Yesterday i was just watching Hot Sauce's story and how the Professor made it out of the And 1 era successfully out of everybody. And now I stumbled onto this channel. Alimoe and Main Event? These vids bring back so many memories. I still remember when the rim fell on his head
Tbh,only guys that made And1 from ground 0 that had potential making it to the league was Skip (who played in the nba) Alimoe,AO everyone else was either entertainers or rec summer league players
That's all we did was play ball drink beer eat hustle and play some more. The 1s we should have ran off the court were the up and coming cats who had promise. Main had a family. He took care of his GrandMoms and was responsible. He may have made it to the pros. However he still is enjoying his life. I remember playin ball at Delaware park back then in like 2002,3,4. I used to try and play just like him, hell, my AOL screen name used to be Main Event187 or something lame lol.
@stunted growth in 1993-and 94 Rutgers was an Atlantic 10 Basketball school and a Big East football school. At that time, it was Umass or Temple. Rutgers was an Afterthought.

Crazy part is, when the "AND 1" interviewers asked skip who could he see playing in the NBA out of all of those A1 players, he said, none of them qualify!
@@Kingqubaent I remember that...that's because he knew they weren't focused on the things to get you there. Most of those dudes lacked focus or didn't offer anything but highlights. Can you do a video on Oakland's Hook Mitchell. Alot of kids in the hood can learn from his story. People like Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, and Brian Shaw used to look up to him.
