Hey bro....bro Richard here. This is so ridiculous that I'm leaving this message after this particular vid. Please say a prayer for me my friend. I am so screwed up. When I first was saved I came out of a very evil life...20 years old. For the first 2-3 years I was so full of joy! God was so good to me, and I enjoyed Him on a personal level ( time together etc) I believed I would serve God in whatever His calling was for me and I was overjoyed. However, since a young boy being exposed to many bad things, lust had a hold. After awhile of fighting flesh/spirit I began to yield to temptation and go out and commit immorality. It destroyed me. I tried everything I knew, but eventually the shame and guilt drove me further away. I ended up someplace I never thought possible....back in the world in deep sin for many years. God seemed so far away, and I couldn't understand how He could still forgive such a traitor as me. I returned to the Lord and left that darkness again. There was many years of struggles but God was good and restored my joy and assurance! Then, because of the evil I had chosen to do after I was saved I came under heavy attack that I'd gone too far and was destined for hell. Hearing some false teachers talk about it didn't help. So, I became terrified. Then, I ran to alcohol to relieve the terror and became an alcoholic. Believe it or not, I met a godly woman at that time and we were married in 2009 and were serving the Lord with a non profit ministry for homeless men, among many other ways God was able to use us to bless others and lead them to Christ. She died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2018. I lost everything and now am alone in a small town. No fellowship, no anything. I'm trying to draw closer to the Lord, but I'm just not able to overcome the weight of my failures, and I know my faith is weak. I really love all of you in this community we fellowship in, I truly do appreciate and love you. But being totally honest, I'm hurting so bad and have not even a person to talk to. Please pray God would meet me, and restore joy, peace and assurance....and possibly bring a friend my way. I'm sorry for putting this out there....I'm just as bad as any horrible sinner on the face of this earth. God have mercy on me and may I be found in Christ our Lord. 🙏🙏🙏💙💙💙

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh, so that you cannot do the things that you would. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law." Galatians 5:16-18 This happens every day. This war of the Spirit against the flesh.

Brother this may seem like a stupid question, but what worship are you listening to? Bro when I believed the gospel it shutdown EVERYTHING that I knew. That included the worship that they praised. I can't listen to ANYTHING that they sing. It makes me want to puke! If you can give me links it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks bro. edited....i feel so alone sometimes. I used to praise Him by theyre lyrics. I cry sometimes because i don't feel right listening to praise and worship from unbelievers. Thanks man. Cant wait to see you.
I listen to worship in english and spanish. Mostly Majo y Dan in spanish and John Mark Pantana in english. It's chill, relax music. I have a playlist in youtube music with worship music, I do not know if people can see my yt music playlists on youtube. Maybe if you send me an email or friend request on fb I can send you the playlist. I still listen to some old songs that I used to listen to when I had less discernment because I determined that the lyrics were ok. A lot of worship people are heretics, some saved, some unsaved. I would not feel condemned as long as the lyrics are Biblical and put the focus on God and not your flesh.
Similar. The safest music, I suppose, is Scripture set to music. As an elderly sister in Christ, I've been listening to all kinds of worship and praise music since 1983. I've heard error in the words of hymns, hundreds of years old, as well as today's supposedly Christian music. Relying on God's mercy, discernment, and the Bible. The Holy Spirit comforts and encourages us with His Word. He convicts us, but He never condemns us. God bless you.
