I've seen this movie at least 10 times, a wonderful love story full of kindness, respect, faith, in rural Georgia. Very typical of north Georgia. Watch it ladies, you'll fall in love with Reeve all over again.

I just finished Lavyrle Spencer's book, and I almost cried when I realized that there's a movie and Christopher plays Will... This romantic story was very new to me. I'm used to read romantic novels where main characters have a huge physical attraction, but this couple... It's different. Will's love is so deep, it goes beyond their bodies, it's about his deepest traumas and soul injuries, it's about what both of them wanted all their life, about finding a soulmate. It's so beautiful...❤❤❤❤ He fell in love with her whole self, with her spirit. I love it❤

I agree that both lead actors played wonderful roles, humble, respectful, displaying every lovely caring quality towards each other in their desperate need of each other. I was today years old (yes, that dates TF out of me) when I learned this was a movie. I've read LaVyrle Spencer's novel over and over and over - one of my "guilty" pleasures as a teen guy in the late 90s. I still love the novel to this day and I'm excited that they actually made it into a movie.
But only two found in all the billions or skachillians ever found as the final count God would know and maybe make the fact known if the topic comes up...Dana and Chris ...wow...the universe changed as the love left became free to live with no limit of humanity needing only to be happy and humble and kind. Free and their is no one whom can ever change how forever two remain happy as death could not rob their goodness as they lived true to their very being. The magnitude was and remains inside of me...a kaboom that God himself had to feel his heart as the universe heard God received all He ever wanted. Alone my Creator can never find He forever is. For any person whom believes themselves to know real true love, know God and know even I wanted only you to know what is true and you must search inside of your own being, what is right remains true and what you find remains wrong even while you attempt to pick and choose. The tears of love will be pouring upon those whom know only right is always true and where is love alive and unwilling to save one you. Uh, beautiful movie, eh?

I saw him on stage with Katherine Hepburn back in the day and, of course, in Superman. He has this decency about him that is rare on screen. But for me, it's the actress who was the best and heart of this movie. She was so incredibly courageous, beautiful, and a free soul. She had horrible experiences as a child, and the town she grew up in treated her horribly. Yet, she drove into town to save her husband. But it was the beginning scenes with her in them that made her a hero to me. She faced impossible odds, yet her character is one of the best in a film I have ever seen. It's a wonderful movie, but it's her character in the movie that made it so special.
I'm not a fan of tear-jerkers, but this film was far beyond that. Reeves was beyond praise! I can't imagine that he did not get an award of some kind; Deborah Faffin was total perfection - the quietly growing romance was natural and wondrous to watch. Reeve's respect for womanhood and his gentleness should be an inspiration to every man. But I suppose those days are gone forever, alas for us.

Beautiful, touching story. I love his acting in this. He truly played nostalgic, gentleman roles perfectly. It came natural to him. Love, love, love Somewhere In Time. So sad that he experienced tragedy in his accident, but he and Dana had a beautiful, strong love. Unbelievable that she also passed quickly after him. And their one son has grown to be a beautiful person like his parents. He truly resembles Chris. I am also saddened to see the tragic death of the leading lady in this film. Wonderful movie! Often the best films are overlooked by the critics. I love the setting and story. Moving because real life can be hard, but real love makes it all worth it. ❤
I read this book when I was a teenager and it was one of my favorites always went back to it when I was bored and to my surprise there is movie. Not bad the actors really did a wonderful job.

I always loved Christopher Reeve and my top favourite movie was Somewhere in Time...he was lead man with Jane Seymour...another great movie I adore with him in it. So sad he had to die so young but he left some great movies for us. God Bless Christopher and his Dear wife who sadly died awhile after him...R.I.P. to them both.... Can't argue with that except for the degree of quality. It's the rarity of a film of any quality and the, as you say, amount of commercial rubbish that is released that makes this film appear so special But non the less it was enjoyable and entertaining as well as a very simple and human film as I imply myself above. Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I'm a big fan of Christopher Reeve. I saw this movie at the library and I just had to watch it. I've never seen Christopher act like this in a movie. I loved his performance. He is just so handsome in every scene. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I love the scene between him and Ellie when he kissed her for the first time. He said, "I've been wanting to do that for a long time. " He went on to say that he wished the baby was his. Well, you know they took care of that later. She got pregnant by him after they were married (she even told him she didn't want no more children because she already had 3 under the age of 5). But, what woman can resist Christopher's charm and charisma. I loved every scene of this movie and didn't want it to end. Plus, it was nice seeing Christopher shirtless (even though he did have blue overalls on). He was SO tall and good-looking! Now I have to read the book. Thanks for uploading this.
I myself at even 40 yrs old, recognizes the drastic change that has happened n the world.. from movies to real life.. I remember when 18yrs old really meant u were an adult, not just because that’s what the law says, but because most 18 yr olds behaved the part.. in every way.. there was more innocence peace kindness empathy respect, not just for others but for oneself, there was pride, now it’s like 18yr olds are still children, it’s every man for themselves and the world is just one big cesspool of disgust and disappointment.... o to have a time machine

I happened upon this by accident...a very lucky lucky accident. I didn't know that they made the novel Morning Glory by LaVyrle Spencer into a movie. I've read it at least 5 times and was always wondering why it wasn't made into a movie! I'm beyond happy to find this. I'll need to read the novel again...exceptional!
I've read Morning Glory twice and I still go back over the best lines. Lol. Morning Glory is one of the best books I ever read. Will Parker a mighty fine man to Elly. He cleaned up the farm, fixed up a car out of old rusty parts, got the bees under control and sold lots of honey. Most of all, Will Parker showed much respect to Elly even when they got married, he didn't touch her until she was ready. What a man!!!

Now I have finally understood the thing about books vs movies!. just started reading books recently, it really is true that books has more to offer than what's shown in a movie
This and "Bittersweet" are my favorite books by the author Lavyrle Spencer, I have read this book multiple times but I kept putting off watching the movie cause I just know it won't come close to the book,and today I finally decided what the heck I'll give the movie a try 😂.Here goes.....
This is exactly! Why,I loved, and still love Christopher Reeves!! He was such,a GREAT,HONEST,LOVING,CARING,ROMANTIC, THOUGHTFUL,FAITHFUL, KIND, AND HANDSOME MAN!!! the kind of man,EVERY woman dreams of!! 😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘 R.l.P. Mr. Reeves
I saw him on stage with Katherine Hepburn back in the day and, of course, in Superman. He has this decency about him that is rare on screen. But for me, it's the actress who was the best and heart of this movie. She was so incredibly courageous, beautiful, and a free soul. She had horrible experiences as a child, and the town she grew up in treated her horribly. Yet, she drove into town to save her husband. But it was the beginning scenes with her in them that made her a hero to me. She faced impossible odds, yet her character is one of the best in a film I have ever seen. It's a wonderful movie, but it's her character in the movie that made it so special.
I'm not a fan of tear-jerkers, but this film was far beyond that. Reeves was beyond praise! I can't imagine that he did not get an award of some kind; Deborah Faffin was total perfection - the quietly growing romance was natural and wondrous to watch. Reeve's respect for womanhood and his gentleness should be an inspiration to every man. But I suppose those days are gone forever, alas for us.

Nope. Not gone. The whole time I was watching, I kept thinking how Reeve’s character was so very much like my husband, who is the best, most loving, man I have ever known.

Wow it's been a long time since I've seen Christopher Reeve. What a good actor, and so cute. It's so sad about his tragic accident then his death.
I loved the book .... It's really well written ... Those who haven't read it yet.... Do give it a try .... It's a little different from the story and much more satisfying....

Good movie, very touching, a credit to the actors. The story was well written and protrayed what can really happen to people. Recommended if you like heart warming stories.

Beautiful, touching story. I love his acting in this. He truly played nostalgic, gentleman roles perfectly. It came natural to him. Love, love, love Somewhere In Time. So sad that he experienced tragedy in his accident, but he and Dana had a beautiful, strong love. Unbelievable that she also passed quickly after him. And their one son has grown to be a beautiful person like his parents. He truly resembles Chris. I am also saddened to see the tragic death of the leading lady in this film. Wonderful movie! Often the best films are overlooked by the critics. I love the setting and story. Moving because real life can be hard, but real love makes it all worth it. ❤
I read this book when I was a teenager and it was one of my favorites always went back to it when I was bored and to my surprise there is movie. Not bad the actors really did a wonderful job.

I always loved Christopher Reeve and my top favourite movie was Somewhere in Time...he was lead man with Jane Seymour...another great movie I adore with him in it. So sad he had to die so young but he left some great movies for us. God Bless Christopher and his Dear wife who sadly died awhile after him...R.I.P. to them both.... Entertaining and uplifting, good casting, appropriate background music, a realistic courtroom scene, nothing unnecessary.
The one thing that was absolutely unnecessary it was the sleazy pornographic scene between the waitress and the police officer. So disturbing to have that scene interrupt a lovely movie.

Can't argue with that except for the degree of quality. It's the rarity of a film of any quality and the, as you say, amount of commercial rubbish that is released that makes this film appear so special But non the less it was enjoyable and entertaining as well as a very simple and human film as I imply myself above. I would probably have enjoyed it more if the sound track had been clear to hear and understand.

I've never seen Christopher act like this in a movie.
I loved his performance.
He is just so handsome in every scene.
I couldn't take my eyes off of him.

Well, you know they took care of that later.
She got pregnant by him after they were married (she even told him she didn't want no more children because she already had 3 under the age of 5).
But, what woman can resist Christopher's charm and charisma.
I loved every scene of this movie and didn't want it to end.
Plus, it was nice seeing Christopher shirtless (even though he did have blue overalls on).
He was SO tall and good-looking!
Now I have to read the book.

I myself at even 40 yrs old, recognizes the drastic change that has happened n the world.. from movies to real life.. I remember when 18yrs old really meant u were an adult, not just because that’s what the law says, but because most 18 yr olds behaved the part.. in every way.. there was more innocence peace kindness empathy respect, not just for others but for oneself, there was pride, now it’s like 18yr olds are still children, it’s every man for themselves and the world is just one big cesspool of disgust and disappointment.... o to have a time machine

Another great movie for Christopher Reeve. I was drawn in so quickly with the superb acting and story line. It shows that it is not what you have, but what you make of it no matter how hard the times. I will defiantly purchase this one for my collection.

I happened upon this by accident...a very lucky lucky accident. I didn't know that they made the novel Morning Glory by LaVyrle Spencer into a movie. I've read it at least 5 times and was always wondering why it wasn't made into a movie! I'm beyond happy to find this. I'll need to read the novel again...exceptional!
After watching the full movie...it left out some major, major parts...read the book. If you liked this movie...the book is way beyond extraordinary!

I've read Morning Glory twice and I still go back over the best lines. Lol. Morning Glory is one of the best books I ever read. Will Parker a mighty fine man to Elly. He cleaned up the farm, fixed up a car out of old rusty parts, got the bees under control and sold lots of honey. Most of all, Will Parker showed much respect to Elly even when they got married, he didn't touch her until she was ready. What a man!!!
