Rotten Tomatoes goes with the average on how many critics gave a movie a fresh rating and how many gave it a rotten. A critic might have given the movie a 5.8 but its still considered as a negative on RT. You getting my point? Everyone who gave it a rating below 6 is considered as negative. So dont take that 29% into your head. Most Critics are giving it a rating of 5.5 to 6. But if u take the average of it, it becomes 29%.

I'd have to agree. I like the way DC is going about there movies and this movie was no different the fact that they have guts to do things other comic book movies don't is what gives them my props. Batman v superman was a pretty good movie despite some flaws I'd heard when I watched the movie those flaws were barely noticeable and only present at some times. This movie is a definite 4/5 and in my opinion is better then most marvel movies. You guys can attack me in the comments if you want but I stand by my statement as a fan of the movie and that you people just like to nitpick and explode every DC movie when those problems were very minor to begin with. If you didn't like the movie so be it, but I thought it was a very good comic book movie.

The whole "Zod's body getting mutated into Doomsday" is actually from the newer comics, where Kryptonian soldiers have a "Doomsday Gene" that mutates the Kryptonian into a creature similar to the original Doomsday in the older comics.

First of let me say that Ben Affleck IS Batman. This was the closest to the Comic book I have ever seen on screen; frankly he was perfect and true to the Character of Batman.
Superman is what we saw in Man of Steel, yet grows a lot in this chapter. We see a side of him we have not gotten a chance to see and this movie does a lot to make up for what happened in Man of Steel at the end.
Wonder Woman was really interesting, as she is shown to be right in the middle of the boys -- the cleverness of the Bat, and the power of the Supes. Well done, and just enough to wet our appetite to see more.
The supporting cast all do their jobs. Lois is much better in this format, Alfred is wonderful, and Ma Kent is like everyone's favorite mom.
Now Lex...this is Lex Luther's origin story for this universe. For people who say this is not Lex -- yes it is; it's the beginning, and I think the next time we see him, it will be quite a different take than we see here.
Visuals...beautifully done; epic even. It took me three scenes to see what Zack S. was doing. He wanted to give us a true to Comic movie, and he does this by the shots and scenes. After the 3rd scene I realized I was reading a comic. Let me explain, because a lot of people are saying bad things about this movie and you need to understand what Zack was doing:
It is shot in shorter scenes of 5 to 10 minutes; it goes from Batman to Clark, to Lex, and it is like turning the pages of a comic. It is shot with close-ups like panels and whole page spreads visually. Some scenes are shot up close with quiet dialog. Some pull back to show the power of our heroes.
This was a risk Zack took, too, because a lot of people don't actually read the comics, or if they do, they may not understand a lot of the principles of layout. This is a TRUE comic book movie, true to the Comic heroes and true to the layout. If you love comics, go see this movie and let your eyes just read it.
This is for everyone having second thoughts about going to see Batman v Superman. Do not pay attention to the critics and haters; this movie is fantastic. I give it a 100 out of 10. Nothing they said is true. The cameos didn't seem out of place; they fit neatly into the movie. The story is also connected and understandable; it does not seem like they are just jumping to different scenes that don't tie together. The actors also played their parts beautifully and the music was epic. Zack Snyder, the cast, and crew went above and beyond, and really deserve your support because they made a great movie and the world deserves to know

I wouldn't say all that. It has its flaws for certain and they are pretty noticeable and the pacing is off around the first act cause it's kinda slow but other that if can get passed it is a solid flick. as a comic book fan of the whole industry I'd give it a 50/10. but as a movie goer it's a good time no alcohol required. (although Jesse Eisneberg couldn't make up his mind on what he wanted to do for the character, he went from menacing to insanity to down right cartoonist at times that really taints the overall tone of the film)

What made the movie for me, was the relationship between Superman and Lois Lane. It was a realistic, compassionate, and super heartbreaking at the very end.
The points made in this review are exactly what I felt. I noticed the editing, but where people saw a chaotic story, I saw a movie that would've been too long if you didn't whittle it down. The point of this movie, for me, was that there is a price to pay for heroism. Batman is dealing with inner turmoil, Superman is dealing with inner turmoil, and even Wonder Woman was retired (as it were) due to the consequences of being a hero. This is a beautiful movie and is a solid start to the DCCU. Great review!

that sharknado score are just based on 17 reviews while bvs score are base on hundreds of reviews . if sharknado have the same amount of reviewers as bvs i think sharknado's score will decrease and it will be alot worse than bvs.

When people hear a bad review about this movie, they say it's wrong and that that person's opinion doesn't matter. But, when people hear a good review about this movie, they agree with it and says its spot on. Like wtf it makes you all sound like even more of DC fanboys. See it yourself then judge rather than dropping people's opinions because you THINK that it'll be good. In my opinion, this movie is not the movie we've been waiting years to see. Deep down inside we all know that we anticipated much more.
Yay! You seem to be the only person that was able to get past expectations and enjoy the movie for what it is. I loved it too because I knew what I was getting into. That said, I loved Jesse as Lex. It did work for me. He clearly had diabolical ideas, was incredibly smart, but as opposed to super suave, he was socially awkward. He did scare me at certain points. He was absolutely positive he was doing the right thing and that's pretty terrifying. Also, I consider this his trial run. He know looks like the Lex Luthor we know and am excited to see how he grows into that intellectual juggernaut.
Also, yes. Michael Rosenbaum's Lex is perfection. That would have blown my mind had they cast him.
This is what pisses me off. The fact that all the negative reviews are using the lack of "fun" and "humor" as their basis for judgment. Or "Linear story telling". Like judging a fish for it's ability to climb a tree. Like the "marvel" way of making a "superhero" movie is the only way. Of course it's not funny. Of course it takes itself seriously. That's the whole point. I feel this movie is being unfairly critiqued. An injustice that can easily be attributed to preconceived notions of what a superhero movie is "supposed to be. A light tone and linear story. I'm sorry but marvel doesn't portray the action or philosophy like we see it in the comics. Sure it's fun. But the scenes in bvs look like they've been ripped strait from the comics. if your a fan of the comics or animated series. Zack made this movie for you. Not artsy fartsy movie snobs or general audiences who only seem capable of viewing a movie in the "superhero" genre through the "marvel lense".

I believe Dark Seid is coming, and I think he'll resurrect Sups to become general of his army (without him remembering who he is of course) that's why flash comes back in time to warn Bruce that he was right about him. If you remember in Batmans dream sequence there is a huge Omega symbol emblazoned on the ground and Sups already has the superman army. That might set the tone to assemble the rest of the justice league to actually take on Superman and Dark Seid until atleast Sups remembers who he is. Just my theory. What do you think?

Tyrone if you saw the DC special, they say that Flash wears some kind of Tech suit for his powers. Unlike the tv show, this Flash's powers are more powerful and he has to wear a tech based suit in order to fully use them without causing harm.
The footage they show of him using his powers shows that whenever he uses them it causes damage. Damage to any electrical currents out there. The suit is mainly probably to stabilize his power around people
The thing I find interesting about Batman killing is that I don't think he was originally a killer. Alfred gives the hint when he says powerlessness makes a man cruel. Batman waged a war on Gotham's crime element for years. As he put it, "The weeds just kept coming back." He grew weary, hoary and frustrated until we see him as the man in the movie, one willing to kill and brand criminals. He felt impotent against the criminals he's fought so long against. Batman thought he would be enough to quell the crime in Gotham and became angry at his failure.
Superman was the opposite. With all his Super powers he felt inadequate. He was good and saw the depth of Metropolis/Gotham's depravity and knew he wouldn't be able to solve it. He was no savior.
This is the dilemma for Batman. He projected his own perceived inadequacies and his own realized cruelties upon Superman, which made him want to kill Superman because a cruel Superman would become a world wide danger. It was now the most important thing he'll ever do.
That's why I think that scene in the basement of the abandoned building during the fight is critical. It's the only thing that would have snapped Batman back to reality... back to his humanity and understand he's been the cruel one... that he's been projecting his own anger, frustration, pain and failure upon the man of steel.
I'd be willing to bet that, though Batman will be the brutal bad ass we see in the warehouse, I don't think he'll intentionally kill again.
Even though Lex wasn't what most people expected him to be like, I truly felt entertained whenever Jessie showed up. Idk in my opinion

Tyrone always watched your reviews but kinda new to this suscribing stuff. You sir are my first person ive ever suscribed to. I also loved this movie it was perfect. It was even better then i thought, if that was possible. Im gonna say it...THE BEST MOVIE EVER. Its been out three days ive seen it three times in theatre. Which by the way the last viewing i went to, the crowd applauded at the end. The first time ive ever been in a theatre thats happened. Loved your review thank you brotha. Simply amazing movie. Oh im a huge superman fan and zack snyder is staying true to the comics. Loving life.

I was ok with how they made doomsday but what was impressive is that they stayed true to the comics and DOOMSDAY evolves.. I loved it and I believe he isn't dead yet.. He'll get more stronger and scarier and evolve to become resistant to kryptonite... And everyone can & should watch the movie... There were little kids in the theater and I could hear them talking excitedly about superman after the movie asking parents if superman was dead... The people loved it and everyone was clapping during the epic fight scenes!!! I wish the critics would just shut up about the movie not being good... It was freaking awesome!!!

The next time Ben Affleck's Batman encounters the Joker, I expect that Batman to murder the Joker, straight up. There is no reason, especially since Joker has killed at least one Robin, for Batman to show the Joker an ounce of mercy.
