Yes the lovely CFM56 on the A320-214. I also flew on a Philippine Airlines A321-231 RP-C9921 msn 6539 with IAE V2533-A5 engines and winglets Manila to Bohol October 2019.
I didn't think they would allow anyone near the airport with terrorism nowadays. I used to love to go see the planes at the airport in Houston, Texas take off but they blocked it off because of security measures. It is great that you can get so close and see them in the Philippines.
This is in butuan, one of the provinces in The Philippines. So it doesn’t have gates and are just domestic flights. The capital city, Manila, has the main airport. NAIA intl. There are electric gates, and sometimes brick walls, so that you cant even get close and take a little peek. Welcome to the Philippines 😅

Lol that was me, I read Phillipine Airlines in "Bhutan" and immediately clicked on it puzzled since, Bhutan does not allow foreign airlines to operate in their country. Only after the take off did I realise it was "Butuan" !!😅
