Tampa Jay,, you could buy alligators up until 1968 in Florida..we also bought some from St. Augustin Alligator Farm too. I have photo albums with pet alligators from 1 ft to 5 ft. growing up... we kept them till they went to puberty, then we turned them loose near my aunts very close to the Okeefenokee Swamp. Then, bought another baby & started over. 😊
Gatorland in the “natural elements”, I know the Gators and the animals enjoyed the rain, hope you did too brother. 75 years as an attraction is amazing.
Not a fan of gators, but watching with one eye opened, lol! Both you and Tampa Jay stayed on the mechanical gator longer then I would of. Enjoying the video, thanks again. Watching from the safety of my livingroom😎

Mom & Dad bought me a baby gator there in 1959. We raised it to 5 ft , then released it at my aunts just on the edge of the Suwannee River by Griffis Fish Camp by the Okeefenokee Swamp. It was like a pet dog. Great pet, never bit anyone...great memories ..!!

My biggest memory of Gatorland was when the Black Bear got out. I was a kid at Summer Camp near there and we all had to go hang out in the enclosed Pool until it was safe.

Man, those gator growls were insane! Proper dinosaur noises! Also, do umbrellas exist in Florida? They'd certainly be handy for those heavy downpours, and since you're not wearing a sweaty poncho or anything, you still get the breeze. Loved all the Florida man energy in this video! Kudos to Gatorland for staying open for so long with Disney world so close by, and with all the other attractions closing in florida.
