- This video present a minimally actuated continuous track robot. The track robot can change its shape while actuated using 2 motors only (3 motors in the current design). The robot can climb over obstacles and pass over objects without touching them.
the robot can be used for search and rescue applications, agriculture, pipe inspection, industrial maintenance and others.
Developed at the Bio-Inspired and Medical Robotics Lab. at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev by Tal Kislasi and David Zarrouk.
Appears on IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters.
With a flexible track it could even flex laterally to turn, would love to see that, keep it up !
"Don't mind me, I'm just taking my robo-tank centipede for a walk."
Very nice, but it cannot turn
Just need a second one.
А как твой робот управляется ? Просто я не понимаю как он чувствует что перед ним есть яма или препятствие )
This is the best climber I have ever seen !
But how it can change direction
Very cool! Open source? Would love to build one.
Zarrouk, do you have any updates on this design?
This is great, but what if it tips over? It's literally over.
Makes a charming little guy
how you trained the model ?
How does it lock the tracks into a shape?
To much free time, get a job.
That is very cool
Nice job :)
the best worm robot i have seen
Clear explanations
Can it turn?
Imagine a (20ft long) (8ft wide) one of these things coming at you like at 40mph, while alone in a open field
Can it curl up into a wheel?
🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
How the pallet stays in the air?
How it works?
Hello thank you for being beautiful thank you for being beautiful thank you for being wonderful I hope you have a great day the greatness in you is beautiful. Good night
Amazing Piece of work, well done !
Very nice!!!
Hey guys wassup why dont u apply this tech for space exploration seems legit
Reminds me of a caterpillar or worm
מרשים!
thixotic grease.beautiful sprung articulation. articulation with limits so force can be applied against. my robotwars tridentate was planned to self balance vertically .this form factor could do it like a double pendulum with guide wires. the loose chain would form a floor. interesting. length vs diameter , one that could curve up to a C could roll. Great work
How do you did to this stay flexive?
Very cool project!
Very impressive.
How very impressive
Left and Right?
This is a single track. If you add a second track then it will be possible to switch direction.
Well.. since you can lift the front and rear you might be able to add a servo or.motor in the front quarter and rear quarter. Then lift the front and angle sideways as it comes back down . Idk if the track would withstand the torque tho
Can it turn?
At least two treads are needed to turn, so no
Can it suck?
Centipede
turn
fuck this is amazing
smart pillar
sorry, what's name of the software use for 3d model analysis?
Matlab
can you buy it?
Wow too good.
Does it have any sensors to find out whats in front of it ? Or are you manually controlling which movement's next ?
no, this is just the design. not AI almost no sensors.
@@zarrouklab5678 Well, sounds like the next thing to do :)
Great project, it looks really cool and smooth
very nice!
Nice work !!!
I'm trying to design one of this with more ability, can i?
