@@joshoverbeek325 I'm still loyal. Conflicted, but loyal. After they backed out of The Game, I swore I was done. I was so disheartened by such cowardice, and using the pandemic as a cop-out. Told my wife, "That's it. I've stuck with them all of these years of disappointment, but I can't support a quitter". Fast forward to the first game of the '21 season; I'd occasionally switch over to see how things were looking. "I thought you were done with Michigan?", my wife asked with a coy grin. I heaved a deep sigh; "If I quit being loyal, I'm no better than they are". So, yes, I am still loyal out of spite. Hopefully, they've turned the corner, but only a National Championship win will make my loyalty pure. Don't get me wrong, I still make a ruckus when they're playing. Except for The Game. I haven't watched it Live for the last two years. Bit of a boycott, bit of superstition after the first win.
That's the worst game I've seen from the secondary on penalties since DB took over. Otherwise the game would have been more of a blowout. I'm just worried about the OL after seeing how much SP had to roll out and create.
Went to the game and you could tell that the offense is calling plays that are very vanilla. But with that said, the offensive line still played very soft, they're mindset just looks like they don;t have that killer instinct, especially with their hands. Pass pro did look much better than previous weeks but who knows if that is due to the level of comp. Two things that I do not like going into B1G play. 1. Our safeties cannot cover. Yes Metellus had the pick 6, but he got abused in coverage all game as did all our safeties. Good teams will spread us out and attack Hawkins, Kinnel and Metellus all game 2. I hate, yes hate our passing game design. Every pass play takes 4+ seconds to develop. We run zero RB screens and zero WR quick slants. A staple of any successful offense. I am growing more and more disappointed in Pep Hamilton's design of our passing offense. He really was not very good in the NFL at Indy and has not improved UM's offense. Our offense has taken serious steps back ever since he arrived. Jedd Fisch has our O rolling. Our quickest pass play is this fricken WR screen that nets 1-2 yards every time for the last 2+ years now.
SMU kept on getting their star wide receiver matched up against our safeties and it was maddening. I don't understand how Don Brown kept letting that happen.
We have WR touchdowns in two games than we did all last season and have scored 40+ points in back to back games when we didn't do it once last year. And shea just put up the best numbers of the season. But the offense is regressing?
@clock9596 Yea, I've been roots for long time and watched the games. They're really good players. All players need to wake up and play rite. I'm not appreciate the Wolverines lost by Fighting Irish.
@clock9596 I don't hate them. I just dislike them. From what I understand that MSU were good teams and I can't lie. Yea sometimes I back stamped on MSU. Lol.... As long as they're State of Michigan. I don't care about C.of M. and others. Because my blood belongs to the Wolverines. Guess where I'm from? I'm originally from NYC and now I'm in Florida. I don't roots anything from Florida. Thanks Brother for your time. Ciao
You have Shea Patterson at the helm, with DPJ, Collins, Martin, Perry, Gentry, Eubanks and soon to be Black to throw to and we insist on having no pace to our offense so we can keep running pull plays with 370 lb Michael Onwenu blocking for lead footed Chris Evans. Sigh. Start running some bunch sets and keep using play action with 12 personnel protection. Basically just run what the LA Rams do. We're not dominant up front. We do not have Leonard Fournette in the backfield. Build around what works. Come out against Nebraska looking like you actually prepped and game planned all week instead of trudging around for a half.
And Cesar Ruiz really is trash. Spend some time watching him on a few plays. He literally misses his assignment a third of the time and when he does make contact he is always pushed back and knocked down. The guy is weak and too often has no fucking clue who he's supposed to block.
Who else is here to try and keep their loyalty alive!?
Hope you stayed loyal my friend!

Brown plays his defense, just like letting PSU's S. Barkley keep getting matched up against McCray last year

To all Blue, I don't want to hear your excuse this season. Blue must win over Buckeyes. Also all the way to BOWL.
