This song was recorded in 1965. Same era of Beatles, the early days of British rock. Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Animals were of the first generation of rockers. Huge influence. Classic song.

Only the Stones could get a song past the censors talking about a girl who's on a losing streak because she's having her period and it go #1.

This was ground-breaking rock and roll and remains one of the classic rock songs. No one can forget this riff once you've heard it.

It ain't about songs on the radio, there's another type of "satisfaction" Mick is looking for. 😁

Interesting fact is Mick Jagger is still healthy for his age. Stones are still touring today except without their longtime drummer, Charlie Watts who died in August of 2021 at the age of 80.

One of the most recognizable riffs in rock and roll. Try out later songs “Waiting on A Friend” or “Paint It Black”.

This song was a HUGE SUCCESS for the Stones. It literally put them on the map. We may all have different interpretations of this or any other song for that matter. It was amined at the youth of the 1960s. Every generation has it's idea of how things "should" be and how they want to break away from the generation before them. Just a few years before this song was released the tv networks were not "allowed" to film Elivis below his mid section. Times change and most of us change with the times.

It's mind blowing that the writers of this song didn't want it released as a single!!!

this was the defining song of an era - it delineated The Generation Gap; from t.v. commercials, sexual morals and frustration, to what people smoked - he's saying 'nobody speaks for me but me'.

Check out more of this era of the Rolling Stones, like "19th Nervous Breakdown" or "Mother's Little Helper" or "Heart of Stone" or "Midnight Rambler". Enjoyed your reactions!

Rolling Stone Magazine years ago voted it as the top Rock Riff in History for whatever that is worth.
