Can confirm Pro Action Adjustable struts and shocks are well worth the money! Especially if you even slightly enjoy going around twisty roads. They take the car to the next level!
Yeah I’m reading these comments and I also got a little confused because on the website the proaction seemed for street use and the proactive seemed good for every type of use.
If only I could get someone from steeda customer service competent enough to properly assist without asking “did you watch the videos online?”, maybe I’d spend some of my hard earned $$$ with them. If I had all my concerns answered with a short video, I wouldn’t be calling….
Wow didn't know the Pro Active shocks and struts weren't meant to be paired with your progressive lowering springs. I have like 30k miles on that setup, would you suggest to swap over to the Pro Action shocks and struts at some point?
Only if you’re craving more damping when you’re pushing the car. The Pro-Active and Progressive combo works well for a mostly street application. But if you find yourself wanting more damping when you push the car on backroads or autocross/HPDE, then you may want to upgrade. Hope this helps! -Chris
@@dbarr8261 I just do street driving. There’s definitely more damping than stock. Ride is a bit more firm and definitely more harsh over bumps. I had wheel spacers on for the longest time and they did exaggerate the feelings, especially over bumps. Personally I drive it too much to want more damping but I definitely do see the limitations in the setup for autocross or track use.
@steeda I have a quick question about my current project. I want my 2018 Mustang GT PP1 to handle like or close to a GT350. The catch though is I want the car to have a 2 inch drop and will be on 20x10 / 20x11 wheel package. As little NVH as possible
Would proactives be a bad pair with Eibach sportlines (1.5in drop) I am more of a street driver, but like to carve back roads. If comfort is something that’s important, should I go with the proactives?
Hi Chris. I currently have every suspension mod steeda offers for the IRS and bracing for the k-member. I'm running your progressive Springs with the stock pp1 struts. I just purchased your proactive struts and was wondering if it would help my 0 to 60 times/ 1/4 mile times? Also the wife was hoping it might make the car ride more comfortable lol.
Hi there - Those shocks will definitely make the ride more comfortable. We haven't tested 0-60 or 1/4 mile times with that specific combo quite yet, but the extra control on the springs should theoretically help your 0-60. Let us know what you think once they're installed! -Chris
@@steedaautosports Hi Chris, I installed the steeda proactive struts/steeda bump stops to complement my progressive springs a couple of weeks ago. Wanted to give you a follow-up on how they handle and 0 to 60 times for you and future customers. The ride quality is simply amazing compared to the stock PP1 setup and my 0 to 60 has improved as well. Using the Dragy timer before I consistently ran 4.1 on regular street tires to a 3.9 I haven't had a chance to test 1/4 mile times yet but assuming it has improved as well. I'm really impressed on how my car handles tight turns and how hard it squats when drag racing. It's the best of both worlds.
I really like this combo and huge difference compared to the stock performance pack struts and springs. I have around 6,000 miles on this setup and it seems to handle even better. One thing I've noticed is at first my car seemed to make my car transfer and hook really good compared to stock. Now it seems to have stiffened up a bit and doesn't transfer as well. Change of subject I do also recommend steeda 's trident rims. I went with 19 x 10s square and I and loss 14lbs of unsprung weight each corner. Made the car alot more responsive with handling, braking and acceleration.
@@user-bk5ey9ws5g thank you for the info! Is there any reason why you didn’t go with there proaction non adjustable shocks and struts compared to the proactive you have? Also how is the ride quality on your proactive?
Hi I am wanting to eventually get into road course track racing. I have a 2021 GT 6 speed manual w/ .373 gears with the performance pack. Which setup would be best for comfort and performance. I will not be drag racing just for handling and comfort. Thanks for all the information.
You mention comfort so I assume you are still driving on the street quite a bit. If the road course is more of a "once or twice a year" I'd go with Non-Adjustable Pro-Actions & a set of Sport Progressive springs. It it's more than that I'd go with the Adjustable Pro-Action & a set of Dual Rates. The latter option is still plenty comfortable on the street but more handling focused.
Does my shocks and struts need that black piece on top of the silver tip, because mine didn’t come with it and i order it for my 2024 mustang gt and it never came with that black cap
I am currently having the pro active shocks installed with progressive lowering spring as per the recommendations by your salesperson. Did I need to get a different shock because now I’m watching your video and I’m understanding differently?
@@MrAdrian13 it’s great it truly transformed the car. It feels like is on rails. It’s comfortable but it’s not a Cadillac. Because of the low profile tires. You get some chatter over sharp bumps. Is a very comfortable race inspired high performance street suspension
If you want adjustability, pick up the Adjustable Pro-Action. If you want to set it and forget it, Non-Adj Pro-Action! You can find both on our website!
Are the pro-action too firm for bumpy roads? I like spirited driving and I really get a mix of good roads with twisties but also few harsh, uneven roads. Can’t decide between pro-active or pro-action.
I run the Steeda progressive springs with the Ford Performance Track Shock and Strut Kit and it all works great together.
I have the pro-action adjustable shocks and struts paired with the dual rates and oh boy it's the best set up in my opinion
I currently have the progressive springs on my s650, just talked to your sales guy Rodney and he hooked it up with some pro actives. Cant wait
