If you look carefully at the mirror behind him, there is a man holding a gun and wearing a BrewDog ID card around his neck.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha i think lost is decent it's very mild tasting which is what i prefer in the summer
I used to be very anti-lager; hated the stuff. I have since come to the realisation that it was that I just hated mass produced crap lager that you couldn't avoid in the UK in the 90s (the choice was usually Fosters, Stella, Carling or some other piss water). I now regularly enjoy a decent lager (usually german or czech or the lost lager you've got there).
Give Warsteiner a go mate
The suspense at the end was killing me...! Got to get down tesco and try these two....great review Simon..
On my holidays over here, and I think the best UK lagers are Korev (St Austell) and Wrexham (from Home Bargains). I think Korev is the best!
Both great lagers. So superiour to the knock off euro lagers brewed in the UK. For me Brooklyn just has more hop taste whilst Lost is better on a session with it's clean simpler taste. Both great for what they are. Ultimatelty comes down to personal preference. Glad I'm not on a desert island and have to choose!
Lost lager is one of my favourites. Usually get a 10 pack of 440ml for 10 or 12 quid which is decent value for a quality beer.
This was a great review, sometimes there isn't a better beer/lager. Both have good qualities. I prefer the Lost Lager myself but Brooklyn is decent. And it's Scotland v Denmark really😆
Both are a slight improvement on bottom tier beers Carling, fosters, carlsberg. Nothing else.
Simon a bad influence on me I've been going around my area looking for the beers he's been reviewing got some in the fridge now 😁. Great video always watch lots of videos every day
I agree, since I subscribed my lager consumption has doubled 😂
I bought moretti v Aldi fake moretti today. My missus knew what I was up to
I find Spaten, Grevensteiner and Veltins to be better than Krombacher.
Really enjoy the lost lager, think it’s a great beer
Lost Lager = clean and crisp. Just the 4 essential ingredients, very Germanic tasting. Definitely my go to these days!
Just got home from Asda with a fridge packed of 10 cans 440ml of Brewdog lost lager .
Slightly damaged packaging reduced to £6.62.
Looking forward to enjoying them especially as you have likened to top German lager.
Great chanel 👌
really loving this channel...the comments are so interesting, nearly as much as the videos!!
I often see people slag lost lager off as complete crap but I've always thought it was really good. Only ever had the Brooklyn pils once and thought it was amazing.
Hold the Press! Brewdog has got Simon back onboard 😂 Great video. I really enjoyed that. I've not had Lost lager since Lockdown so I may grab a bottle sometime soon. Keep up the great Battle videos Simon 👍🏻
I’m just not going to buy either when Budvar, Krombacher etc are readily available and levels above.
I tried the Brooklyn Pilsner, mainly because it was cheap in B&M. I was very pleasantly surprised by how refreshing it was.
Part of me says don't give your money to Marston, but another part says if it sells well it might encourage them to produce better quality beers.
These are my 'go to' lagers actually. Far better than the drivel you otherwise get like Carling, Fosters, Stella et al. Asda usually have Lost on offer (3 for £21 though not lately unfortunately). Thanks for the video :)
3 for £21?
@@adriancoleman11203x packs of 10x 440ml cans = 30 cans for £21
@@adriancoleman1120 Three multipacks of cans, not three bottles
@@stephengreen3367 Still expensive lol
It was 30 x 440ml cans for £21. 70p a can, cheaper than chips. 😂
Lost is a good lager, it was even better when it was 4.7% but even now it's still a solid beer. German Saphir hops and Bavarian yeast are used which gives it that German style.
Not fussed on the Brooklyn at all, I found it too be very average and just another generic UK brewed lager. Cheers 🍻
Agree with both of your points there. Around 18 months ago my local B&M were selling off 330ml cans of the original 4.7% Lost Lager for 79p a pop, I bought a dozen and that will be the last I ever see of it
Hi Simon . Give cruzcampo a review seem to be everywhere in bridgend at the moment . Ive had it its not to bad . Cheers
Brewdog all day long and it's a bonus they are a fine Scottish company 🏴
I had a pint of Lost Lager from O Neills last week, reminds me of Hop House 13, very decent
I recently tried a pint of Laganitas Day Time IPA....it was 4 percent so I had a low expectations.... in the event in blew me away.... and is my favourite light beer. Have you tried it? How about a video about rating low power 4 percent beers.... I was pleasantly surprised by the depth and body of the Lagunitas.
I remember having that a few years ago and being very impressed. Haven't seen it around for a while
Interesting to hear your views Simon 👍
Love Lost Lager a fantastic beer. Brooklyn nice and refreshing as well. For me the head retention isn’t great though on Brooklyn.
Lost is a good solid supermarket reasonably priced lager compared to the multi bottle/can packs they sell I’d say, that and Heineken is you’re taking a box of beers to a BBQ at someone’s house.
Funny you should post this today as I'm drinking Lost Lager at 4.5%. You reviewed it September 2018 at 4.7%, and gave it 8/10. I first drank it 2.5 years ago at 4.6% and it was good and now it's 4.5%. But Morrisons have 3x10 440ml cans of Lost for £23 right now, which is less than £1 a pint and the Tesco deal works out at £1.58 a pint. Great review and totally honest
thanks for sharing that info, that's a great deal at Morrison's...just trying to see if there's a store local...
Went to Kendall calling festival recently, Brewdog we’re on the books supplying the beer…. Lost larger was the cheapest on the site and the only larger , but it was rank , loads folk complaining about it , ended up drinking Thatchers cloudy cider all weekend
Lost Lager is pretty much my go to nowadays 👌
When I hear your voice it triggers my need for a beer - proper Pavlov’s dog effect. Brooklyn for me, well drinkable.
Normally I'd say the UK and USA are not good when it comes to lager compared to continental Europe...but I've tried these and they are pretty good, dry refreshing
both of those are great beers, used to be able to get the Brooklyn on keg in a few places, mostly American diners and that is even better than what is brewed in the UK
I find Brooklyn Pilsner and HELLES Lager are the best two UK brewed lagers.
Mahou is an incredible tasting lager and is imported
I think the lost lager recipe has changed didn't rate it a couple years ago but love it now
I’m going to give it another go after seeing this, I tried it when it initially came out and they were sending them free in the post. Wasn’t terrible but at best a 5/10 for me, recall it being overly bitter.
I’ve been drinking a lot of lagers recently and I’d put the lost lager as me least favourite beer that I like if that makes sense. That Marstons Brooklyn Pilsner is one of my favourites after Budvar or pilsner urquell is what I look for next. Big fan.
Great video, I've not tried the Brewdog Lost yet.......✅✅
Brooklyn draft is surprisingly good if you can find it - a bit like cross between a German pils and an IPA - plenty of flavour - but still refreshing
Good thing about these two is whatever you think of them personally it proves we are able to brew lager without that typical watery metallic taste
Both decent beers these , I believe the 3 for £5 offer at Tesco is only if you have a Club Card which I don't have because its a Scam ultimately ! .
I don't mind those scams that give you a discount on things😂
I don't rate either that highly but good vid
I wouldn't buy either
Im going to try both now based on this
Ive drank a bucket-load of both these beers and enjoy them both. But for me, brookyln is the better beer
The Brewdog is my go to session beer. Cheap nice aromas but most people prefer the Brooklyn but certainly out of the tins at least I don't rate it
Brewdog seems capable of brewing lagers and stouts, I wonder if they have a different head brewer for their none IPAs?
Haven't had Brooklyn and having Lost for the first time tonight and must say it's average at best .. give me a Chech or German lager any day !
Simon - suggestion; do a review of Edinburgh/Leith Brewery “Pilot” beer 🍻
Both very good largers/ pilsner. drink them all the time Way better than the usual suspects
Didn't like the Lost lager so I'm going to try the Brooklyn instead
You actually like a Carlsberg product?! Last time you reviewed Brooklyn Pilsner Lager you said it was musty, and getting carlsberg involved was dangerous and brookyln wouldn't be happy if they tasted it. Although you still gave it 8/10 saying it was decent just not quite there
Lost lager cracking my local has it on tap lovely!
You will have give the Keg a go on the PD
Controversial opinion but not overly impressed with the brewdog lost...had it a couple of times and its mediocre at best
100 % agree
I was already drinking a Lost from a can (Asda's special offers where they worked out a about 70p a can.) As you took a mouthful so did I and I agreed with you every step of the way. Give me a Lost anyday. However, it was strange to note that yours was gin clear whilst mine is hazy. Not that it matters to me, I LOVE ♥ it.
I enjoyed the Brooklyn NY brewed pilsner. 🍻
Its just personal preference, but couldnt get on with brooklyn. Its lost lager for me kid
I do not like that Brooklyn beer it tastes too bitter to me , the Lost lager ive gone off too as Brewdog has messed with the ABV
Funnily enough, the Brooklyn lager brewed in Europe is a heck of a lot better than the stuff we get brewed in the UK!
Everyone has got different taste buds , its just down to the individual, good videos though Simon ! You make me drink way too much mate🤨
So Brewdog have reduced the abv of Lost. Last time I had it I'm sure it was 4.7%
You can call pilsner lager.
Pilsner is a lager (a style of lager)
Good beer battle
Brookyln deffo!
Sorry, to much advertising.
Brooklyn beer all day! I can't stand lost larger!
Brooklyn all day. Lost is a bit bland.
Agreed, I sent off for 4 cans of Lost lager free from brewdog when It came out I found it extremely bland.
@@ThePawnodog same. Maybe they have improved it
@@Rich.Aardvark Yeah mayby they have. Might be worth another shot.... But if not it just goes to show everyone has different tastes.
i prefer the lost lager
Brooklyn my winner
Why don't brooklyn offer us a choice regardless of cost, EXPORT new york brewed beer..
Don't really know why they discontinued Brooklyn lager in the UK. It was great stuff.
They haven't, it's still sold in some supermarkets and corner shops but is now brewed in the UK too
Brooklyn is just another generic UK lager with a misleading International label stuck on it.
Lost Lager at least isn't pretending to be something it's not and decent for the price.
Both Brewed in the UK by two crap brewers. Don't waste your money
Budvar in a van is a great lager. Even Warsteiner is passable. Don't waste your hard earned cash on bad beer. These two are crap.
Brewdog got it right with this one...I was shocked as well? Proves that you shouldn't mess with things... if it aint broke, don't fix it - ditch the weird milkshake s*&t and go back to basics!
Ugh really shouldn’t be supporting that godawful company brewdog
Brooklyn, its own by Carlsberg Marstons
Brookland...shame on u
Brooklyn
I find this a strange video from you.both drinks are very mediocre at best.and if i hear fookin biscuity one more time !!
