shaq one of my favs for real. Watched him for years down at Barry Farms. His battles against David The Incredible Hawkins and Spongebob were epic. . The real Shaq actually came to Barry Farms one day to watch games and saw a guy there who he helped get a tryout with the Heat when he was on the squad so he definitely could pull some strings. RIP Silent Assassin and P. Shitty(B'more), Barry Farm/Goodman League Legends.
Talent means a lot, and it also means next to nothing. The NBA is filled with beasts. The problem is, so many of these guys have all the talent in the world, but have trash intangibles. That's just for the guys IN THE LEAGUE that couldn't put it together. It's many, many more that had league TALENT, but couldn't get out of their own way. I knew a guy from college who was ridiculously nice. Dude had wild hops, could shoot, had crazy handle and even was an excellent defender. Guess what? When he played against dudes that could challenge him, he ALWAYS shrunk. Like, he had zero motor. Put him up against dudes he knew he was better than, and he looked like a superhuman.
After watching so many episodes ive come to the realization that I love this channel so I just subscribed why did it take so long idk but I'm here now!
Ayo bro. I just wanna say you did your thing in this video. You spoke with such fluidity and have definitely made me feel like “ damn I like Baby Shaq a lot more now too” 😂 nah but on the real I love your “And 1 what happened to the players videos”-. Keep doing your thing kid.
If you listen closely, you hear Baby Shack respond to him saying "I'm trying man" Also, Ronnie Fields jumped higher than D. Rose and he was like 6'2". Look him up, he went to Farragut with Kevin Garnett
NBA LMAO😂😂😂😂😂😂you got to be kidding a 6'5 guy with suspect handles and suspect jump shot making the NBA back then NOPE his offensive game was nowhere near good enough to play 2G OR 3 and he have no chance in the GOLDEN ERA of PF GARNETT DUNCAN WEBBER ETC. Man this is even worse than saying MAIN EVENT had a shot at the league and he definitely had no shot at the league. Liking AND 1 is cool but C MON BRO this guy seriously
Another great video man, Baby Shaq had the total package and would've been a monster in the league but like you said he was content where he was at so much respect to him
I PLAYED against him at the old RUN AND SHOOT IN MARYLAND back in the early 2000s and he was the most Humble dude u met but on the court the hardest dude to guard and I'm 6'5 and was about 220 at the time and we drew a crowd goin back and forth but it pissed me off BECAUSE he had IT and I WOULD have took that opportunity when he met SHAQ
Baby Shaq was tough i wish he would have gotten that shot!
Let's get Future or Shane out here.
Well he could go Big 3 now
Who could he guard, he would have been a liability on defense...... Like B Shaq but not league material.... Perimeter fried in the post Baby Shaq for real.....
He had all the physical tools and the skill to do it. Dude was like a athletic tank on that floor the way he was running through guys.
Baby Shaq was that guy. You gotta do one for helicopter and spyda
I think your right....if Baby Shack would have told shaq like “ yo what you think i need to do to get there? “ or like “ man heres my number im tryna work out with you during the off season” or just anything to be proactive. I SAID THE SAME SHIT!!!!
I thought Go Get it had the best potential.
BABY SHAQ!!! First met this cat at Run & Shoot in Maryland... and i can honestly say it was a pleasure to play with and against this brother! No backing down, no fear to pull from anywhere on the court and would dunk on anyone at will!! I Salute you sir!!!
After watching about 10 videos I'm definitely going to sub this channel. Keep up the good work.

Well after Shaq said that he replied "I'm trying to get there"
He also said that since Shaq told him that he had been on a war path on the court.
