Vinyl Bootlegs - in this episode I take a look at some unofficial releases that I've acquired over the years. Some are good, some are not. All are interesting. #vinylcommunity
My favorite vinyl bootleg I have is the full six volume The Beatles "Ultra Rare Trax" set on colored vinyl. These are later pressings, with full color covers. These were mind-blowing in the early '90's. Before the "Anthology" CD series. I also got the first four "Ultra Rare Trax" CD's. Again, the later re-pressings.
I have pretty much abandoned buying bootlegs, with some exceptions. I find them fascinating, but I have been disappointed a few times though I am always tempted. They also tend to be pricey. The errors on the records would make me laugh because many times they couldn't even get the songs titles right. I have a few that just have a paper insert with a generic white cover. I think they could have done better.
Have you not picked up some of the Oasis bootlegs which has came out in the last few years? So many quality ones, like Budokan 98, Manchester 96 and Earls Court 95.

Nice! I never was able to find those back in the day.
Can’t remember a time when “unofficial European imports” were so readily available in indie stores.
Right! Pretty common these days.
Quite a collection, very cool Buckingham Nicks
Thanks Sam
Super cool Rob. Those Mac ones look interesting
All three of them are really good.
Lots of modern bootlegs are very good. Sometimes better than the official releases.
Yes lots of great stuff these days. Many of the boots I have from the 90’s are crap.

All good points Brian. Ive been let down by some too and others were great. I find the newer ones are much better but its still a roll of the dice.
