A small peek at rehearsals for the forthcoming Accententus documentary on Beethoven around the world featuring Umculo's Beethoven programme in Cape Town. Siyabonga Maqungo sings with Erik Dippenaar, who plays a newly-restored Broadwood fortepiano; Kobie van Rensburg directs a staging for which he has devised projections and graphics, and Christine Bam's Voce Armonice choir participates. The full documentary will be broadcast across Europe on Easter Sunday 2020 on Arte TV.
