sir how to solve this question - A railway ticket for a child half the full fare but the reservation charge is the same on half tickets as much as on full tickets . one reserved a ticket for a journey between two stations at rs 362 on full and one half reserved tickets cost rs 554 what is the reservstion charge
Let x be the full ticket and y be the reservation charge.
Then according to given
x+y=362 ………….(1)
and x+x2+2y=554
3x+4y=1108 ……………(2)
From equation (1) & (2)
3x+3y=1186 from (1)×3
3x+7y=1108
________________
−y=−22
________________
[y=22Rs.]
Hence the reservation charge is Rs. 22.
