yeah I do want this drawer to hold minimal products but I just wish I could spread out more, when I can see stuff better things actually get used BUT you're right about smaller being better to focus on fewer products xx
I also don’t wear full face of makeup everyday but I try to at least wear my lip products, this way they getting used and I know what I really like and the rest can go bye bye. There is also less chance of them going bad since most of lip products are good for about a year. I keep my everyday makeup in a makeup bag since I don’t have space but it comes in handy when I have to take it from the shelf to my “makeup table” 😂 Is it perfect? No, but I’m used to it by now. I like that you prioritize your project pan items but try to incorporate some other stuff from your collection as well. Sending some cooler air from Poland 🤍
Omg, I don't live in a place as hot as Perth but my apartment building is WAY overheated and I'm sure it has reduced the shelf life of any liquid or cream makeup products I have. They're always softer than they should be and I can't imagine the temperature is good for the stability of their formulas.
I think to fit more in the only available desk drawer, take out the smaller clear acrylics. Put the foundations, face palettes/compacts, sprays, on the outside of the acrylics. All the rest like pencils/small tubes/tools put in the acrylics. Essentially everything is 'mixed' but the idea is to place by 'size' instead of 'the type of makeup''. To increase room availability, I get cardboard boxes or containers that's straight 90 degrees so everything can line up. (The original ones you had before) Those new acrylics you've got are pretty but they're only suitable for bigger drawers bc it's clearly giving you 'less space'. 😅
Panning a Lisa Eldridge lip gloss also - took out stopper and argh- gobs more product. But feels so nice on the lips. Want to get glossy products down to just the LH fantasticks as they have spf
I just wanted to share my story, I recently organized my makeup, arts and crafts and a lot of papers and stationery. For storage I tried metod drawers from Ikea. It is part of kitchen series, but it works so great for heavy items. And drawers can be pulled completely, no dead space ;) I would never go back to alex drawers.. Metod all the way :D
💜💜💜tfs💜💜💜 its 38C here today, Pauly has gone to sit in a steal shed to play D&D with his mates (that's either commitment or stupidity, I'll get back to you on that after he gets home) whereas I'm not leaving the house, sitting right under the vent to our ducted air! I'm not crazy!! Well, not much... unsure what it is in Perth today, but hopefully you're not dying too much.
Are you planning to pan some of your hourglass ones you said were starting to smell off? I remembered you saying when you did the last sniff test on them
In a way the smaller desk is a blessing in disguise because it is going to force you to focus on/keep fewer products.

42 today, 42 tomorrow. I've given up lol
@@HaileyO no no no no no... yuck
I thought of a totally over the top idea… you could get a 3d printer and custom print your trays… 😅
Hahaha it's not such a wild idea these days, I believe you can get 3d printers for a fairly reasonable price
@@HaileyO cheaper then buying a new desk for sure lol
Are you planning to pan some of your hourglass ones you said were starting to smell off? I remembered you saying when you did the last sniff test on them
Probably not, I'll try to cycle through them, declutter as I go and use my faves
It bothers me so much that you can’t find storage to fit that drawer perfectly.
It bothers me too, so frustrating!
like why cant that drawer just be them right size to fit containers, who made it odd shaped??? @@HaileyO
