I don't know if this is some sort of Mandela effect in my video game memory, but I know I've played Little Samson in the 90s. The issue: was it at a friend's house, or was a rental from Blockbuster? The game sprites, Little Samson, and the dragon especially, and the music kicks in my memory, so maybe I did actually play it? *cue X-Files theme song*
Dude that's crazy. I've also had that before. I never played it till 2013. It's an incredible game filled with such tallented artists. Always appreiciate the support brother! For THE WAAAARRRRIOOOORRRRRRR!
I recently had the chance to finally play this game thanks to a repo cart and man is this game good. If only it had come out earlier maybe we would've had 6 Little Samson games like Megaman does haha
I had never heard of Little Samson before, but watching brief snippets of gameplay, I saw the Capcom influence right away. Interesting little grail, and if I'm not mistaken, there was a copy on your previous little excursion with Willy! Great history lesson here, and great video as always!!
I was so happy when you got this game in Nintendo Quest. I could see how much it meant to you, just like stadium events. Do you still own your complete NES collection from Nintendo Quest? Would be awesome for a follow up episode on your collection Jay!
Little Samson is the most important NES game for be for sure my friend. THe story behind it is amazing, and how I got my original copy I will never forget. Thank you so much for watching!
Your series has got me wanting to collect NES and SNES games now but I fear I am entering that genre of collecting a bit late LOL. What do you think it would take to build your original NES collection (From Nintendo Quest) today??? $60k? $80k??
Much much more than that. Games have done nothing but go up in value and what Sampson alone was worth in 2013....that's nothing to now lol. BUT don't ever let that discourage. I say go for it and start slow
Love the history lesson! I had no idea that it was made by some of the ex-capcom employees. I used to draw the mascots a lot, the wars were real back then. I've never played it, might need to go give it a shot. Thanks for sharing the history of this super rare game.
5:38 The comment in the game review about "not getting a haircut until you play this game" must be a reference to the Biblical character Samson, even though the game is not about the character. In the Bible, Samson was granted superhuman strength as long as he kept his long hair. His lover Delilah betrays him and cuts his hair in his sleep.
Love a video where I'm educated as well as entertained! Great Job Jay
Ah thanks brother! Glad you enjoyed it and got learn a bit about this classic grail
I played it on my Nes Action Set in the 90s, it was one of my favorites! How well it has aged!
It's an amazing titel. SO cool that you got to play it in the 90's. It wasn't one I remember back then.
Thank you for watching!
Cool bit of NES and gaming history
Thanks brother! Much love

Interesting! Thank you I didn't know that bit of info.
Thanks for watching the video!
How rare is this game in Japan? Did it meet the same reception?
Not nearly as rare. In North America it was a really late release for the NES, 1992. Once reason the main reason it didn't sell many copies
