I like watching movie's like this. It's been helping me out lately. My husband passed away last November. It's still hard knowing he's never coming back to me. I miss him so much. I don't know what I'm going to do without him in my life anymore. These movie's help me not to think about it all the time. I've been staying in our home and not going out much. I know he wouldn't want me to do this. I'm working on getting out some. I will always miss him and love him so much. Thanks for the movie.

I'm in love with the story. Sooo beautiful. My husband passed away at 31 due to covid. I'm 38 now. I missed him, but I also on the plan of salvation. I know I am still young and want to be married again someday to someone who I will dedicate myself and who will respect and love me too. 😊
Should have watch this movie a long time ago. I can truly relate to this movie except for Mason character. I'm a single lady has a sister who passed away a couple years back, I inherited her two sons whom I cared and love so much and been finding ways to legally adopt them. Don't have to give birth to them to be their mother, love is all it takes, and that's true essence of being a woman.
As their closest relative you are their natural guardian

You're very correct, as anyone can be a parent but not all can be either a father or mother. In other words birthing a child doesn't make one a mum or Dad, but the willingness to love unconditionally and sacrifice all that is necessary to ensure and insure their happiness and overall wellness
I love this movie already. It is so very nice that Kevin knows who his real mother was, from the beginning and to know his father wants him also. This is going to turn out very well with the both of them and especially for Kevin too. That little boy made the right decision. Jane Seymour is an excellent actress and so is James Brolin, a great actor. Anxious to watch it already. Thanks guys.

James Brolin....Ahhh! He reminds me of my very 1st t.v. love, @"Lloyd Bridges in "Sea Hunt" series! YES, and I do think it s the Hair similarity that does it for me! Lol
Sometimes I think that romanticism is over, that love is in extinction, so movies and poetry remind us that love is infinite and will always be in the hearts of those who accept it!
Love is action. You cannot say you love someone and do nothing. I love the way these two adults went out of their way to show their love for a child. Such a beautiful movie! I love it.

Shelley, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I lost my soul mate 2 years ago. The emptiness is always there, but it does ease. All I can say is try to think of the good times and don't let anyone tell you that you should be better by now. We all grieve in our way AND at our own pace.

Grieving is a process and there's no time limit or set time period it's full of ups and downs and different stages of grief!
I lost my Jim on Sept 2, 2020. He died from dementia. He was diagnosed in 2013 at the age of 56. So far, it’s not much easier. I said all that because I wanted to say this: People keep telling me it gets easier. I don’t exactly believe that. I had a complete stranger tell me that it doesn’t get easier, it gets different. She hit the nail on the head. I’m terribly sorry for your losses and whoever said that everyone grieves in their own way was absolutely right. There’s no timeline for mourning so don’t let anyone make you think you’re doing something wrong. I only had my Jim fir 12 years. But it was the best 12 years of my adult life.

Watched this movie 10 times and it still thrills me. Never get bored with this movie. One of the few movies about life after having a child not just ending a movie with a kiss or an wedding scene. How i wish my life was like this! Sigh , back to reality

I love movies with old fashioned romance and no cussing or nakedness. After all we all know how to use our imaginations. We know what comes next when two people fall in love. This was a Beautiful story!!! It's about time. Here's hoping they have sense enough to make more movies like this one!!!!!

Love this movie. I've watched it at least 3 times now. Sad beginning but happy ending. James Brolin and Jane Seymour are two of my favorite actors and are awesome together in this movie.

Nice film. To all those who say it’s totally unrealistic, it’s just a film, isn’t that what we watch them for? Films take us away from reality for an hour or so. If you want true life films then watch them. Analysing make belief films is daft.
Karen D I agree, why do some people always have a negative reaction? When our reality overwhelms us watching make believe movies is a nice antidote, it maybe temporary but it tends to bring us back to our reality in a lighter way I guess.

Once James Brolin married Barbra Streisand he didn't do much acting. That was too bad, he's a wonderful looking man and a good actor.

The dad is very reasonable- I understand how the adopting mom is so defensive and threatened. However, the movie shed some lights on real aspects in human lives, losses, confusion, control and love!

I do agree with you Shelley. I lost someone who was very dear to me and I miss him so much, I know I have him in my heart, I watch these lovely films, but for me they bring back all the wonderful and beautiful times we had together.
What a movie. I love the way the child had to make both parents to behave like adults. Love is something special. I really enjoy the movie. Movies like this are wonderful natural and eloquent.

I like how the judge says that people go with stars in their eyes and then once it doesnt go their way they turn on each other. Seen people get nasty divorces.

I saw this movie the first time it was on tv, I absolute fell in love with the story and I love the fact that they did finally fall in love and made the best parents for Kevin. I absolutely love James Brolin and Jane Seymour great paring for this movie

Working as a classroom teacher I once knew a little girl who suffered from blindness caused by the trauma of her parents' divorce. It was purely selfishness that caused the divorce, but they still refused to act civilly toward each other and be nice for her sake.
Oh, people it always depends, what's really going on in a family. My parents were fighting day and night and screaming at each other every day. So we kids prayed that they finally get divorced that eventually there's some peace possible, we were longing for desperately!!!
@@boomerangsruckflug8513 It's usually not a binary choice with the options being "stay together but keep fighting" and "get a divorce". We expect siblings (children) to get along, so why don't we expect at least that from married couples (adults!)? My mom divorced my father without a good reason and so many people do, leaving scars in the hearts of so many children, including my siblings and me. We've been ripped in half with mom not even wanting to acknowledge the existence of my father - who is just as much part of me as she is. I don't know your exact situation, but I do know that a lot of divorces are happening that really shouldn't and a lot of grown-ups are acting like toddlers.
After years of the algorithms pushing this movie on me, I finally watched it. Glad that I did.
I was growing up during this time, but after a decade of cellphones it has become odd not seeing them in movies.
Apparently they do have Cellphones already. I just assume there wasn't any since he had to walk back to the office when Mason received the letter. I imagine in the time of cellphones he would just make calls in the car on his way to the airport.
The best part of this movie was when Molly said to her: THE MINUTE YOU WALKED IN HERE AND LEANED OVER THIS INCUBATOR YOU BECAME KEVIN’S MOTHER I SAW IT CHRIS
And she’s so stunned but she knows that is the truth in the end

I beg to differ about "this only happens in a movie". My aunt married her eldest's sister ex husband after her sister passed away. She married him because my eldest aunt and her husband had a young son. Life mimicked reel life yes it did

Together I thought they made a striking couple, and I also enjoyed the happy ending. What some people find "cheesy", others find rewarding especially when life can be very unpredictable. Go for the "gusto" when the chance comes your way and don't look back.

Yes...it is TRUE. Many of us African Americans are descendants of American Natives-NOT Africans. Listening to these drums lifts my soul. African drums had always repelled me before I read that I am actually American Native. I had always loved everything about American Natives.

Children long for a two parents stable home.The judge is right, we attach too much novel romance to marriage.Marriage is a functional institution, to foster many social, psychological and even economic functions.Romance is a bonus but it helps to make a marriage exciting and more fulfilling
