How is it now in 2023? I'm also shooting AA IPSC here in Thailand. The popularity has also been going up and down as well. But THPSA (Thailand Practical Shooting Association) is now coming in and planning to raise awareness and also planning to organize higher level matches. Hopefully we'll be able to have a national team competing in AA World Shoot in 2025.

Hey, great video. Are there any places to try out Action Air in or around London? Would love to try it but struggling to find places.

Back in the day my wife and I were active U.K.P.S.A. shooters we would attend as many comps as possible. A year or two ago we came across action air. We go to a club when we can, The Mill in Huddersfield, underwent the safety training at Carlisle , practice at Fubar Bundy in Leeds (electronic range} missed the comp at Carlisle due to covid (paid for) hoping for more comps
joined the U.K.P.S.A. of course. Not a great deal going on as you say.
    1. More level 1 comps would help so people who would like to give it a go do not have to pay out £60.00 training.
    2. This term "Gateway" to other shooting sports should not be used, it is as if Yes take up action air but you are then expected to move on. As stated we were active full bore shooters POLICE PISTOL, SERVICE PISTOAL A and B and I.P.S.C. We do not want to use action air as a gateway to anything. Been there seen it done it.
    3. Each club should have a training officer responsible for teaching safe firearms handling both for in club and at comp level.
    4. The term "TOYS" I find derogatory, However the advantages are great we have a 2x8 meter range upstairs, and a 12x30 meter range outside, along with shot timers and chrono. This allows us to maintain a skill level that we have had to put aside for 25 years, the only real difference is the size of the bang, and the much better rigs we have now.
    5. I may have the name wrong but I believe an action air shooter tommy Lau went to a full bore shoot and did very well once used to the slightly bigger bang of a full bore side arm.
    6. It's all about technique.
    7. It does strike us that the skirmisher community are just that. Not our style but we met them at Fubar Bundy and we are classed as TARGET SHOOTERS!!!!!!!!! However great bunch of boys and girls.
    8. Good video.

Airsoft shouldn't be treated as a toy in the UK. It's an imitation firearm and should be treated as such as the consequence for mistreatment are big

Just want to clarify that there is nothing wrong with prioritising other sports and hobbies over shooting a discipline. We all have the right to do what we want. It's more about integrating Action Air with other more active disciplines that could help with engagement from those not already involved.
UPDATE: There's a regional match occurring near the end of the year in Carlisle.

Are there action air locations which use 4.5mm CO2 bb airguns? I would be interested in using those for action air. This is something I'd like to get into, but I just don't know exactly how.
