Just like you, I love raining days. Including while I'm sleeping or napping 💤😴💤 I also liked playing in the rain as a child. Even as an adult and now as a much older lady, I never cover with an umbrella ☔ except when the rain is heavy because I enjoy the rain drops on my face.

I am in the UK and so loving the life you have wherever you are. I feel so sad here in the UK. I booked a ticket for Ghana and am hoping I can make it there. Why do we sit in the Western world suffering wanting more money to get out when we used to live on the bare minimum before we left our home country. ❤❤❤❤

08:49 Water can definitely help dehydrated plants, I'm a new gardener (3 years) but I've learnt alot so far and have rescued many a seedling, let alone plants, that have collapsed and withered from dehydration. It is best to water them when the sun goes down, or before the sun comes up, as when you water in the peak of the heat most of the moisture will evaporate before getting the chance to rehydrate the plant.

Take courage and remain hopeful despite the setback. Just water the garden as best you can and the wilting plants will be revived as they rehydrate. They missed you while you were away running errands hence their 'depressed' look.

09:30 With plants that have fruit that are mostly water, like cucumber and watermelon, when there isn't enough water the plant will take water from the fruit to keep the plant alive, so while your cucumber wasn't good enough to eat, it was still a water source, and therefore support system, for the plant. Next time, keep the cucumbers on the plant until you can water it.

When we had a bad drought in South Africa, I bought a large rain tank and am thinking about putting in drip irrigation to save water and to keep the vegetables going.

Yes watering usually makes it better. Watering first thing in the morning before sunrise helps. Also watering in the evenings, atleast twice a day. If you can harvest rainy water, when the rains come it will help during dry season. Well done, don't give up on them yet, try watering them.

The only way to help your crops when there's no rain is to manually water it but also cover around the crops with grass so that the soil retains moisture even if you don't water for days. Also try not to water the leaves of your plants. Water the root base instead to prevent the sun from scotching the leaves on hot days. Take heart, you are doing a good job
