Our first ever winter as a family in Sweden, let alone on the countryside. It's been challenging but when the first snow falls it lights up our mood and surroundings. Hope you enjoy this winter vlog!

It's all about finding the right gear. Once I found out about fleeced-lined leggings, duck boots, base-layers, mid- layers, etc. I absolutely love being out in the winter elements.

WOW!!! This is so beautiful!!! Winter with the snow truly makes the cold season magical. I really understand what Max was saying about the sun. I lived in a place where it's sunny everyday for 2 years and slowly without realizing it, I started to take it for granted. Now, I'm back to a cold climate and whenever the sun comes out, I feel like Superman recharching his batteries! I love the happy snow family! I hope I'll be able to build a snowman too one day 😊 Happy holidays!!!🤗
I know living in the Swedish country side will come with its own unglamorous hardships (isolation, cold, lack of sun, less convenient access to things) BUT you make it look so so beautiful on your blog. As Max said I guess the grass always seems greener somewhere else. Or it could be your superb filming/cinematography. Merry Christmas Max & Maya!!

Christmas has nothing to do with Christianity in Sweden, the tradition is an old germanic tradition, thats why you can see a lot of Goats around christmas in Sweden for example as they are the goats of Odin. And christmas is Jul/Yule in Sweden, the name Jul has nothing to do with Christianity.
