Hi Jono, I discovered you quite by accident on youTube giving a lecture on scoring a film, I have watched that video multiple times and have gotten a ton out of it. Now I find you again 🤣 and I am quite stoked. I really enjoy your method of teaching, your humor, and your method of organization, it has been a huge help. I will be taking your teachable course here shortly but I want to get through a few of your free ones first to hopefully prepare myself for the deep-dive. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Thank you so much for such a kind message. Firstly, welcome to the Channel. There are 4 RUclips Orchestral Programming episodes on my channel and, absolutely, as and when the time is right, the Teachable course will take you even deeper into that area. Great to have you here with us!
Hi Jono, having watched all of your free Orchestral programming YT videos, I've decided to enrol on this course in the hope that it will a deep dive further into the areas of Orchestral programming using Logic and already having the SA SSO library seems like a perfect fit for me. I love the approach you have to teaching / educating, so very excited to get started!!
Hi Graham. Thank you so much. I very much hope that you'll enjoy the course. Do note that by joining Teachable, you also have access to the Community part of our pages there, which will be the best place to ask any questions or post any thoughts you have about the course content. Delighted to have you with us!
@@jonobuchananmusic Thanks Jono. Started the course yesterday and loving it. As you are using Logic Pro, I'm learning some of your tips with that DAW also. A lot of other courses, the daw is Cubase so this is a "Brucey Bonus" for me!! :) Thanks for letting me know about the community, fantastic. Congrats again on a great course.
Thanks so much for your interest. When the time is right for you, I look forward to welcoming you into Teachable! Also, do note that via the Community page in Teachable, you can post any questions you have about the course and interact with others who have watched it. Part 2 of the Teachable series is currently in edit too and will be available soon.
Sadly, that part was out of my hands, I'm afraid. However, all of the techniques I look at on the course should translate nicely to any other Orchestral Sample libraries.
Hello Jono! I just started the course this morning and I find it fascinating from the very beginning. Now, given that it's something totally new to me, I would like to know if it's possible to begin using the Spitfire free orchestra (or some built in Logic orchestra), just to start writing some little piece of music, and then switch to the Symphony later on if I realize that it really works for me. Thank you so much!
Hi Alberto. Thank you so much for your support! Yes, many of the techniques explored on the course will translate well to whichever software you have available, so there’s no need to work with the Spitfire Symphony Orchestra as you go through it. Thanks again.
Hi Mark, thanks for your interest. That's right, the course was launched earlier this summer but throughout October '24, you can get a 15% discount on it using the code OCT24 at checkout.
