We use Banco Agricola... I like that they have an ATM at the mall in Lourdes where you can make deposits without having to go into the actual bank (which is the biggest pain!).
@@hagenaarsfamily I hear you... the good thing (with any account I would think) is you can do online transfers to your landlord so you can keep out of those lines!) I don't know what electricity you have but I also found I can pay Delsur online through their app and I use my US bank card that doesn't charge international fees or you can use your future El Salvador bank card). Anything to stay out of the banks ;)
I think Banco Cuscatlan would be a good option, but you will only know if you call those bank institutions and you compare the benefits you could get. By the way here in Lourdes we Just have a mini cuscatlan Bank.
You may want to reach out to this family that moved to El Salvador from Canada their youtube channel is called Brave New Path, they can tell you their experience with the banking system in El Salvador
Please let us know later the best option for you I am interested as Well, when I have been there on holidays I usually pay a lot for each transaction so I need to find a bank as well😊
I think the Scotia Bank was bought up by another bank here. And they are not a good bank in Canada either so not sure I would go with them. The banks in Canada would be a whole other video because they work with the government and freeze your bank accounts and steal your money.
DEAR CHARITY: NOW RUclips HAVE THE OPTION TO TRANSLATE FROM ANY LANGUAGE TO SPANISH OOR VICE VERSA. IF YOU'RE MAKING VIDEOS IN ENGLISH, RUclips TRANSLATE THEM AUTOMATICALLY. SO, TRY NEXT TIME, AND MAKE THE AANOUNCEMENT. ok??
I made sure the English was correct on my last 3 or 5 videos and then I asked Google to translate it for the subtitles but some people wanted me to speak in Spanish so this was my first attempt. I didn't check the subtitles for these last two banking videos because I had the slides for pretty much exactly what I was saying, not sure how good the subtitles would be for these two banking videos.
@@hagenaarsfamily OK! That's nice of you trying to speak a foreign language. But i was talking about the tracks (when you speak, youtube hide your voice and they insert the voice of translation) I've seen many videos like that. I can understand whatever you're saying, but many people who don't speak English can't. But, you decide whatever is most convenient. Take care Carity! And enjoy the freedom that many of us didn't have.
HERE IN EL SALVADOR BANCO CREDOMATIC AND BANCO CUSCATLAN ARE BANKS NOT RELATED TO CRYPTO, GIVEN THAT IT´S NOT POSSIBLE FINDING THEM IN CHIVO WALLET AND OTHER CRYPTO WALLETS FOR TRANSFERS, OTHER SALVADOREAN BANKS ARE RELATED TO CRYPTO TRANSFERS, AND THAT´S VERY GOOD TO KNOW THUS RELEVANT IF YOU MIND TAKING IT INTO CONSIDEREATION, ENJOY YOUR SETTLEMENT INTO OUR COUNTRY, WELCOME!

Also good job on the Spanish... the best way to learn is just speak and keep speaking :)
That is where we go to pay rent to our Landlords account. The line up there last week and Monday were insane!
