I installed my braidlocs about three weeks ago. YAAAAAY!!! My experience has been soooooo different lol. I actually used to wear my natural hair in the plaits as a protective style ALL the time so wearing them now is no problem. It's one of my favorite styles! But it's so much better when done on non-stretched hair to me. It takes a little more effort but well worth it. I did them really small (because I wanted sisterlocs but not the price if them lol) and plaited as far down as I possibly could and the ends coiled. The first wash was soooooo awesome!!! I can't keep my hands out of my head feeling for new growth lol!!!
I am in the middle of re-tightening my braidlocs for the first time. I was completely freaked out by the bulb and I thought I was doing something was wrong!! Thanks for this video!!
I think I'm oging to do braid locs. I actually WANT frizz. I have fine, low density hair so I'll need the frizz and fuzziness to fight the scalpy look.
Your braidloc journey is incredible! - Can I ask, after how long from braiding it did you begin to interlock? As I guess the moment you interlock is when your braids go from braids to actual braidlocs!
Thank you so much for this video! I am in the process of coloring my hair in prep for doing my braid locs. This was so informative. I am doing my locs a bit bigger than yours at first, I’m super excited!
I wonder if "the bump" in between interlocking and three strand braids sounds like a knot created by not pulling the entire shaft of braid licks all the way through the base center of each loc.
Your videos are so informative and detailed I really appreciate your perspective! I'm pretty sure I didn't make my braids small enough but hopefully they'll still be as cute as yours
I just found you and OMGOSH, hot damn 🤩😍🤩😍🤩🤩 You Are Without A Shadow of Doubt Perfection, those eyes , teeth hair Beautiful Queen🥰 Oh by the way I'm going to start my braid locs this week!! I had locs for 14yrs, cut them last year but now a new journey 2020😊
I just did my own my only concern is I don't have a lot of braids I tried doing them smaller and my hair was super thin so I tried doing them bigger but now my hair looks stringy I'm worried 😟 😨
I’m so happy you made this vid. I’m almost a month loc’d, and I haven’t washed it yet. I interlocked but some where coming undone. The frizziness is horrible but I rocks it. I really do thank you. Any more tips?
Braidlocs I have been obsessed with my hair. My hair is beyond frizzy lol. I wish I could send a pic to show you. I tie down my hair and it comes off. I need help lol. I try to teach my mother but she doesn’t get or do it right
I'm a new subscriber & I absolutely LOVE your videos! Would you please mind sharing pics of your early loc days? Like the styles that you mentioned in this video? It would really help to have a visual of the styles that you're referring to. Thanks for the great content!
Hi Veronica! Unfortunately, my phone erased itself and I lost all my initial pics of the very beginning. I do have some of the later months in my 2 year journey video on my channel, and it has the styles that I was referring to!
It depends on hair health, genetics, hair texture, hair density, and nutrition practices along with lifestyle, health, and fitness. It could take 3 weeks to 2 years mature.
If you can remember, how many interlocks did you have to do for your hair bumps to look even? My shit looks like the rocky road of locs after 2 interlocks and I'm not trying to have this fluctuating loc look for mad time.
So i did loose braids as my starter locs but my hair gets so frizzy. Although i like the frizzy rough look, i want the neater look sometimes so how do i reducing the frizz when I'm palm rolling or is interlocking neater?
@@Braidlocs Girl, with my big- fingered, non-coordinated self, I'd be better off trying to use chopsticks on my hair. And I can't even eat food with chopsticks.
Sidenote: I literally clicked just to comment this but the color combo of your lips and hair against your skin is so mesmerizing 😍
💜💜
I did my braids yesterday... and it was stretched whew Chile I looked like a healthy crackhead
Idk why this was so funny to me😂 but I felt this in my soul #samehere 🤣

oops, sorry for the late reply! I have inly interlocked my hair since the beginning.
Yeah. My experience was very different too. Sooo easy. I just started my second set of braidlocs - quite a bit bigger. Gonna record this journey too.

Thanks for sharing your journey! You can use crochet hook to even out the locs, so you won´t see those bumps so much.
It my favorite locked queen. Gal u gojus

welcome!! some will come undone and you'll just have to redo them until they finally loc. Frizz is the middle name of locs, so embrace them!

You can also try using a 0.6mm crochet hook (without the latch) to loop in those frizzy parts. I will make a video showing how to soon.
@@Braidlocs Oh thank you that would be great.
Love ur dreads I got braid locs too but just alil thicker
This woman is SOOO hot it’s ridiculous. Sidenote, love the color. Can’t wait until I can dye mine like that.

How long did it take for the braid look to go away?
Man I woke up late smh but we want more make up tips sis!
I want to install my braidlocs in December. This video was really helpful! Did you have products in your hair before you installed them?
I had my leave in conditioner that I used for my loose natural hair. But I washed out my hair the next day after my install
Hey girl. Have u installed them yet ?
This was very informative. Thank you
You’re teeth are sooo white like omg I can’t even look at anything else! So beautiful 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Wow your locs are beautiful
I have braids in right now, how long would it take to lock up into dreads ?
It depends on hair health, genetics, hair texture, hair density, and nutrition practices along with lifestyle, health, and fitness. It could take 3 weeks to 2 years mature.

When you braided it down to start it, did you use products?
I washed, applied my leave in conditioners, and blow dried the hair. Then I braided it
Hi girl . Did u use the mirror ?Or u went by feeling your scalp ?
95% feeling of scalp. 5% looking at mirror for my edges and perimeter
Is there any other way to tighten besides interlocking ?
you can palm roll your hair as well. those are the 2 tightening options
So i did loose braids as my starter locs but my hair gets so frizzy. Although i like the frizzy rough look, i want the neater look sometimes so how do i reducing the frizz when I'm palm rolling or is interlocking neater?
Locksmithing and waiting for maturity
So this is the same as loc-stitching where you use those knitting needles tools to loop the hair on itself at the root?
I use a safety pin..

Does this work with lose curly hair
Why are you so beautiful
Are those Extensions and your hair
this is all my hair
💟
What are braid out?
you braid the locs, wait a day, unbraid them, and tada - curly locs
How do you tighten it?
interlocking
What the heck are braidlocs? 🗣
locs that are started with braids
