    Get on John Baker baits! Honestly guys, find the time time to roll your own. It really does give you an edge with JB baits! I can personally recommend Bio fish with AS and Plum!

    Brilliant as usual John. I sold my bait making equipment quite a few years ago and since watching your videos wish I hadn't as I would definitely use your ingredients. I did tell a couple of guys to try your milk 'barbel' baits a couple of years ago as they were looking for something a little different, not sure if they followed it up though. Tight lines

    Hi John, huge huge fan of your ideological way of thinking towards boilie making & fishing, totally agree on not using popup mixes with their synthetic materials. But I would love you to do a section on cork dust popups & wafter making. Ive been tampering with bait making since my match days in the early to late 80s. Now recently moved to carp fishing with a Moggy to 71lb and my carp PB of 56lb 14oz. So your channel and your way of thinking is my type of video to watch and sub too. Please do some sections on cork dust popups and wafter making with good winter flavors in your range.

    Hi John I'm going to be placing an order soon and give bait making a go. I was just wondering if you could add pure calanus liquid to the bio shellfish is it possible to use white dye to be able to make white pop up hookbaits?

    • @Sean-ig6wf
      @Sean-ig6wf Год назад

      @Teddy David I've been adding 10ml of calanus liquid and 0.2ml of plum to a bio shellfish one egg hookbait mix and had great results. Calanus liquid is a natural amino and not an extract. Deffo a good combo

    Very inspiring and you can see you really know your stuff, unfortunately in today's climate 60 quid to roll a 1 egg mix is crazy pricing! Understand these flavours are unique and it probably costs alot of money but you need to re stock on the smaller pick n mix flavours so at least us anglers that are not swimming in disposable income can have ago at these amazing baits, I want to try but cannot justify £60 when I can get 5kg of Geoff bowers bait for that, sorry

      What do those flavours smell of? Is it the individual flavours that give the smell or is that all down to the base mix?

  • @jeremybrill4635
    @jeremybrill4635 2 года назад

    Flavours catch anglers not fish, a quality base mix can be ruined by a poor flavour, the original ala-salar from Middlesex angling centre in the 80s was a winner

      I disagree. Imitation is stealing. JB has spent a lifetime building a bank of knowledge that he wants to monetise without someone just copying him. I don’t blame him at all.

      @@durrantalan imitation is flattery, its called the open source development of our technology, bait making isnt conventionaly technology but competition drives economies
      john can only produce his baits to a consumer level
      our species thrived throught thegolden age where nobody tradem,arked the 12 bar blues and we all benefitted from it
      now we are at the point where no phone manufacturer can make a rectangle phone with straight sides and rounded corners because they get sued by apple
      he blended abitrary spices together to get a flavour profile and charges silly pices for it, other bait makers have just done thier version, if john is better markets dictate his will sell, if he's overcharging for an arbitrary mix of spices then the market will indicate this
      i used "secret agent" flavour made by rod hutchinson, but i refuse ot buy it off rod, i but if from cheaper bait making whlelasers that make an identical priduct with less paywall.
      i personally think copyright and intellectual property is of the devil and only holds back our society
