Thank you Bishop Jakes for putting this out there. I respect your voice and opinion and, by me not being Black, wanted to hear what Black leaders in this country are saying. More specifically, what Christian Black leaders in this country are saying. Thank you for talking truth. We need a whole lot more of it. It is a Black and White thing. It is a police brutality thing. But at the very center of it, it comes down to a heart issue. A heart issue with the person and I'm praying that it's God that touches the hearts of men, as I believe this is the only way of true transformation. Amen Brother!

I couldn't sleep when the video went up. I'm in Pretoria and honestly I just got depressed and angry. I cried so hard and I just felt heavy hearted for all black men. I had to pray for divine comfort and healing because it hurts so much.

My dad called out and mention his mom before passing and my mom used to talk about her dad before she passed
I thought the same. She was there to comfort him in his last moments. God gave grace where man had none.

Injustices come to all mankind no matter what the color. There are people out there that want to make this a race issue so they can divide people to weaken our society. Yes, there are racists but think about it, there are Christians around the world that are tortured, and martyred everyday for the cause of Jesus. I'm talking about true Christians, fully surrendered to Jesus that are willing to give everything up - fame, wealth, power, status, their careers - to follow the precious Lamb of God. Yes, it is a tragedy that George Floyd was murdered by a cold hearted killer(s) which was so painful to watch on video. But please don't let the devil fool you the real issue is about SIN, not race. (Christians are one body, no matter what the color through the precious blood of Jesus - That is what SOCIETY NEEDS).
I pray that people get on their knees right now, in the precious name of Jesus and REPENT...America is going through judgement right now and the Lord in His mercy is giving us all a chance to repent, yes, even Christians, those that are lukewarm...please REPENT! With all due respect bishop, why is it that when these things happen you never speak out in a way that the world and the people need to hear you. The nation needs leadership right now with all that’s going on. Why don’t you go to the battlefield and help guide us ? Your words could have a profound effect on and in people’s hearts. I’m disappointed that you and the other big names in religion are radio silent. Prayers are fine and all but people need action. Get out and help us. All you regions leaders should be out here. What’s the problem? What are y’all afraid off? Don’t you think y’all have enough money , that you don’t need to worry about any negative repercussions? I don’t see any negative only positive coming from it. Honor Martin Luther kings.memory, don’t just save it for Sunday’s in the pulpit. The entire nation needs words of encouragement. If you listen harder I’m sure god is telling you to gather up your colleagues and go to the streets! Anything! I cannot stop crying. All of the deaths at the hands of police officers have been horrific however, it is something about this one that deeply and profoundly hit me. I am a white police officer who has listened to T.D. Jakes' sermons for years now. I listen to him because I have a front row seat in a world full of hurt and pain that I see everyday in this job. I have been on the verge of losing my faith in humanity for many years now because of this job, and I feel God speaking to me through him. I'm so sorry for the death of this innocent man who did not deserve to have his life taken by those who swore an oath to protect it. We are all God's children ... George Floyd was my people too! My pain is so great, I just don't know where to go from here.
I am from Australia and nothing has made such an impact on me than to see this man George Floyd calling for his mother whilst being choked to death by a member of the Police force,
and its heart wrenching.... I pray for his family who have to endure this pain but please know the impact George Floyd has made around the world in my heart I refuse to forget and he will always be in my prayers, thank you for showing some leadership as this is what's missing in this world right now because we have turned our backs on God and gone astray...
