    Hello, your video is well-detailed. Could you please elaborate further on pursuing a Ph.D., particularly regarding funding opportunities, advantages, potential constraints on work, and the feasibility of bringing along family members while coming? my 19-year-old child with hearing and speech impairments can be considered a dependent?

    Nuel please if I followed properly from 6:30 , where you read note this document do not apply to r a worker...or researcher applying for a resident permit along side his or her own application, does the researcher here refer to a PhD student and does it mean the researcher can come same time with family if he or she wishes?
    Please

      There is a difference between a self-paid PhD student and a researcher who is employed by the University or a research organisation. It is someone employed to work in an approved research organization who, in some cases, will act like the sponsor, as your salary and benefits will be stated in the offer letter. So, in that case, it means an applicant for a residence permit as a highly qualified worker ("European Blue Card"), a transferred salaried worker or a researcher ( as explained) who is applying for a residence permit for their own can then apply for his family members along with their own. I hope that helps answer your question. You can click on the link below the video to read more. Regards. Nuel

      You must not confuse about applying for your student visa and applying to bring your dependents. The amount you stated is just for students who want to come and study in Luxembourg (Proof of fund). If you want to bring your dependents, there are other conditions that you must meet, including evidence or proof that you can take care of your family members, including health insurance for all the family and accommodation. Now I will advise you to read further about this by visiting the official website of the Immigration Directorate Luxembourg; you will find the link below this video. Also, and most importantly, you can contact the Immigration Directorate Luxembourg for more information and clarification. Unfortunately, I don't have the information on the exact amount you need when applying to bring your dependents, and in my channel, I deal with facts as I don't post what I have not researched, experienced, or verified, bearing in mind that policies and regulations can be updated and changed from time to time. @@engr.onyiixofficial2468 Usually, you will apply for temporary authorisation to stay before arriving in Luxembourg. When that is approved, you will have to go to the embassy that works with LUXEMBOURG in countries where they don't have embassies. For example, in Nigeria, you will go to the Belgium embassy for the VISA; at that point, they may capture your biometrics. However, the residence permit is usually issued when you arrive in the country. PLEASE also try and contact the appropriate authorities for VISA related inquiries and assistance. • @nuelonyedikaokpala
      @nuelonyedikaokpala  6 месяцев назад

      In my view, a Schengen visa is for visitors, while for the study, you need visa D, which you would get after you have obtained the temporary authorisation to stay. I dont think you are not allowed to change from a visitor visa to a student visa while in the country. My view is that you have to return to your country of origin and apply for the temporary authorisation to stay and then subsequently obtain your visa D. [ This is entirely my view]. For more information, please get in touch with the Immigrant Directorate Luxembourg.

However, please remember that you must show proof of funds for you and your family members, accommodation and health insurance for everyone, including you. Whether you want to apply before or after arrival depends on your present circumstances, and you will have to make that determination ( check the immigration site for more details, the link is below this video, it is a long read, though lol). Your primary purpose for travelling is to study, so make sure that is your priority. However, students are allowed to work while studying, also at the end of your study, you can apply for a work permit, and even if you do not have a job offer by the time you complete your studies, you will be given 9 months resident permit for the purpose of looking for a job, so yes at the end of your study you can apply for the work permit. NOTE: Obey the terms of your visa during your stay in the country. Watch the video below on working after your study.
