When drill is raw, cruddy and underground, and the beat fits that vibe to, that is when it is the best. But these drill rappers cannot be rapping bout drillings and dissing opps, it won't chart well, they will get censored, and they won't make it out the hood like that. For their sake im glad it gets commercialised and they can move onto a life without violence, i prefer it happens that way but either way, the music gets worse and more commerical. Its is what it is😔 And NY is the last one to hv a good drill wave, idc what anyone says, the Aussy drill was just biting harlem and didn't even add their own twist, no wonder it fell of so quickly 💀
@@crashbandicoot430 facts. I like NY and UK drill. But it’s too commercial and oversaturated now. I barely hear any normal rap, grime, melodic rap or Afroswing in UK rap now
@@donathan2933 i know fam, that is why music is so boring, everyone one in the Uk always hop on one wave at a time instead of being versatile. But at least back in the day, the waves only lasted 2yrs, 3 if we rly pushing it
Most of these artists just stopped dropping music and being consistent or “fell off” cuz Afroswing was pushed to the side and drill became the new hot genre
The shift from afroswing to drill wiped out alot of artists. One thing you need for the UK scene is versatillity
Then all the drill artists tried hopin on afrobeats. The golden age of new generation UK is completely over.😭
