A win is a win. Got complacent up 28-0 late before half. Stats don’t lie, this was a whooping. Michigan walked down the field after Illinois made it a 3 point game. No turnovers = < 25 points allowed

Michigan beat all the "I"'s in the Big Ten last year Illinois, Iowa, and of course Indiana. These wins summarize UM's struggles against OSU "I, I, I, I, I."

Patterson threw about 3 good balls all game and only made about 2-3 good reads on the defensive coverage. That isn't enough against good teams. Could be a long game Saturday

Illinois was a decent team, I don't think the Wisconsin game was as much of a fluke as many make out to be. USC Georgia was the upset of the year imo.

But we ran all over Illinois and we weren’t a dominant running team this year. Wisconsin really shit the bed and let Illinois back in it like we did, but then they forced themselves to pass and turned it over. I thought Wisconsin was going to have 450 yards rushing on these guys.

SCAR was 6 points less of an underdog than Illinois was lol, although yeah tbf that might have been calculated by assuming this was a fluke... Still tho, a #3 UGA vs a meh-decent SCAR team is less of a gap than between a #6 Wisky and a shitty Illinois team, cause don’t forget the EMU and Nebraska games lol

Heres what ive learned from after the near comeback to now. If you want shea to gain confidence, then show you(Coach Gattis) have confidence in him running the ball like he did on the 4 and 2. Whether it’s designed for him to run or actual read options, not the fake read crap we’ve seen all year where shea can run for 20+ yards easily but its just a handoff into the wall, because after that he was confident enough to throw the deep routes(without short arming it) and looked more decisive

After watching this tale of three games at a friend's house, I drove home and put Msu's game on the radio (they were getting smoked by Wisconsin and lost 38-0 or something like that). At the half George Blaha ran through scores in the Big Ten and Top 25. Here was pretty much what he said about this game: 'The Wolverines went down in Champaign Illinois today. After falling behind early, the Illini stormed back with FOUR consecutive scores against Michigan. 42-25 the final there.' Anyone who didn't see the game or know the score would've thought that Michigan had lost this game! I can imagine a bunch of spiteful spartan fans hearing this and talking smack to Michigan fans without knowing that it was Michigan who ended up winning.

No matter what we think of our team right now... Next week is their last chance. We will either see them swim or sink.

After watching all the games this year, I think the new spread, speed in space, up-tempo offense was Fake News.

@Thunder/Lions/Michigan Fan - I’m a Michigan fan too and I’m glad to see they’re figuring the offense out. But it’s not the offense that was sold to us and Michigan will probably come in 5th or 6th place in the Big10 again. I grew up in Michigan and will always be a huge Michigan fan but I moved to Utah for college and got to see undefeated seasons and Utah kicking #2 Alabama’s ass in a bowl game. Urban Meyer was here and only for a couple of years before he went to Florida and then Ohio State. Love him or hate him, he knows the difference, and he’s saying, that Michigan’s, offense is not the speed in space, spread, misdirection, up tempo offense that they have been touting. RichRod’s offense was and it was prolific and broke all Michigan records, but unfortunately, their defense sucked during that time. Michigan fans hated the offense averaging 45 points per game I guess, because it just wasn’t Michigan football so they ran RichRod out on a rail before he could find a great D-Coordinator. Looks like 5th-6th in the Big10 is becoming just fine with Michigan fans. That’s sad.

19:16 4th and 2. Watch how wide open it is for Shea to keep it and he hands it off. This play explains all the offensive struggles to this point. He makes bad decisions in an offense designed for him. Haskins didn't do himself any favors by running straight into the line. Should have taken it outside which is the way the line had it blocked anyway. I just think shea is struggling to make reads to make the offense successful. His arm strength is bad too. Penn State will kill us. I am not excited about the rest of the season at all. I bet he keeps patterson in the entire game no matter how much he struggles Saturday. Harbaugh must have caught mccaffrey sleeping with his wife or something. Concussions don't last this long.

3rd quarter was a mess. We've got to hang on to the damn ball. This would kept Illini at 7. We cant do that against any teams, especially not the next 2 games. We have got to polish our offense or the Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Michigan State games will be a beat down.

Michigan should have gone for the throat in the first half. Instead they gave Illinois confidence. No excuse for that third quarter. Fourth quarter we saw a good Michigan team on both sides. Gonna need that effort at Penn State or Michigan will get beaten badly. So far this season I've seen nothing to indicate that Michigan will even keep it close against Penn State. That is sad.

Y'all crying but Georgia loss to SC...smh it aint always gonna be what u expect or what should happen. Illinois is in scholarship too n they showed a lot of heart n then Michigan woke up n out em back in their place. If it was 28-0 final score, y'all would still complain saying" They should've put up 60 points" stfu they won and they're 5-1 and still have the season ahead of them... Be positive and support or just step the fuck off #Goblue

Michigan has fumbled 18X in six games. That is COACHING - period! This was an Illinois team that should have been shut-out, and will be shut-out by better teams. I love Michigan, but this isn't Michigan football. In fact, the only football being played at the college level in Michigan is in Kalamazoo.... not in Ann Arbor or East Lansing. Both Michigan and MSU are probably facing 4-5 loss seasons. WMU is 4-3, with two losses against MSU in Spartan Stadium and in Syracuse, and a close loss in Toledo. They are odds-on favorites to win the MAC, and - if so - will be the only Michigan team to win anything substantive this season. Michigan's defense might steal a victory against PSU and MSU, but will not get beyond ND or OSU. MSU is reeling, and might not win another game until Rutgers.
