In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Mike be careful with mattresses in the trash. Bed bugs are on the rise and they can hitch a ride on you.

Yes ma'am. You definitely want to be careful especially with the summer 🌞🌞 months coming and bugs will be everywhere and infesting everything. Please be careful Mike and keep finding those scraps of metal !
You should film plugging in the tv’s. I think we are all curious if you ever find one that works perfectly. Sometimes the tv just needs to be reset and sometimes people just throw them away because they got a new one
Handling them without throwing them around so much may increase the chances they actually are ok when testing them. I agree, should be interesting to see a scrap TVs test video , and also interesting to here were they are ending up .

Wondercide, good for fleas, ticks, mosquitos. Smells like cedar oil is first ingredient. I spray on counter cuz of the ants. Works great on my dogs, and counters. Ordered on line
Anti rabbit tip that truly works. Save your first of the morning pee in a jug and then put into a sprayer and spray around the base of the bushes. Two benefits. One is the most obvious. Rabbits do not like eating or going near anything that is "marked" by a predator. They are sure that if one predator marked that spot, another one will come by to "over mark" it and they do not want to be a snack for that territory marking predator. The second benefit is that pee is loaded with nitrogen and will make the bush grow bigger/healthier.

I did jury service in the UK, and I didn't know that the court houses here don't have public carparks, On the first day I followed the judge into their private car park while the barrier was up. Then quickly got turned around. Luckily, the public car parks in town were in the process of changing to a different operating company, so the payment machines weren't working that week. Apparently, UK Government buildings are exempt from planning regulations, so they often don't even have onsite parking for their employees.

Sorry to hear about the bunnies eating the flowers, if you mix up some hot sauce diluted a little with water and spray the flowers. They will stay off, works for squirrels they would eat my hibiscus flowers. Good luck

How about squirrels
Try mixing dishwasher soap (like d*wn) with some cayenne powder, and smear it on the plants. It works for deer, so it'll probably work for rabbits.
I use cayenne pepper.

Sprinkle cayenne hot pepper flakes on it, the problem is, every time it rains you have to reapply.
I have heard from IT people that the coax have got a very fine twine that they use to make cops safety jackets? Maybe you can sell it or use it?
Hey Mike, remember that broken turntable you found a couple episodes ago? Dude, that can be worth serious $, I googled it and they go for $1,000 or more.
Get a bag of human hair from a local salon and sprinkle around the plants to keep rabbits away, it works. Good Luck

Good evening Mike, this is where the night started.

Every tv I ever grabbed when I was working as a trash collector all of them worked perfectly & I was able to sell them all just as well as all the laptops I found too and I found tons of them people would always leave that kind of stuff on the top of the trash can on top of everything else so when I flipped the lid open to toss it in the garbage truck it would right there then I would toss it in the front
Hay Mike to keep Rabbit's away.. Here is some helpful tips.. dried sulfur and onions Rabbit's don't like the smell and talcum powder... If you try 2 of these things it can help keep Rabbit's away from anything you don't want them near.. I hope this helps and there is other ways just Google it and there is lots of helpful tips

Yes spools are good to store kabels hoses rope etc. On Was thinking the same.
There should be a scrapper network ,so people could make requests for stuff they are looking for. if those things are found by someone else that dont , have use for them, the materials could be redistributed to the ones that are locking for it. If there are metal values or other value in the materials the finder should get some money for it of course.

You are one one the few scrappers that isn’t afraid to get a little dirty.

Hey Mike, here in the UK donated clothing so long as it's clean but deemed not resalable the charity shop can claim cloth weight rags. Do you have that over there?
Yes we have that. When I drove semi locally use to make pick-ups at a place that washed and cut up clothing. Them bundled the rags in 2K lb bundles.

The Motorola things you found are microphones for talking over a voice transmit enabled pager system, we used to use them in the fire service.

Nice load of scrap! Same thing happened to me on jury duty, years ago. The jury was selected after some grilling. When we returned to the court, the following morning to start the trial, they had made a deal. We were excused, jury duty served.

Hey Mike to keep rodents like rabbits and squirrels away from your garden peppermint oil on a few of cotton works wonders rodents are allergic to peppermint oil but you have to get the real stuff from a health food store
Or a life size Elmer Fudd cut out.
