Producer's need to do more videos like this because it really inspires the producers that's trying to make a name for themselves.

People don't understand the magnitude of how excited and emotionally good you can feel when you create music. Music is such a beautiful thing. J.Cole is definitely one of my favorites. This sound he created is soulful and touching. This is why I love to produce music myself. I could feel the emotion and excitement while watching this video of how everything came together for J Cole.
Jcole: then I added some *click clack woof purr woof miaooooww*
white guy - damn, I mean thats the craziest part there, man thats just. wow...
that white guy is elite. check yoself
Elite is a beast! He was probably just hyping up for the video
HAHAHAAAAAAAAA
HAHAHAHAHAHA DEAD AF
BuzzyBeatz me what I gotta do for a shout out
The fact that he produces his own shit is amazing!
He doesn't produce all of his tracks.
Thats the craziest shit
@@sertwentyofhousegoodmen4747Yes He Does Goof He Produced Damn Near Ever Track On Born Sinner & Cole World & Like Half The production On Forest Hills Are You Not Checking The Credits
j cole's production is actually on a diff level
If only he did more of these videos.... I wanna see St. Tropez or G.O.M.D.
"A Tale of 2 Citiez" needs one of these too !
+ThatGuyMohamed GOMD YESS
+ThatGuyMohamed Watch the road to homecoming series, its everything he never showed before.
+ThatGuyMohamed look up xsaunders
watch sandurz on RUclips. he literally starts with the sample and makes the beat exactly
This truly makes you appreciate J cole that much more
3:57 lol that guy is so high " the kick is so empty... but its full at the same time".
nice one haha that had me laughing for a sec
before i read your comment i said to myself this has to b the stupidest shit i ever heard then i read your shit and fell over laffing ... hahahahahaaa
lol
Ross Hall lol if you dont make music you wouldn't understand haha
eqow lol if you dont make music you wouldn't understand haha when mixing you can't have certain frequencies mixing with each other.or else the sounds block each other out. he means the sound is fat but its light enough that it dosent interfere with the 808
bro just imagine being part of dreamville
firefighters outside the studio all day
+Marcus Estudillo Nahh They Be Livin In The Studio All Day
+Marcus Estudillo L
one day
Thato Sibeko ur a fucking pleb
he kept pulling his hood off when he was talking to people and then back on when he was making the beat haha
For me ive implemented this on my work ethic as in "hoodie on is game time, no distractions" "hoodie off is a break, but it cant be even 1/4 of the time used to work" 🙏🏾 we all gon succeed, but those who stay on the path have a clearer view.
That beat at the end tho...... SHIT IS DOPE!
that's a room full of music heads.. they eat sleep dream about music. music is an art form.. it's like watching picasso or da Vinci paint a beautiful painting. because it's a creation in art, you have to believe that it's going to be the next big thing! that "white" guy sucking Cole's toes knows what it's like to make something beautiful and be like "yup that's the one" I'd be doing the same thing. cause something like that came from nothing.. it makes more sense to be like brooo that shit was the illest.. than not say shit at all. the reason behind it because it's art. if Picasso had his friends around him watching him while he was painting, you would get the same reaction. that's pretty much how you appreciate any sort of art form.. that's how you show love in the name of art! I love music and I would kill to even just jam out with Cole. that's the realest feeling in music form.. is live music! shout out to cole though keep doing what you doing
Henare Wihapi i agree love that feeling when it all comes together sounds and feels beautiful
The white guy is a famous producer ive forgot his name!! Too sick
8un3zz that’s what the producers do ..... artist (vocalist) kind of learn along the way if they truly wanna be hands on they basically become producers themselves
@@lydis284 That "white" guy was Elite one of Dreamville's best producers and NO HES NOT SUCKING COLES TOES TF one of the best producers imo
@@jonharvey6295 I'm a white guy you utter little prick and I said he was too sick?? Meaning good you moronic fuck I also said I forgot his name so in reference yes the white guy hahaha did you not read a thing I said or read what you wanted to see? Fuck off mate
I love to see how the songs are broken down & watching it become a masterpiece 😮💨
its not the software, you will find other successful ppl using different DAW's. its You. Ableton, logic , FL studio, etc all have someone successful using them. find a DAW, learn it completely
+O J Exactly
+O J Real talk.
GarageBand
+DJ KAVEMAN Ahahahahahaha 😂
Chris Loya Aye people make that work too. I've heard some ill tracks made in it.
i love the way it sounded when cole said the part at the beginning 😩
I love watching producers break down their beats. Hopefully I can be on one of these videos in the future!
Crazy how his process works. Such a lyrical craftsmen
The world needs more videos like these from any artist and any genre!
this video made me the producer that i'm today !!!! never forget these great artists !!!! i'm just greatful my ears encountred them !!!! they keep u motivated !!! they give u dreams !!!! thanks cole for real
Word up!
Anytime you making a beat and you get that "oh shit!" moment, thats how you know you doing something right 😂👏🏻 1:20
That "Brooklyn" beat was getting good at the end lol
i can already hear jay spittin fire on that beat
+Faa Solaita jay didn't like Cole
faaaaaacts!!! This voice was heavy and all in my head haha
you mean just babbling bullshit and getting over praised for it
Chianya DAMN U FINE
crazy how that one percussion sound just added to the beat.
This is my first favourite song I had. As soon as I heard it i listened to all of J. Coles songs
i became a jcole fan when i learned he made some of his own beats... then he really became an elite in my eyes when he made this beat (instant radio classic) and layed the perfect verse, and wrote the perfect hook... lots of rappers would have fucked this track up with garbage lyrics, cole nailed the vibe perfect - doin my "no ID reaction" right now :)
yeah he did. hit that Triple Double
I love watching stuff like this because they always point out subtle stuff in the music that I might not have heard at first but when they isolate everything you can tell everything makes a difference in the final result
Jay need to fuck with that Brooklyn beat Cole had at the end
+Mir Redd i was thinking the same thing
I'm sayin.. shit you know Jigga don't stop neither so thas probably gon b on his next album lolol.
Daryl James yea but cole made this beat around the same he made born sinner so its too late
he is a damn fool if he doesn't
***** truth
In my high school we have two classes called Intro to Recording and Sound, and Recording and Sound 2. We learned everything from how frequencies and wave forms work, to producing, mix/mastering, and even marketing your music. We also used Logic!
he using logic. thats whats up
+Lucid Soundz ayyyyeee
+HellaBeats ayyyee
hahaha i am like damn....fl studio lol
+Lucid Soundz AYEEEE
why do all the top producers use logic and not fl?
This is my favorite J Cole Song ever.
The beat at the end sounds crazy!!!
This man......... he is so artistic. So genuine. This is why Cole the best
I dead ass i watch this video atleast twice a month! Keeps my wheels churning! I swear one day, i will collab with Cole and K.dot. Mark my words. Shay Grahams , remember that name!!🔥🔥🔥💪🏿
Back again! Still growing💰
As a content creator this is one of the most inspirational videos for me that I can’t stop coming back to.. every watch reminds me to lock in and do what needs to be done.. I guess we’ll see where it takes us.
Yooo the level of creativity in this was wild
I swear i could watch this a million times
would love to see the making of "A tale of 2 cities". want to know where that inspiration came from
forreal! that and fire squad
Vinylz made both those beats
I never heard of him. I'm about to look him up!
Taj 95 same here. He did a fantastic job
He didn't produce that tho
This beat is a sweet POWER TRIP 🛸🤞🏽😎🙅🏿♂️
awesome shit ....slowing down that sound was dope
SO SOULFUL AND BEAUTIFUL!
love people asking what program he uses who cares u can use anything its the person with talent not the program with talent
*****
The difference is workflow. Using both, I can say that FL Studio is still more powerful. So far.
***** Yeah, but I use maschine as a plugin for FL Studio lol. I tried using it solo and It's not made to be used by itself. NI is pretty great though. Intermediate level vsts.
Cole and an Akai are a beat match made in heaven
It’s mad organic
I can't even explain my feelings!! I just think he is one of the greatest rappers!! He is a music genius and also one of the best producers!!!!!!!! I just fucking love him and especially his work!!!!
Dope , pure creativity
"It's so empty.. but full at the same time" lmfao!!!!
Makes sense. The track sounds full, but plenty of room for vocals to sit anyways.
Damn, he's got the vision! Crazy talent!
Still nasty in 2016
Mathieu Riesling still nasty in 2017
Still nasty in 2018
Still Nasty in 2019
Still nasty in 2032
i went to a showcase when he first got sign to label. He hadn't even dropped a single yet.He was awesome and I'm glad he made it.
J Cole uses logic.... Not machine.
He was in FL studios buddy
Josh From The Valley hahaha ... He uses logic. I know because I am there sometimes when he works.
Josh From The Valley BUDDY! lol
haha yeah my bad could have swear i saw a video of him using fl but i doubled check and wrong my bad lol
JRLM Lmfao
seem like a bunch of chill dudes.. would be a blast to chill in the studio with em
"it's so empty, and full at the same time" hahaha love it
It's crazy how far j Cole has come and the fact that he was still humble and thinking of a track for someone else. Today j cole has to be one of the most creative minds don't get me wrong Kendricks damn album bangs and a classic but j Cole is the king of rap. Period point blank.
The end beat if fucking hot!!!!!
this song is a master piece
its cool how some rappers make their own beats and others let other ppl do it for him at least J.cole isnt Lazy
I just can’t get over how beautiful this is. ❤️
Tell 'EM Brooklyn'z on the way!
Nate or Nathan beat goes hard
this just made me respect his musical talent thaaaaaaaat much more.
I fuck with the process
watching over and over again
That's the craziest shit
This video ist like oddly satisfying. I watch it very often.
why jay didn't do that Brooklyn beat i will never in life understand.
You literally can't help but rock your head to this firreee when he get further and further into it
"IT'S ABOUT TO GO DOWN!" 7:32
Still one of my favorite jams...
that shit for Jay was 🔥!
daamn i didnt even realize the humming thing in the sond till they talked about it, liking the song all over again. they talk about it around 7:00 in
Love watching this dude do his thing in the studio
I'm such a huge fan of Cole since the friday nights/warm up days, how did it take me so long to find this video. Cole is a legend in the making, just like Kendrick.
jay passed up on dat beat? really?...smh.. cole is a beast. jay would rather pass up on a beat like this from cole and do tired shit with swizz beatz and timbo... I don't get it
***** real talk
***** I see your comments everywhere fam lol
***** doesn't matter, timbo and swizz aint giving him heat like they used to.
Timbo still nasty though but i agree with u ablut swiss
+jstuy1 swizz**
J. Cole Snapped on Beat🎧
Why J. Cole looking like Mr. Robot in the thumbnail
😂😂😂😂
lmfao
omg
yo Cole did this legendary
My boy be usin logic OKAYYYY!!!
Nico Shihadeh right ?! I was hyped
Nico Shihadeh a shit ton of people do lol
But not a shit ton of professional artists do...
This why I like Cole more than Drake
THAT BASS IN THE END THO!!
last beat is mad ill yo!
This video is single handedly the reason why I want to get into beat making
Probably my favorite beat of Cole's. Always wondered how he got the chugga sound
One of my favorite videos
Damn that Brooklyn beat tho!!
this song is an example of how goats can make bangers for multiple audiences. You got the radio audience gettin their love song, but also real hip hop heads hearing his story and how all he wants is to make it big. "i want you to want me" is talking to "hip hop" and his fans. Cole too good to get the credit he deserves
I'm very much inspired by this I'm married to my music aswell Ups to cole
now THIS is when being a 'yes' man is a good thing. this beat is crazy and the sounds overall are in the pocket.
3:25-3:45 chills
Gain so much more respect for J Cole after watching this... Music Genius!!
How come I still haven't heard that last beat on a song yet after over 3 years?! or did i just miss it somewhere
Same here. I want that last beat
Got mad respect for this guy
OMG he slowed down a sample!!!!! lol
It's very common. Actually most time you sample, you try and pitch it to whatever tempo or vision you have. Still sick though.
Yes Men Galore! That Brooklyn beat at the end was hella dope!
hmmm, I always thought slowing downs wasn't good, and it reduced the quality. I guess I was wrong. I learned something new
The funny thing for me is when I first heard this song I instantly knew where the sample was from. My grandfather was a huge jazz fan and had Hubert Laws Morning Star album. I tripped out because I rarely know the sample unless I google it or if it's something from the 90's
Damn it!!! That track is fucking bananas!!!
It'll be so dope to have people that hype me up like that 😩 very much helpful lol
4:50 always gets to me: the creativity of manipulating a sound that you literally don't expect to be heard differently!
In case y'all wondering, he gave the Brooklyn beat at the end to Fabulous. Fab said it himself some time ago.
HOV GOTTA STOP MESSING AROUNG AND RAP ON THAT BEAT AT THE END
super facts
That shit was garbage
