    I have been machining aircraft parts for 34 years and have done major assembly and as rigid as a wing assembly is it is limber as a dish rag... If you didn't have this flexibility an aircraft would break itself apart. It is amazing an aircraft can fly for extended periods to all points of the globe and stay together with it's engines screaming at almost full throttle. Engine mounts are massive but yet if you notice there is still movement in the outboard engine.

    Curious. The leading edges retracted after exiting the runway and then deployed again. Not seen that before.

    That landing was pretty hard

      I've landed (as a passenger, not a pilot) a jillion times in Denver and I don't recall a landing that wasn't hard, no matter what aircraft I was on - mostly MD80s. Must have something to do with the 5200 feet altitude.

      @@cll1639 I had a recent flight to Sacramento one foggy night recently. The landing was so smooth, I thought we were still airborne. All I saw was fog rushing by. The pilot said "Welcome to Sacramento." I had no idea we landed.

      Yeah, the flare was pretty late. The descent rate was just about to reduce and already touched down.
      Apparently you have to flare really early on this plane, cuz it's quite unresponsive. Instead of 30 or 20 call out, you had to do it on 50 call out.

      @@cll1639 I don't think that's the reason. Johannesburg is at pretty the same altitude as Denver and I've seen some very smooth landings here.

    Good quality sound and video means this vid was a pleasure to watch, so thanks. And while watching, from about 3'52 in I noticed lots of circular/semi-circular fields in various stages of cultivation. I mean, circular fields? I've not seen any in Europe, where they are mostly square/rectangular, so could anyone tell me why this circular format was chosen please?
    Many thanks in advance and have a good day.

    If you like a plane with 4 hair dryers instead of engines.

    • @Odontomango
      @Odontomango Год назад +1

      This is the 600 version. The "Hair dryers" or the "5 APU(s) plane" is the 300 only.
      500 and 600 engines are very powerful.
