I recently watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer because I saw someone on tik tok talking about how they watch it for fashion inspo and I really loved it. I've been very into 90s fashion lately and have already been influenced by outfits from the show. I am normally not into the fantasy genre very much and you do have to get over some goofy/dated looking monster stuff, but the characters are really well written, the problems feel realistic for a late teens/early 20s audience, and everyone has very interesting style for the time.
Also for reference, I'm mid-20s and it didn't feel too high-school-y for me to be interested, as a lot of other teen dramas are.
i watched it for the first time a couple years ago and it has impacted my style like no others! it’s still my favourite show of all time
I love the Durrells. I also love the fashion that Anya Taylor Joy wears in the Queen's Gambit on Netflix.
I often get colour inspiration for my outfits from Studio Ghibli scenes. The last one I watched, The Boy and the Heron had such beautiful use of colour that I had to keep stopping to grab screenshots!
another show that i think has incredible fashion is "my brilliant friend". it's an italian series that is set between the 40s and 80s and all of the outfits are very interesting and accurate to their time. i think each outfit reflects the characters identities and social circumstances and serve as storytellers in a way. the attention to detail really makes the series a visual masterpiece in my opinion!

Such a fun video! I love finding inspiration from shows/movies. My husband will often lean over and say, “I bet you love her/his hat/cowl/jacket/etc” and it’s usually a period piece. Thank you for such thoughtful suggestions. I tend to be a bit picky and don’t want to waste my tv time. Your comment about not insulting the audience…so resonates with one of the things I notice about really great film making (and when it’s really bad). I totally agree about British television.
One of my all time favorite period shows for fashion inspiration is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Highly recommend if you haven't seen it!

Animations have a lot of good looks and am glad you featured one of them❤. As a kid I always wanted to live in a world like Avatar's especially the blue world 😅. I miss those days especially when watching TV with my now late mum 😢

I didn't see the show "Avatar", but I know a great movie "The Last Airbender" from 2010, I guess the show is based on the same story.
