Bhanumathi was like a volcano, full of energy. Unusually talented actress, writer, singer, director, music director, producer. Unique film personality of India. When I met ANR few years back, he talked about her, how great she was. Of course, he spoke highly about Suryakantham garu too. PB Srinivas doesn't match NTR, only Ghantasala matched NTR. Movie shows the contemporary scene of early 1960s.
After pretty a long time am watching telgu movies as I am. away and out of telgu language to a large extent but still I have attachment to the south movies and songs as it remembers me of my grandmother's days of the southern land which I miss. Watching this movie is very interesting better than the movies of this generation as the old movies have a realistic approach and theme which one must watch.
Suryakantam garu was undoubtedly a great cine artiste.Great actor.I am proud that I am from her native place.She was one of the very few actors in Telugu cinema I admire.Look at the energy and naturality she puts in her roles that she portrayed.I always love to watch her movies wherever I am in the globe.I still just can't believe that she is no more.

Movie is really nice. Thought it is a very predictable movie, the way it starts till it ends taking us from one scene after another with ease and interest, makes it worth a watch. What more added to it is the characterizations that the actors strictly adhered to, especially by the leads. ANd Bhanumati garu was a treat to watch with her nuances and NTR garu was a delight to watch in such a reserved portrayal.
