I love my rojo congo too! Yours is beautiful, do you notice they are extremely prone to edema? My mother’s rojo congo is also prone to it and she got hers from a nursery! Mine came from Home Depot.. no matter how careful I am with her watering, she always gets some edema when I water. 😩
Yes, they are so pretty. When I purchased it, I had no idea it had the ability to get so big. That was a lovely surprise! Thank you so much for watching and sharing.
LOL!!! Yes indeed. they grow so fast. I gave this one to my mother in law and I am really missing her. I decided to restart another variation. I don't think any of them grow as fast as this one. Happy Monday to you Muvah! Sorry for the delay in response.
Thanks for sharing Rachael. The Rojo was one of my first plants so she has a special place in my collection. Beautiful and a workhorse in terms if resilience.
Hello TPE! That's wonderful! Yes, the plant is beautiful and very rewarding to care for. It is always pushing out new growth, and the leaves keep getting bigger. Thank you for sharing your love of the Rojo! 🙂
Love your rojo! I have a prince of orange little baby and it's slowly growing so I don't start fertilizing till March again since I live in Ohio. Do you use some plant shine on her leaves? They are so so shiny"))
Oh, the price of orange is gorgeous! Those bright orange new leaves are just amazing, Jackie. No, I do not use the shine product on the leaves. When I clean the leaves, I put a little neem oil in the water to keep pest away. Than you for watching and sharing🙂

Yay!!!! I am so happy for you. That sounds perfect. I love terracotta. It takes away the worry of over watering your plant. She must look amazing in that pot.
Thank you for that info about the sun burning spots. I thought mine had a fungal infection and nothing was working. I do have it in a south facing window, too much sun. Thank you for all the info. I love all your plants!!! Great, great videos!!
I love her too! My leaves took a beating this summer outside and I can barely sleep at night. You really get attached to this baby!

I think it’s an imperial red not a rojo congo
Oh, really. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. 🙂
Yes I was going to say it looks nothing like a Rojo Congo, it's too light, Rojo Congo leaves are a dark dark green 💚
I love congos. they are so big and shiny

You are most welcome. These spots were a major puzzle for me as well. I was so happy when someone told me it was being burned. What a relief!?!
