My god, I love her so much! She has such a vibe and I love her colours, Niche! What a rad, horrifying lady she is. I really love it when you remind us to push forward and do the thing. I have so many projects trapped on the back burner because I'm too worried to just do them.
Create a goblin scientist with a brain so big that it can be seen through the head and if you can do it, make a separate construction, i.e. a robotic body, but if it's exaggerated, make the goblin directly inside the robotic body; and creates small animals transformed into monsters with his minions. I hope I gave you a good idea, and I hope this series never ends because I really like it
She's a beauty! Really love the colours, so vibrant, and those little details like the swirls on the nose. An absolutely gorgeous piece of work Niche. I'm really enjoying seeing people using oils on minis of late. Definitely going to try it when I decide on the right model. So good.
Thanks a lot! I do use oils but not this project! The start of what you see is contrast paint. I am for some reason avoiding painting fully with oils despite being a real life oil painter professionally lol
Woaw, the sculpting was already insane, but this paintjob is :chef-kiss: Regarding basecoating as a tedious part of the hobby, I know it can seem like a big investment, but for me, an airbrush (even a cheap one) definitely helped me make the most tedious parts of painting a breeze (and that’s especially true for big models !) It’s overall never mandatory, and won’t make you a better painter, but it’ll allow you to spend more time on the fun parts.
Throughout this video you're speaking too much sense, I've struggled a lot with exactly the kinds of things you're talking about. Practicing too much, but not daring to make mistakes too much, etc. It's inspirational to watch and listen to! I think the outcome is phenomenal. The right side of her face twisting into bark and a branch stands out to me in particular!
You blew my mind again! These sculpts are so good, I love it! The paintjob is top notch too if you'd ask me. Really makes me want to make a bigger sculpture again.
That turned out so awesome!!! 😍😍😍 The paint is beautiful, and the resin looks great! (You’re helping give me confidence for some resin I’ve been putting off…) 😆 Excellent work!!!
I did about as wrong as you can so you can definitely do it! For minor effects it’s very easy. It’s when you get into big giant ones that people start to get disaster I think.
I hate painting too and often leave my sculptures unpainted and when people see my stuff they say the same thing "oh you're still working on this piece!"
Checked my notifications....nothing new....Realised I hadn't seen a Niche Crafts video in a while, so searched your name in the search bar. New upload 30 mins ago. Notifications mean nothing. Thanks RUclips, you've failed me again... Also humbug, happy holidays!
@@NicheCraftsThere seems to be at least some balance in the universe cause it popped up in my notification feed :) Good job on the sculpt and painting, 1+1=3 in this case :)
This looks great! If you are open to tips and ever want to make a realistic rust texture to paint over I've found that the pencil shavings from an electric pencil sharpener mimic decaying metal perfectly.
this is sooo good. Could you detail how you painted the eye? I will definitly copy that! now if you ar anything like me you are going to second guess your other paintobs and repaint minis instead of moving forward
Worked up from orange to brighter yellows. Then painted a dark green circle for the iris, painted a lighter green on top of that but let the dark create an outline. Black pupil. White highlight. And lots of trial and error haha
beaaaautiful. Trish's Troll Hag is my all time favourite miniature and this is incredibly special
Thanks Trent. This one had some magic. Thanks for pushing me to do the resin pour
Best troll mini ever! I can really see your fine art painting style in this model
That means a lot !
You might just be the coolest person ever
Haha 😎
The face is so great !! The details and the paintjob are absolute gold !!
Thanks :)
Dude!!! That sculpt is amazing! Absolutely beautiful miniature and base. Thank you so much for participating and spreading the word 🙏 💛
❤️ of course friend!
The base is fantastic and the mini is amazing, so much detail! I love that it's removable and magnetized. This project rules!
Thanks J! Appreciate you
My SO walked into the room while the intro was playing and the concern on their face was priceless 😂
That’s what I’m talking about!
Really beautiful work, great paint scheme!
Thanks !

Yes we have same brain.
Love the color choices! Turned out awesome!!!
Thanks Aaron! Now I just need to get as fast as you and I’ll be unstoppable!
@NicheCrafts heck yeah!!! 🤣 We should do i build off one week next year. Put that to the test 👍
SO cool! The end result is beautiful, very nice work :)
Thanks!

Turned out so cool! I am looking respectfully 👀haha
I want you to look disrespectfully
Great job! Really inspiring :)
Good! Love that
definitely agreed on basecoating haha Powering thru to the next (more fun) steps definitely is the move!
I may need to invest in an airbrush to get through it faster
Oh, I dig this so much!
Awesome!

Yeah I think I have to.
Stunning tribute to Trish's original. I love how much you managed to get in there and the paint job is perfect
Thanks!

Love to hear that! I’ve never been disappointed in a project I’ve made but I’ve definitely been disappointed that I didn’t make something!
Top work!
Thanks!!
Love your work! Keep up the great work brother!👏👏👏
Thanks !

Thanks Arjan! I want to see you make more big stuff!
OMG the process was very nice but the result is GORGEOUSSS!!!
Really inspiring to try new stuff in my work, awesome art mate
Thanks a lot!
In under one minute after posting, babyyyyyy!
Classic Vix. Always quick to see things and respond.
Mossy Glodge.
Indeed
Impressive work :)
Thanks a lot!
Looks amazing to me. I can't see where you are bad at painting. Keep going, can't wait to see more.
I’ve gotten a lot better but it’s all perspective. Appreciate it!!

You really need to get her cast and for sale - you'd make a fortune!
One day !

I’ve struggled with colour my whole life. But when I add it people respond to it. Gotta finish pieces I guess.
looks hella ^w^

Base coating is the worst. This is why I use an airbrush.
Yeah that’s the general consensus haha
Yaaayyyy
Woo!
