I love this so much but I didn't think of armor when I saw it, I thought of the old timey "wearing a barrel with suspenders as clothes" trope - works both ways!
"Is it cool?" Hell yeah it is! Great work on this. So much attention to detail all while still staying excited about the project - was great to see it all come together at the end!
That turned out so good! We definitely need a little Goblin best friend on the tower behind his back. He can be his adviser and double as an archer, plus he looks like he is being told jokes straight into those big ears.
A treant, a giant squig, and now a giant giant... Giving me more ideas of things i really need to make that i haven't yet but have pondered on longly. But more importantly, you show the tools& materials being used while building them. (Which, is surprisingly hard to find shown in videos.) Such jealousy!... and more ideas! ACK!
I love how much fun you're having with this! I'm doing a quasi scratch army of cat lady themed daemons and even though my army isn't competitve, turning an ogre into a 1950's cat lady housewife will never not be funny to me. Thanks for the inspiration!
@@NicheCrafts I just thought of something today that made me think of you, have you heard of 'unit fillers'? It's basically a mini diorama that you put in the middle of the unit to take the place of troops. So instead of 20 goblins, you could have about 12 and a unit filler in the middle that counts as the other eight. Just a thought, can't wait to see how the whole army looks when it's done!
This is the most ridiculous and crazy thing ever. I love it! That expression on his face is so goofy. He's out there living his best life and loving it.
This is SO GOOD, I love it. And I've been on a dungeon synth binge lately, so the music you chose just hits the spot. I would love to see some kind of Goblin herald, wearing one of those big livery things (maybe just a rug he's cut a hole in and put over like a poncho) and a trumpet, announcing the arrival of the High Wizard.
I am adoring your horde of goblins, trolls and grotesque gargantuan terrors but this one and its whimsically harrowing story are one of my favorites. I come back to your videos often and lately as writing inspiration because your soothing voice, music choices and detailed explanations of your creative process are extremely inspiring for my own! Please, keep making these demonic delights with appropriately fantastic stories behind them. I am already deeply immersed in the woeful tales of of Gobland!
I love when arists with experience mainly out side the hobby jump in. They always bring something fresh and amazing to it. Just like this! Really looking forward to the rest of the army!
You brought such creativity and personal touch to this project and video. This is absolutely awesome and I think it's criminal this doesn't have more views.
I envy your army. I do however, get a big hit of secondhand satisfaction by seeing that army fill up, and being with you along the way as you build it. So awesome!
Great work. As someone who has also customized and made a few models for the Grymkin Army in Warmachine. Being able to add your own creativity and ideas is very freeing and it helps that they are very Halloween and Grimm Fairy Tales themed.
Ye were gonna show his Pokemon Pancake Intake Service System?!? 😆😆😆 Excellent build!!! 😄 I love the concept of arising from within the tower! It fits so nicely in the rest of your world!!!
Three Ideas for Orcs: 1. A two-headed orc inspired by Two Bad from Masters of the Universe and Headbanger from Toxic Crusaders. 2. A dog-like orc inspired by Junkyard from Toxic Crusaders and Rahzar from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze. 3. A turtle-like orc inspired by Tokka from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze and Bowser from Super Mario Bros. Bonus Goblin Idea: A Ratfink-inspired Coffee Goblin who is very similar to (but also the exact opposite of) the Tea Goblin.
Yes its cool. Not dumb at all. LOVE it. Love it. Loveit, loveit, loveit. Every aspect of it. Also: you need two or three scout goblins crowding in the little turret behind the him. Like cleaner fish on a whale shark. Lordy, this is a good build. *Adding to favourites.* 👏 👏 👏 👏🎉
I had a similar idea with a giant wearing a wizard tower thinking he was a wizard casting spells but in fact it was the tower’s defense magics. Never really got around to doing it. But I LOVE seeing it come to life! Amazing job can’t wait to see more!
Oh this is the best one yet! You're really capturing the Whimsicle Yet Dangerous vibe you were going for in your introduction. That being said, I worry for your sanity when you start working on the basic goblin troops.
What a marvelous magician ! Gobpunzel is a great idea, although adding a goblin fishing for ennemies on top of the tower would also be quite good. After all, every great wizard needs an apprentice who's doing the cooking !
You're a madman for even doing the insides in such detail! Abosolutely amazing and worth it tho! I was building an ork stompa from scratch years ago, and I would NEVER have done the interiors like that. Being able to open up a big vehicle or building is so cool tho! The algorithm truly blessed me by showing this video today. Utterly brilliant. Spectacular even. I adore his goofy happy face and I would love to see you do Orks. As for a goblin rider? That little tower atop looks empty. Your friend already suggested the grappler Gobbo, but I think the grand high wizard needs a familiar, stood beside him on the little tower. A Gobbo forced to be dressed as a raven maybe?
Man, your trollhag and this video have made me so keen to sculpt both for myself. I had been looking for an action figure to use as the base, like I did when I turned a T-Rex toy I found into a Wyvern, but I really want to make something from scratch like this. Thanks heaps for the inspiration!
That face is amazing! So full of character. I also like the gobbo Rapunzel idea, but for some reason can't get the image of tower poop holes from my mind. You already have a winky window, why not one for a goblin butt?
Something I've found works really well for shingles is Eric's Hobby Workshop's technique of making shingles out of a big single piece which you cut at intervals until you have something resembling a hair comb, which you then layer over each other to create shingles. I've found it cuts down on the time and effort of making individual shingles and gluing them one by one
Its so good. So good. SO GOOD.
