Christine Taylor who played his love interest in this movie is also his wife and they are still married today, so yes he had his parents and his wife acting with him as well as a bunch of his friends, they probably had more fun off camera than they did on camera
Maury was played by Jerry Stiller, Ben's father. The protester at the beginning who threw the egg at Mugatu was played by Anne Meara, Ben Stiller's mother. Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara were a very successful comedy double act from the 60s to the 80s, billed as "Stiller and Meara." Jerry Stiller also played Frank Costanza, George Costanza's father, on _Seinfeld._
Anne also played the employment office lady who got Ben his security job in Midnight at the Museum. Also, The X Files’ David Duchovny played the crazy conspiracy guy with his hand in the protective glass enclosure.
@@mikethemotormouth Oh, I remember that 🙂 I love the theme music from TP. Gee, that was a while ago now! Good memory, old bean. I have the box set of X-File. It's been seen so many times. "For a second there I thought someone was going to read our you google -ee". He was trying to say "eulogy". The kind of speech you give at a funeral in memory of someone's life.
Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are also in The Royal Tenenbaums and Meet the Parents together. Owen's brother Luke (Old School, Idiocracy) is also in The Royal Tenenbaums, which is an amazing movie.
The actor who played Derek Zoolander's Father 'Jon Voight', also played Jim Phelps in the first "Mission Impossible" film, he is also Angelina Jolie's Father.
The actor playing his agent (who was the sad in King of Queens) is Ben's father Jerry. The older woman protestor who appears several times is Anne Meara, Ben's mother.
Glad you watched that. I remember laughing harder than I ever have in my life when he said the model center wasn’t big enough! 😂 I was not expecting that but you called it!
The line where Zoolander asks, "Why male models?" forcing Duchovny to repeat what he said is because Stiller forgot the next line and just ad-libbed it.
Hello Dawn Marie!😊 Jon Voight is the real life father of Angelina Jolie, and he appeared in her "Tomb Raider" film. He was also in the "National Treasure" film. The hand model guy is David Duchovny from the "X-Files" TV show. Milla Jovovich's last name is pronounced like Yovovich with a Y sound in the beginning, as it is a Ukrainian name. There is one more Stiller in this film. Ben Stiller's sister Amy Stiller appears as a member of Hansel's posse. His father also appeared in the TV series "Seinfeld" as George's father. Great reactions to this fun Ben Stiller film, Dawn!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yeah, this movie is rather chaotic. Especially the "turn left" bit. And I love how you pronounced 'Milla Jovovich'! Owen Wilson's very good in 'Midnight in Paris'. Definitely worth watching.
The Guy from King of Queens who played Derick's Agent is real-life Ben Stiller's Dad , Jerry Stiller also plays the father of Geroge in Sinefield and Ben's actual Wife is the Blonde female lead. Ben's real-life Mother is the woman who was protesting and threw the material at will Farrell's character.
19:40 THAT'S MY BUDDY Godfrey!! I did host/opening comic when he would come to our local club for weekends the last 10 years. Hilarious dude. Impressions are always on point. His Steve Harvey went viral a few years back.
The dad from King of Queens is Jerry Stiller. The red haired woman who trew the paint was Ann Meara. Stiller & Meara was a famous comedy team and Ben's parents
Something I didnt saw mentioned yet: The repeating of "But why male models?" was not in the script, and the reaction of David was made up on the fly, but it was so good, they left it in the movie.
Zoolander's agent was played by his real life father. You would have seen him in, "King Of Queens" & "Seinfeld". And the woman protester that threw an egg is Ben real life mother. ✌️❤️🌹
Jon Voight - ANACONDA!!!! Lol. That's maybe the best movie ever. I spent a month living in the Amazon rainforest in Peru just off the border of Bolivia. One night a guy went to town and downloaded some movies onto his phone. We all watched them and Anaconda was one of them. There's nothing more hilarious than watching Anaconda in a place where they regularly catch Anacondas and play with them just because they're cool to have around. They're just big boas. They're cute. The crotch fish is real by the way, and just like he said, "You havta cut it out." For all you theists out there, what was God thinking with that one? "For the greater good I shall create a fish which will lodge itself in people's urethras. And I saw that it was good."
"That's the same look!" Oh Dawn, you fashion novice. Don't worry, still love you! Will you do Blades of Glory as well?? Thanks for uploading! Greetings from Sweden
Blades of glory is such an underrated gem. It's not quite as good as this or Dodgeball but it's damned close. They hit the nostalgia for eighties sports movies a little too hard to appeal to the younger crowd but still a solid effort.
2:50 -- RE: "What's that Look called again...?"; A: And then you remembered the Gag because *Hey presto!* Stiller's actually got some serious Meta chops when he puts his mind to it. You couldn't see how Magnum was different from Blue Steel, and you also didn't notice when Derek turned left. Those issues are linked! For the "Magnum" look, Derek turns from right to left before ending on his typical face instead of from left to right! (Watch closely at 22:56.)
Dawn, Dawn, Dawn, you might get the dad's mixed up because King of Queens was a spin off of Everybody Loves Raymond. Also, Murray Ballstein is Ben Stiller's dad, Jerry Stiller.
You should try to find The Ben Stiller Show if you can. It is from 1991 or 1992 and stars Andy Dick, Bob Odenkirk, and Janeane Garofalo. It only lasted 1 season, but it is a really good sketch comedy show. Stiller does lots of characters and impersonations.
You don't buy expensive clothes. Smart woman, they have insane mark ups on the designer clothes, they don't cost any more to produce than non-designer clothes.
The Dad from King of Queens is actually Ben Stiller's actual father. The Lady who throws the egg at Will Ferrell is his mother. It's a family movie!
And his sister Amy Stiller is one of the posse at Hansel's loft
Jerry Stiller was also George Constanza’s father in SEINFELD
In the outro when she brought him up I thought she was going to get there, but no, just the confusion with Peter Boyle.
Christine Taylor who played his love interest in this movie is also his wife and they are still married today, so yes he had his parents and his wife acting with him as well as a bunch of his friends, they probably had more fun off camera than they did on camera

Nobody's impressed.
Ann Meara was the egg throwing protester. This movie was quite a family project.

I think she meant to see if Hansel cheated. He could have put a loose pair in his pants to pretend he pulled off.
I love the whole "but why male models?
Are you serious i just explained it to you"
Was because Ben forgot his line and David was able to role with it
"For a second there I thought someone was going to read our you google -ee".
He was trying to say "eulogy". The kind of speech you give at a funeral in memory of someone's life.
I love Stiller and Wilson in Starsky and Hutch. It's a remake of a 70s TV cop show. I find it hilarious...
At least somebody did.
Yeah if you are an idiot
There's a famous art house director named Terrance Malick. He's famous for slow pondering shots of natural beauty. This is his favorite movie.

Owen and Luke are also both in Bottle Rocket, Wes Anderson (Royal Tenenbaums) debut film
Give Derek some credit for immediately realizing that fire and gasoline are a dangerous combination. His now-dead roommates apparently had no clue.
14:37 David Duchovny played Fox Mulder, a conspiracy theorist and FBI Agent in The X-Files, a 1990s science fiction-supernatural television series.

Something I didnt saw mentioned yet: The repeating of "But why male models?" was not in the script, and the reaction of David was made up on the fly, but it was so good, they left it in the movie.
It happened because Ben Stiller forgot his next line. And I'm certain that what ended up in the film was funnier that whatever that line was.
He does 3/4s of a right turn instead of a left. It's like those people that go around the block so they don't have to do a left turn.
