This is one of the most elegant pieces of engineering I've ever seen!
Reminded me a lot of Star Wars droids, especially Droïdekas when it rolls!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked my project!
Zenta I was in your website(Blog)... And don't see more about this awesome projects... I really need see more about it... is the most epic thing i ever seen! (Sorry for my bad english). Congratulations!
That's some half-life/portal stuff right here.
@Swan Crossing ruclips.net/video/JtMiofUCQhA/видео.html
Well they do take place in the same universe
Its fake
@@fadimuhammad so are portal and half life
@@heyitsfp sick editing btw
he's shaped like a friend
Thingum Bob his name implies he has no true shape
@@memedude8303 all of his shapes are friend shapes
Yes it true
you should see the one with the turret voice
@@reefy5316 i see it ok?
It's moves so smoothly it almost looks like it is alive
You think its not?
Now just make golf ball sized ones and program them to find the hole when they're too far off.
GOOD IDEA
That is the best idea for one of these robots. EVER. Like seriously, give those to people who aren't perfect and they'll love it!
So basically, practice golf balls
I wish this was available to buy. It’s one of the cleverest designs for a mobile robot. It’s also elegant looking.
Same
The persons who disliked probably don't realize how incredible this thing is
It's a crab droid!
Soos
@@Sparble сурс ?
Saas
Yes. But I think it's spider
its a ball droid
I think the future of robotics looks incredible.
Man ... that´s like seeing 30 years over the future, keep up with that good work, you are simply awesome
That high pitched whining sound will be the advent of our destruction.
Trypsykh I'd buy it to scare neighbors
oh god terminator aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa terminator aaaaaaaa holy shitttttttttttttt aaaaaaaaaaa terminator
the end is comming aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa oh mannnn aaaaaa end is coming aaa
I can easily imagine this design on missions to Mars and the Moon. Awesome stuff.
i love how each of your creations has slowly evovled over time. You can see how ideas have passed on from each "generation" to the next.
Not long til someone sticks some guns on it and ships it off to fight the Jedi.
Don't forget shield gens and up sizing

Finally a way to make soccer truly popular in the United States.
FOOTBAAAALLLL!
All that’s left is to add a a gun that extends out
This is amazing work and I can totally see this rolling around the surface of Mars. Especially if the "petals" were solar panels. If you added a small camera that revolved around the "equator" at the same speed that it rolled, the robot would be able to see where it is going.
+Chris Wilkinson would need solar panels capable of withstanding a lot of abrasion though
Probably the most awesome little guy I've ever seen.
The top half should contain a quadcopter
+drgutai1 do you mean like a heli pad basically cause that would be awesome
Reminds me of the big robot in Incredibles that rolls into a ball.
such a cute little guy! I cant imagine all the work that went into creating something like that
I know that what's being showcased here is the mobility, but all I can think of are ways to hide weapons in it.
I know its ten years but this is one of the most beaeutiful things i've ever seen!
Wahnsinn was Sie da auf die Beine gestellt haben ein Hammer Roboter! Respekt
the controlled rolling is very very impressive
Truly amazing! Thanks for sharing it with those of us who could NEVER come up with something like this on our own AND inspiring those who will build upon your ideas.
0:14 wow, it teleports. That's what I call advanced
i was impressed before i saw it roll around on flat ground.
genius!
THIS IS NOT THE DROID YOUR LOOKING FOR!
This is by far the coolest robot that somebody built by himself! I am truly impressed!
Zenta, if you are listening seven years later, this showed up on my youtube home.... I'm madly enthralled with all things robotic after 20 years in standard run of the mill IT (yawn) and as such, have been learning all I can about the field while feeling my way around in where I'd like to specialize. The MorpHex, amazing, simply amazing. Now I havae to find out, what you've been up to these last seven years. As below stated by Fracois Provost, lol, That's some serious half-life/portal stuff right there. I stand, in awe.
Your robots are awesome. Source for inspiration.
Thanks for showing us.
This would be perfect for if they ever make portal 3
I love the way it switches back to walking mode after spending some time as a ball. Never mind DARPA, a future generation of extraterrestrial exploration robots could well get around that way.
Dude this is legendary.
That's probably one of the coolest things I've seen.
1:08 I was hoping it was gonna do that! It looked so satisfying!
Also its strong!
Wow. This robot could be a bliss in disaster-areas. I can see this little bugger climb through the rubble of a huge building looking for survivors. So cool, and multi-mobility. Great work!
This robot is so adorable!
Very nice Zenta, as always..!
Wow, that must've been hell to program all of those servo movments and walk cycles
I am a 3d animator, which is a discipline of art, and one of the 12 principles of animation we must learn is... (this is real) ...Charm.
I see other robots doing impressive feats, but the robots themselves lack Charm. The Hexapod on the other hand is almost nothing but charm.
It's as gorgeous as it is technically impressive, and the fact that it has lots of charm makes me believe that (if pursued) it will go further as a commercial product than many other more advanced robots. How the hexapod can include more advanced features for usability is an interesting topic. It would be nice to give it a face for it to communicate, much like the robot in the movie "Ron’s Gone Wrong". Apart from being absolutely adorable, what can a future version of this robot be used for?
Looks great as always!
Looks more like a POKEMON.
Kabuto
It will freak me out if it came near me
Very cool tech, and so compact.
that robot look like having fun rolling
You cant imagine how much I love this little sphere guy :333
Awesome project!
That thing is wicked nice job.
Jokes aside this is the best idea for a robot, it can always get up no matter its position. Also has good mobility
insane !!! congratulations !!!!
Really amazing...the exploration can starts
Outstanding! Keep up the innovation!!
I like the way it walks.
this needs a film
Veldig stilig! Ser virkelig ut som noe fra en annen verden.
Coolest thing I've ever seen!
Awesome Work...!!!
Wow, good work!
Absolutely brilliant!!!!
Image this but way bigger and made of metal. Rolling over your enimies and stuff
Finally uploaded something new...
Still looks great.
Super cute and cool!
It has lotos form... very nice.
That dynamic + freaky
About the technical: Excellent and very imaginative engineering and handcraft, full of so many innovative ideas ! Sir, you have my deepest congratulations and respect !
About the video: It was such a good idea to include the kid in the video. Not only it gives us a sense of scale, but also it reminds us that this ..."thing" was made by a human, and not sent to us by a nasty alien !
Congratulations one more time, your work is really impressive.
What a mesmerizing robot soldier when it becomes autonomous and sentient.
Nicely done!
By the way, I am praying on the day we get quieter servos.
I absolutely love the fact it realizes what it needs to do to accomplish proper movement, unless it is controlled and not using some form of ai or programming as I have been led to believe. Voltorb for the end of the world!
SO MUCH GENIUS!
The best cereal bowl ever! Includes a Peeeeeeep to know when it s time to breakfast. Awesome.
Very impressive.
Amazing work!
Amazing :D
That is impressive. Awesome .
This is very creative
IT'S SO CUTE AND VERSATILE! :D
YOU ARE SO GENIUS
Wow!!!! Bravo :))))
Friggin' awesome!!
If this were the Mars rover it'd never get stuck anywhere. Very cool!!
Holy Shit. Man that is amazing work!
beautiful
It's beautiful
That is awesome! I want one!
My dog would go nuts for a ball like that.
Finally! They're building Droidekas, I've been waiting for this!
Everybody gangsta till the morphex start rollin
Pure art!
Excellent!
Should consider covering the outer shell with a rubber latex coat so it won't make that scratchy sound while its rolling around. Very cool design.
You got the morph ball!
It's so cool...and kinda cute.
Please upload a video explaining how it works, how you made it. This is insanely cool!!
Holy cow that's so cool
"We have them on the run, sir… They're no match for droidekas."
Wow! You are a genius! What a great design! I say: sent it to Mars!
That is all sorts of awesome
Increible, fantastico, genial!
I feel this has more of a therapy type role rather than military, I can't imagine kids not loving it, the way it can fold up into a sphere is rather cute, I can't imagine why this hasn't been picked up for a toy really...
+Joseph Neilson If you had a clue as to the manufacturing and parts cost on this, you would.. Ask the guy how much he has into it.. Unless you mean adult toys, then yeah $2000 (if not more) could be doable for a "toy".
maginficent thinking, truly innovating design
Amazing. Imagine if these things were common place. That could have a camera on it, and act as a mobile security device, or (assuming someone manages it) it could have a hologram projector, and could act as a moving displace piece...
Or it could have a bomb.
So cool! Want one!
