Thank you Kevin for doing this with Evolve and thank you Daniel for talking with me about this course at church. I’ve been painting with acrylics for over 40 years. This is opening up a whole new world for me. :}
Glad to hear that! The simple sphere helps us to see the process, and how the same process can be applied to something complex, like a portrait 🙂 ~ Daniel

I love that in the Evolve program we learn values by first simplifying them. Which is not as easy as it might look. At least not for the beginner. Thank you for making these live streams available for us who would otherwise have to be up and awake in the middle of the night 😊 Greetings from Germany! Birgit P.
so if I have a value scale of nine values what number should I pick to much the two shadows, extreme shadow moderate shadow, extremely light and moderate light???
Hi I’m 74 years old and I’m a new subscriber I am using artisan water mixable oil because I woke up in a enclosed small space Is there a good quality water mixable Thank you
Having an efficient system for making paintings can be critical for pro artists. While you’re finishing up one painting, you can start creating the composition and preparing for another one, pulling together reference material, stretching canvas or getting a panel ready, drawing or laying in a transfer sketch on the composition, etc. This can be more productive than completely finishing one before starting another, especially because prep work is often less mentally draining. Additionally, depending on how you’re painting you might be waiting for one painting to dry so you can work on another one to move that forward. Hopefully that helps! Let me know if need to clarify anything 🙂 ~ Daniel
I’m actually considering making a video on this very topic. For now, here’s a helpful article: evolveartist.com/blog/know-when-a-painting-is-finished/ 🙂 ~ Daniel

Kevin you are a good person and a real teacher, grazie Maestro!
Great tutorial. Thanks
Thanks Kevin for making this so much less intimidating!!!!!!
It's great how you associate painting the ball with a portrait. I'm not sure why, but that helped me understand on a different level.

Values 2, 4, 6, 8 should work just fine 😊 ~ Daniel
My mum told me long time ago… if you want to be a successful and pricy artist… don‘t go to art school, rather do classes in marketing and network. 😂😎
What are the type brushes Kevin is using?

How do finish a painting without starting a other one and you need to finish the one you started?
