To outsiders her assist probably looks really lame but to a fighting game fan it looks stupid good. Slow projectiles and long lasting stationary hitboxes often heavily restrict your opponents movement and ability retaliate simultaneously.
See I like how some in the FGC are making efforts to help educate fans! You're 100% on point, as this reminds me of Nero's EX-Deer summon from Melty Blood. Your opponent is forced to jump, block, or evade (preferably to the corner), and this helps with pressure and minds games.
just like Multiversus' Tom and Jerry style which the atk animations doesn't directly interact with opponents cuz they're at it at each others, Her attacks should be just things she clumsily do and hits opponent
And also the time that she exposed her pantsu before changing his new 3D model but it got nerfed after that, RIP old Miko's pantsu, may you keep in peace.
Seeing how people use mikos collab its actually pretty OP yall. Especially if you use the lava bucket at a wall/corner and you are continuously attacking the opponent in said corner.

I love that the assist is named "Demon King Mikochi" like it's an insane ultimate like Akuma from SF but it's her falling down over and over again lol.
That lava bucket assist looks goofy, but it's absurdly good for locking down corners and potential crossups in general. As someone who plays 3rd Strike regularly, I can't help but compare it to Aegis Reflector. It doesn't reflect projectiles, but it does everything else very well.
i love the irony how Miko's assist is like the most embarrassing of them all with her just tripping all over the stage constantly and panicking for dropping a lava bucket, yet gameplay wise is like the best assist in the game

The only reason ya think fighting games have a lot of characters is because the assets, animations, balancing, characters, etc are built up over years of consecutive games. New games never have huge rosters in the beginning. Idk how far these developers are planning to take this game but I can promise you are not seeing all the members anytime soon. That's what the collabs and cosplay colors are for.
The game is free because the devs don't own any rights to create an official game from cover or their members that act as a face of the branch company So, they can only make a fan game for fair use
Holo EN already has Ame in as an assist and a stage that has Gura and Callie in the background. At least one of them is probably coming in a future update at some point.

I do hope that if she gets made into a playable character that they show off her good sides too, because Miko's more than just pratfalls and being set on fire.
