    I can slay every esport team on a 120p 60hz 100" tv and they can pick whatever setup. M&KB or controller it don't matter. I literally play ps5 M&KB on a 65" tcl 60hz tv and I hardly ever lose a match of any game. Might be because I've been playing online games since 1998 and actually started playing CoD online in 2005. It's really offensive when people say they're OG CoD players when they started on 1st MW2. But an OG started on the ps2/pc CoD 2 online or at least be a CoD 3 OG back when refresh rate was 60 and resolution was like 480p.

    This is a great video overview! When the PS5 first released, it was very picky with what monitors would let you enable high refresh rate. I think you needed an HDMI 2.1 monitor to get anything over 60 Hz at release. With the recent firmware updates that allow forcing 120 Hz and outputting 1440p, it seems like there are lots of great options for the PS5. Is it still picky *at all* about enabling high refresh rate and VRR? Or will *any* 1080p/1440p high refresh rate monitor let you enable 120hz? If it’s not picky, I can just shop it like I’m shopping for a PC monitor. Thank you for the content and cheers. Happy new year!

    • @FoxyYoutubeGamer
      @FoxyYoutubeGamer  Год назад +15

      Unless you are going to play at 4k at higher refresh rate, you won't need HDMI 2.1.
      Heres an explanation to HDMIs:
      HDMI 1.4 can do 1080p high refresh rate
      HDMI 2.0 can do 1080p 240hz, 1440p at 144hz and 4k at 60hz
      HDMI 2.1 can do all the above + 4k at 120hz

    • @FoxyYoutubeGamer
      @FoxyYoutubeGamer  Год назад +4

      @@Yaowza1227 hey, I really do not think a 2.1 HDMI monitor is worth it right now to be honest.
      2.0 HDMI already has enough bandwidth for both 4k 60hz and 1440p 144hz and 1080p 240hz. It is more than you need at the moment.
      I definitely think that as more technological advances are made, prices of HDMI 2.1 monitors will drop, and it would just mean that the monitor you will buy now for $500 will be selling for like $300 in the near future.
      So in conclusion, if you definitely could make use of a 4k high refresh rate right now, buy it. If not, 4k 60fps is still good, and 1440p 144hz is also splendid 👌🏼

    • @FoxyYoutubeGamer
      @FoxyYoutubeGamer  Год назад

      I mean, with COD you will want a monitor that is small and high quality and high refresh rate. So, a 23 inches 1080p 120hz monitor.
      With fifa, you would want a bigger monitor that is 4k.
      So you see, these are conflicting needs.
      I would recommed that you sacrifice the size of the monitor and not get a 27 inch monitor. Get a 23 inch since you play fifa and need the quality to be good and not have a pixilated experience.
