People don't understand the magnitude of how excited and emotionally good you can feel when you create music. Music is such a beautiful thing. J.Cole is definitely one of my favorites. This sound he created is soulful and touching. This is why I love to produce music myself. I could feel the emotion and excitement while watching this video of how everything came together for J Cole.

that's a room full of music heads.. they eat sleep dream about music. music is an art form.. it's like watching picasso or da Vinci paint a beautiful painting. because it's a creation in art, you have to believe that it's going to be the next big thing! that "white" guy sucking Cole's toes knows what it's like to make something beautiful and be like "yup that's the one" I'd be doing the same thing. cause something like that came from nothing.. it makes more sense to be like brooo that shit was the illest.. than not say shit at all. the reason behind it because it's art. if Picasso had his friends around him watching him while he was painting, you would get the same reaction. that's pretty much how you appreciate any sort of art form.. that's how you show love in the name of art! I love music and I would kill to even just jam out with Cole. that's the realest feeling in music form.. is live music! shout out to cole though keep doing what you doing

this song is an example of how goats can make bangers for multiple audiences. You got the radio audience gettin their love song, but also real hip hop heads hearing his story and how all he wants is to make it big. "i want you to want me" is talking to "hip hop" and his fans. Cole too good to get the credit he deserves

It's very common. Actually most time you sample, you try and pitch it to whatever tempo or vision you have. Still sick though.

hmmm, I always thought slowing downs wasn't good, and it reduced the quality. I guess I was wrong. I learned something new

The funny thing for me is when I first heard this song I instantly knew where the sample was from. My grandfather was a huge jazz fan and had Hubert Laws Morning Star album. I tripped out because I rarely know the sample unless I google it or if it's something from the 90's
