Me and my wife were at Lahaina walking the boardwalk and amazingly enough he was actually hanging by himself at the moment and I walked up introduced myself told him I was a fan and hopes he enjoys his trip and he said “ thanks daddy I appreciate yah “ . My wife had no clue who he was and thought he was a homosexual lol

I saw Theo Von one time at my job and he was the sweetest dude ever. I was on my way to lunch and we took a picture and he even gave me $20 for lunch for no reason I was kind of embarrassed lol but it was very nice of him.

Theo did amazing carrying/driving the conversation, Izzy has such a powerful presence and it felt equally proportioned in terms of dialog. Can’t wait for Izzy to retire to hear the stories =) but only after a few more iconic fights

Theo has an incredible ability to relate to a person by talking about himself without making everything about him.
I didn’t want this guy to stop talking . His perspective on protecting his sanity and boundaries to preserve his art form is very relatable. I hope he comes on again.

He can be a bit smug and self centered for sure, but u don't become a great champ in combat sports without having crazy self confidence and belief in urself. To be 100% honest I flip back and forth between being a big fan and hating on Izzy, depending on who he is fighting 😂
@twm1423 No Cap BUT he is Special, to have achieved what he has(in my humble Opinion). Now, with regard to how he feels about himself… I myself have not always been the Biggest Izzy fan. As I have felt the Cringe stuff to be Unbearable at times (frozen like Elsa/questionable antics with pets etc). I can't/won't however just Cap based on stuff that's happened or occurred in his past. As I do however Understand the Importance of One's Ego, its relationship to Many other Significant aspects of our personality & Just how Pivotal All of that Is, especially when one contends to be a Great Fighter.
However, like most people, we tend to reflect on our lives & hopefully we grow & move forwards/progress. It takes us a whole lifetime of ebbs & flows/Checks & Balances/Hardships before we may begin to learn or recognize that. I just really appreciated his candidness & respected his honesty regarding his comprehension towards the level of self awareness displayed in this interview.

I've never been much of and Adesanya fan until this podcast. I think Theo has the ability to bring out the beauty of individuals. I don't think I saw it until now. I walked away from this podcast really liking Izzy.

The conversation about humility is so important for everyone to ruminate on. It doesn't matter if you're at the astronomical level of the Last Stylebender or you're working a 9 to 5. It's not only ok, it's *imperative* that you recognize your own greatness and embrace that. Minimizing yourself to make other people comfortable does a disservice to everyone. This was such a phenomenal interview! I've never heard Israel speak at such length, and it was amazing! Theo, you're absolutely killing it week after week!!

Hearing them talk about how they handle fan interactions and the difficulties that come with it was refreshing. At the end of the day, they’re human and no one wants to be bombarded with people thinking they’re owed something.

This is something I have noticed about Theo. He is insanely good at making his guests comfortable and feel at home. He does things that are super small, like altering his speech, to make his guests feel natural and casual. He was most likely doing this because people in New Zealand say that often.

I wish I could like this twice. Love the REAL interviews with fighters in this long format. Was always my favorite JRE podcasts to get to know my favorite fighters outside of the cage and their unique personalities. Also, Adesanya is VERY well spoken which makes it more of a joy to listen to.

After the biggest moment of his UFC career, the first person on his mind was Israel.
I watch a lot of podcasts, and while I have a few favourites This Past Weekend could be my number one. Theo is so unique, with a personality that people really seems to help people trust him. Combined that with the fact he has people on from all different social classes and walks of life, you end up with some really beautiful, raw and special moments.
What a great interview!! I love Theo, I would love to see him live one day.. I can’t imagine knowing either one of these two before they blew up and not wanting to be their friend!?! Both just seem so genuine and real and funny!
Man all Theo wanted growing up was to be seen, heard, and loved by his family....... isnt it crazy that he finally got what he wanted, but it's on a global scale now!! I dont know a single person who doesnt absolutely love Theos comedy and his super humble, kind, honest and almost naively innocent personality!! He's literally just the best 😁✌️

Genuinely love that Theo always brings out a freedom in his guests. It doesn't matter what their lifestyle or background is. The child-like excitement to share an experience with someone who is genuinely there for the same reason. Its fantastic what happens when you listen to understand and not listen to respond.
The speaking to your younger self talk hit home for me. I Never thought of looking at your inner latent thoughts as your scared inner child before.

I Met Theo Von after a stand up comedy show he headlined, he took the time to talk to everyone afterwards. When I asked for a picture not only did he take a picture with me but he talked to me for a few minutes. Not only did that make my month but I became an even bigger fan of Theo, gang gang for life! One day I will be in his podcast and tell him that story!
