Inside The Fuhrerbunker - The Photographs 1945 - 1988

- Very few photographs exist of the interior of Hitler's infamous Fuhrerbunker in Berlin. This short film traces the surviving images from 1945, when the Bunker was captured by the Soviets, to its partial demolition by the East Germans in 1988. Eerie and fascinating!

The photos from 88 were taken by a photographer who disguised himself as a construction worker to get in to the bunker as security was pretty tight in that area.
Some one must have Hitler’s pistol somewhere.
It must have been so quiet and creepy when that photographer went in there in 1988. Wonder if he heard any interesting sounds.
The music is making this creepy as hell
Somebody somewhere has a stash of photos from that time. I'm sure they are either too scared to show them, or don't remember they have them, or even passed away and are sitting in some storage unit somewhere.
Can you imagine being one of those allied soldiers walking around that bunker knowing that Hitler and his closest command were all living and breathing in there days before? It must of been so surreal!
Why not save the bunker as museum ? It´s history !
They feared that the site would become a place of pilgrimage for neo-Nazis.
I think they wanted to forget their sins.
It's incredible how you can feel History on this photos. I mean, you can travel to that final months, weeks, days and even minutes or seconds before the end of WWII in Europe. You can feel the dead, the feeling that everything is lost.
It is a shame that so much testimony of the Nazi regime has been destroyed over the years. Given, the Nazi regime was not something to be proud of, but we learn by studying our history and by destroying those parts we do not like our history becomes incomplete and riddled with guesswork and ill conceived mystique.
I bet the Soviets got Hitler's Iron Cross, that medal would be priceless.
They did get his NSDAP badge which was stolen from a museum a few years ago.
They also have a few uniforms in possession, even the cap he is wearing in the Reichchancellery garden, when he handed out decorations for the Hitler Youth.
Creepily fascinating.
Creepy how the 80's photos reminds me a bit of Pripyat
I watched your video "The Mystery of Hitler's Missing Pistol." Now I want to know what happened to the couch.
By the time I visited Germany in the mid nineties, much of the era construction had been destroyed. But there are a few areas that were bombed out which remained in a state of ruin as memorials.
it has since been proven there was a tunnel leading to tempelhof airport, part of that tunnel is still being used by the underground rail system, the rest is blocked
I saw only the outside entrance to the bunker in 77, this was during the Cold War at the time as East Berlin was under Russian control, we were not allowed off the Tours bus.
So much history, carelessly stolen, forgotten about, left to rot, then destoryed, and buried.
Imagine the contents in the safe
The picture at 1:34 is the office desk of Hitler the empty frame was the one used for the picture of Frederik the Great Hitler had in his office.
Wow, I missed that
His personal Pilot Baur took the portrait before the escape of the surivivors group .
Nice detail. Do you have any source I will like to read that.
How can u call this piece of shit Great..
@@___Sevak___ you seem to have misunderstood who was referred to as 'the Great' by the OP, as it most certainly wasn't Hitler. The OP was referring to King Frederick II von Hohenzollern of Prussia, often referred to as 'Frederick the Great', a military genius and patron of the arts whose portrait Hitler kept framed above one of his desks. This was likely due to Hitler idolising the man for his military accomplishments - particularly an against-the-odds victory in the Seven Years' War. Now, if you despise The Old Fritz, that's another story entirely.
Thanks for creeping me out with the song.
I guess there was not a lot left there, once the Yanks and Russians had looted and wrecked the place for souvenirs?
They had problems trying to destroy all of the bunker alot still remains just filled in with landfill. They tried a couple times to destroy it but never could completely.
Well done video- appreciate you bringing known and some unseen photos together and in this case letting the pictures speak for themselves.
If only it was kept... More questions than answers.
Germany and Austria have done a shameful job of wiping sites like this off the map, these places need to be left for future generations to learn and understand. It is absolutely appalling how they have acted.
This isn't the usual Mark Felton video I'm used to. No commentary. Just eerie music showing creepy images of the bunker where one of humanity's worst tyrants spent his last moments. This has to be one of my favorite videos of your channel
They would have made so much money from tourism if they had kept it as it was.
His bed looks cheaper than my bed. So simple , ordinary and frugal. And he ruled over most of Europe albeit even for a few years!!! Even though it is a bunker but expected his bed to be luxurious as he was the mightiest & richest in Europe.
parts of that sofa can be seen at the WW2 museum in Natick, Ma.
What a creepy sound when it shows the bunker
Hitler's bed.. I wonder what that would fetch at auction.
What's that sound effects? It's like I'm watching a horror movie. So haunting sound.. Awoohhhh,!
The place has an eerie feeling to it
1:48 i thought that was a fridge lmao
1:34 Friedrich der Große is missing!
Herr Paschulke thieves stole the paintings soviet bastards
Is the bunker still underground? I know the area was redeveloped but I believe I either read or saw somewhere that the actual bunker itself could not be destroyed as it was so well constructed....is there any truth to this, is it still down there today?
Some of those allied soldiers look like children
Thank you for the eerie silence.
Great vid as always
Mark, I love the video AND the creepy background sounds. Keep up the good work !
A couple of these photos I ha e not yet seen. Thanks for the presentation!
Poor blondi
No refrigerators? No ice machines? I can get a better deal at Motel 6. And I will live to tell the story.
I believe the nice looking piece of furniture in Braun’s room was made by Albert Speer.
Yes, all the luxury furniturse in the Bunker came from the Reichskanzlei
No Albert Speer was not a funiture architect.
The sofa appeared to have 0 blood stains and none on the wall either. Who cleaned it all up after Hitler blew his brains out?
The germans were way ahead than any country at the time
Not entirely accurate, they had some technologically advanced toys ahead of the competition for sure, but could never produce them in the numbers required to win a war. The Allies possessed several technologies that were ahead of the Germans, colossus, active radar, the bouncing bomb, just a few of many examples.
Thanks for contributing something positive for us all, where would we be without your marvellous cinematic efforts?
Fegelein! Fegelein! Fegelein!
HAHAHAHAH Listen to "Hitler and friends sing Moskau"!
Love your channel, Mr. Felton.
Thanks so much
I wonder what happened to all the couches and furniture?
Where Hitler...Goebbels...top generals lived....allied soldier looks over the site...one week later....creepy and profound!
Was there any record of what was in the safes in Hitlers quarters?
Why did Hitler stop playing Golf?
He kept getting stuck in the Bunker
Spooky, like a horror movie, only worse because it really happened. The intense negative energy is palpable and very disturbing.
I betcha that bunker is haunted beyond belief.
This bunker could have been a beautiful museum.
Such a waste and shame that they destroyed it for 95%. Could have been a museum or monument to remind people of the history of that place.
Monuments like these may as well be retained to tell the future generations what is wrong, and what should never be attempted. It would not glorify Hitler in my opinion, but would have stayed as a reminder to war mongers about ultimate destiny of a madman who went too far to play with world peace..
Amazing pictures
Imagine looking. Around that bunker! Amazing!!!
they better make a COD Zombies map out of this
That was so eerie.
Very fascinating video. My only criticism would be the ominous music playing with the photographs.
A far cry from the Obersalzburg. If ever there was an area that should have been preserved and need a museum, that was it. It's tragic that the German government denied that. Dynamiting this was like destroying history.
Not all has been blown up.
Is fuhrerbunker still standing until now??
Is this the same Robert Conrad (2:46) that flew a F4U4 Corsair later against Japan?
Life was not pleasant in the bunker-sure, it was safe (could withstand a direct bomb hit), but it was damp and smelly..probably like living in a jail cell. I'm amazed that anybody stayed there-I'd have left under any pretext. Of course, the SS guards stayed loyal-or did they?
To the death
1988 photos are hella creepy
Très bien et sérieux cette vidéo ! C'est quoi le titre de la musique ? Merci à toi..😉
Your close to 100k
Hello very nice video Danke
Fascinante video muy interesante
Does any one know the title of the music, I love ambient music.
Is there much explanations history for why the USA and Britain allowed the soviets to take Berlin before they did. This would be an interesting story to investigate.
Wonder what was in all the safes
So sad it is historical
It should be museum
I would put this sofa to the museum.
Awesome
Why do u use the imovie scary effects
It wasn't destroyed it was buried..don't people know anything??? Great video...well done
At 1:23 there appears to be what looks like a child’s drawing on a desk.
..history as it is written by Stalin and Churchil ..
Really? And what is that supposed to mean?
pictures that will never be taken again awesome film on rare photos,,,I wonder if any of the furniture was saved and preserved as a reminder of the holicoast such as the sofa where hitler killed himself anything saved and placed in a musuem,,,I know they had found hitlers car,,,and thats in a muesum but any furniture saved from the bunker?
Looks cozy. Would love to visit the bunker if it still existed!
So is the whole building now abandoned? Or what is being used for?
That would be a time capsule... Alas 😑
If I were in there I would look for the escape route he had out of that bunker from his bedroom. He always had escape routes.
Even creepier than the last video. So creepy.
So they forgot about it after ward. Wheres all the other stuff. And is completely gone now
unlike world war one, ol' fuhrer had to go to the bitter end, sort of like saying, 'this time, no more mr. nice guy!'
So they clean up after the photo was taken I see no splatter of brain or blood no where on the couch or wall.just saying?.
Music....... Is scary
I was there in berlin @2018 the bunker is near the postdammer platz
Of course they cut out the possible butchered burnt or raped corpses of the people that were in there in their final moments
Is possible to enter in there?
Can you imagine the high value if the soldiers kept hitters sofa or just his telephone on the desk, I bet there are a few billionaires who would buy them for bragging rights
I wouldn’t sleep in there now
Good luck to those who watched this before bedtime... Including me 😨😨😰😰😱
What's with the horror music? Is the bunker supposed to be haunted or something?
I wonder if Hitlers dog was bunker broken??
