    Rutgers wasn’t in the Big East in 1994. They were in the Atlantic 10 along with West Virginia, Penn State, Temple, LaSalle, St. Joseph’s, UMass (Calipari coached), etc...

      I have a MAIN EVENT Jersey from the 07 AND1 Mixtape Tour in Indianapolis. I was 15. They were $60 and super high quality! I really wanted Hot Sauce but waited til the end of the game and it was OOS.

    Tbh,only guys that made And1 from ground 0 that had potential making it to the league was Skip (who played in the nba) Alimoe,AO everyone else was either entertainers or rec summer league players

    That's all we did was play ball drink beer eat hustle and play some more. The 1s we should have ran off the court were the up and coming cats who had promise. Main had a family. He took care of his GrandMoms and was responsible. He may have made it to the pros. However he still is enjoying his life. He did what he felt was in his best interest and helped alot of people along the way.

    There was a dude in Toronto, they called him Rookie, because he started running games with college guys while still in his early teens, he quit ball altogether at 21 , not sure why , this was in the early 2000’s,,, a few years back I ran into a high school coach that used to coach him and is now retired,, told me he was one of the two greatest basketball talents he’s ever seen

    @stunted growth in 1993-and 94 Rutgers was an Atlantic 10 Basketball school and a Big East football school. At that time, it was Umass or Temple. Rutgers was an Afterthought.

      Crazy part is, when the "AND 1" interviewers asked skip who could he see playing in the NBA out of all of those A1 players, he said, none of them qualify!

      @@Kingqubaent I remember that...that's because he knew they weren't focused on the things to get you there. Most of those dudes lacked focus or didn't offer anything but highlights. Most of them couldn't shoot a NBA 3 pointer at a decent percentage or they lacked fundamentals...I think Main Events & AO had the best chance!

I thought for the early 2000s, he could have gotten a shot at the League because that's when the NBA was all about athletic, lanky, high flying dudes i.e. Stromile Swift, Darius Miles...u brought back memories with Go Get It!!

    Can you do a video on Oakland's Hook Mitchell. Alot of kids in the hood can learn from his story. People like Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, and Brian Shaw used to look up to him. He even had a doc called "Hooked". I used to see him do 360s over the top of cars (not the hood) at mosswood park in oakland, he was 5'9" or so and now when I see him I always wonder what could have been.

    Some of these facts are wrong.. he didn't stop going to school for "AND 1" he stopped going to school when coach "eddie Jordan" (wizards coach at 1 point) left Rutgers... he said if Eddie jordan stayed, he would have been in the NBA! Sounds like he didn't like the new system that was being ran with the new coach (he probably didn't get ANY burn).. so he left Rutgers... later on he was discovered by "AND 1" in the late 90's when he jumped over that motorcycle in his hometown and whatever work he put in NY! These facts were actually told by him.. himself during the "AND 1" movement! #factz

    He was a tweener and I mean skills of a 4-5 but built like a 3-4...

    What are you talking about. Rutgers was not in the big east when he played for then in 93-94. They were in the A-10. Rutgers got in the big east in 95-96 season

    Main's story in my opinion is one of the many situations that shows the importance of having the success mindset more than anything 1st and foremost. The success mindset allows a person to PERCEIVE and believe in opportunities and STICK with them! Also believe in themselves. After seeing here that the brotha had a VERY good shot at the NBA early on and talking on camera on the And 1 ESPN show AS IF he NEVER had a chance? Wha...WHAAA? Really lol?
