Great video Hank! I'm sure it will help lots of people. One thing I'll leave here for Branson owners is to use OEM filters, specially the Hydraulic ones. The reason is that Branson uses hydraulic filters on the suction side of the pump and while aftermarket filters may have a check valve inside that prevents the pump from getting oil. There are several cases of burned hydraulic pumps due to not using the proper filters. While it looks the same on the outside, the filter can be different on the inside. Just one thing to keep in mind.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm Just as an aside, if Branson has a filter for which they are the only supplier, the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act requires them to supply the filter to non-commercial customers for free. Yeah, try and tell them that.
I like what you did how you over check and make sure and everything I you just double check around like I did that good job brother have a good day and God bless
Thanks for the videos! Here's a little trick I have learned changing the oil on all my vehicles over the years. You can use a gallon-sized ziplock bag around the filter when removing it to help keep the oil from spilling all over the place. I just break the filter loose with my pliers and then place the bag around the filter and try to get the zipper portion as far up around the mount as possible. Then I turn the filter about 1/4 turn at a time while trying not to spin the bag itself. Then you can adjust the bag back that 1/4 turn and go again (If I spin the bag with the filter it always gets out of place around the mount and ends up spilling out). Once you get the filter off just zip it closed to keep yourself as clean as possible. I normally just buy the cheap store-brand bags and keep a box with all my tools. They come in handy for many different tasks!
Don't own a Branson, but do own a Kawasaki! The big positive I get from doing my own maintenance is saving money, avoiding the drop off-pick up hastle, and I know it's done right. Much the same I'm sure with you and the Branson. Plus you save money. My personal experience is that when dealers do maintenance jobs on any machine, they sometimes rush the job as they are not big money makers...get them in, get them out fast to keep money rolling in. Sometimes things get overlooked, fluids not fully filled, drain bolts not properly torqued. As I said, do it yourself, know it's done properly. Love the channel btw.
Life is colorful and too good Your content is also one of the colors that make up that beautiful block of color. Thank you for the great content today. together developed.
A Tip.... The oil filler opening is to be opened before draining the old oil so that air can enter the tiles above and the oil flows out more easily and quickly so that debris deposits are rinsed out, otherwise the oil will only gurgle
great vid, im all about saving some $ when i can, so this is super helpful! thanks for showing all grease points also. everything was clear, good camera work, lighting, pleasure to watch. John 14:6
I just got 50 hours on my Branson and was worried that will not be able to find service videos, since there are mostly Kubota’s and JDs. Was happy to find your video. Very helpful, thank you very much.
It's funny how you started with a light grey shirt and finished up with a dark grey shirt. Them 400* days sure have a way of getting to you! And I can't believe how great the shop vac trick worked when I did the service on the RX7320. I had the filters off for a good while cleaning the screens on each filter base, and I lost maybe a total of 2 quarts of oil due to slow dribbles. Great video, though! Super informative, and full of nice tips!
Afternoon hank ! Very good video! Yep can’t go wrong with delo 400 It’s good stuff Yep we write the date and hours on all the filters we change out here Hope everyone has a good weekend
I noticed that my engine was much quieter after doing my 1st oil change. I noticed the factory oil was quite thin relative to any diesel oil I've changed in my trucks, so I believe the factory oil was a much lighter grade. I would suggest to anyone with a new tractor to change your engine oil at 15 to 25 hours and put a high quality oil in it; cheap insurance. The engine noises (rattles/knocks) were significantly lower with new 15w40 diesel oil and the engine idles smoother.
Great idea on marking the bolts with a marker. I'll have to do that. I'm glad you didn't have as much problem changing your hydraulic filter as I did on my Kioti 7320. It took me 3 hours to change out the 2 filters, as I had to drill holes through each filter casing and drive a screwdriver and then twist!
Usually a 50 hour service is something i would work into when shopping and buying a new tractor of any size ... Otherwise for most people the 50 hour service is a good way to just get to know your tractor and how things work and a chance to get things figured out for later on down the road . And i would suggest most tractor guys do a bit of filter number crossing since thats where you can really save money since most tractor oem brands are made by one of the major filter makers to being with.. On filters i have compared the OEM brands to Fleetguard and Baldwin and its close to a 110% difference cheaper to buy the Fleetguards or Baldwins
Only when your shooting a RUclips video do you have something go crazy like the hydraulic filter, any other time it would be a breeze! great info Hank, thanks! Going to my dealer after the first of the year for a new 2515h!
Good job buddy. It's good to show when problems arise and not edit them out...being authentic. Let's everyone know to always check your seals before proceeding. Just hope you remember next time. 😆 🤣
Man, you really gotta be fast on those hydraulic filters. The one on my Kubota is a little better location but I still lost a gallon. I won’t next time, but this time it got me. Lol. Mine was $20 per gal. Good video Hank. Thanks
I didn't see you pull the radiator screen. Are you able to pull it with the intake attached? I saw one guy had to separate it from the turbo inlet to get the screen out. Was hoping you had a trick for that. Hoping to have my new 2055CH in a week or so. Trying to soaking up all your tips and tricks!

Thanks for the tutorial. Love your videos Hank. When I did my front axle (3620R, 50 hr service, after studying your video carefully 😎) I found loosening the vent cap on opposite side of axle from fill cap helped with filling. I lost about 1/3 quart of 80W-90 from burping until I loosened the vent cap. My 50 hour service came up fast - I'm using the heck out of the Branson and love it. One question on filling hydraulic fluid - is there a vent somewhere to help with filling, similar to front axle? Thanks!
Not sure about all dealerships but the one I worked at charged the customer if they picked up your tractor. So doing your own service can save you a lot of money.
Hello from Sardis City, Alabama. I let them do my first service on my Yanmar tractor. But like you said i saved $200.00 to $300.00 doing it myself. On my tractor the hydraulic uses 2 different types of filters. What a mess!! Lol thats not including the fuel filter.

It will pull a vacuum and the oil will not leak out while changing the filter. I have seen at least 4 different video's of people using this technique and all were successful.
Enjoyed the video Hank. You made it look easy. Great idea on marking the bolts which I now plan to do. I notice you cap was dripping sweat when you were replacing the oil filter. It is hard to find a cool day in the summer. The humidity here in NC is awful this time of year which I am certain you can remember. Will see you Sunday night.
Like that someone appreciates their equipment and services it theirselves. Great job, also could you show how to tighten the belt tensioners if it was needed?
the problem were having with our branson 4225ch is that the hour glass for the hydraulic oil on the back was reading as empty. so when we want to go put some more hydraulic oil in there it started overflowing out the hole and its still is reading as empty. so i was wondering if you or anyone else have any ideas on what that could be? because we were thinking it could be air trapped in the oil tank.
Ok Hank, I just got a little worried. I never have even changed the oil in my car before. I am at 22 hours on my Branson and seeing you have troubles with the most expensive fluid for the tractor just gave me a panic attack! hahaha At least I know what to prepare for!
Good Job there ! BTW doesn't that tractor have a suction filter or pull out screen strainer for the HST ? Don't think I've ever seen one with just one filter especially in a tractor that big. Love the maintenance and will it start videos ! Have A Blessed Day !

Great job servicing the Branson Hank, just curious here why you went to that model and sold the Mahindra? I am guessing because the Branson is a cab model with A/C and a shuttle shift unlike the open station gear driven Mahindra? Take care, David.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm So I watched that one Hank and you explained that you made a deal with Branson to demo their tractor, now the Mahindra is gone? Did you decide you liked the Branson better and keeping after all, if you explained that part I must have missed it. Have a great day !
Had a question about the oil filter? The one on my tractor is bigger than the filter that was given to me to use from the dealership. I was told that it is the correct filter to fit. It's just smaller, should I try to find a bigger size for my tractor for more filtration?
Great lil learning vid bud .if I were to get a Branson I'd know everything without haveing to read anything about it lol godbless brother your doing good
Does anyone have experience removing the radiator screen? It doesn't lift out easily like our JD did. I use a vacuum to suck off the debris on the radiator screen..works great
I know this is a year old now, but it looks like you forgot your front axle gear oil change. Or maybe just forgot to add it to the video hopefully! Either way great video thanks for everything you're doing!
You gonna have to change the fluid in that hat now, it was leaking the whole video lol. The filters seem like a bad design, both laying flat but I guess that’s a compact tractor thing. Great video
So I assume you are just as happy with the Branson as I have been with Kubota, International Harvester and John Deere? I am down to a couple John Deere garden tractors and if I don’t downsize to a subdivision with a half an acre lot I will probably be buying in one year so I am doing my comparison shopping online right now. I am about to go back to the Branson website to see if they have the options with price yet. Thanks for letting us see the ease of maintenance on your tractor. Too bad they can't make all the filters vertical. Preferably bottom up😊 ....if you don't have a strap wrench to loosen the old filter, a screwdriver works, just stab the old filter and twist it off. I don't really recommend that but I've seen it done. 😄 Thanks Hank....very good tips!

Thanks for this! As a recent new owner of a Branson 4520r with the bl200 loader I really appreciate your videos as finding information about these tractors is difficult. I recently bought a Titan pallet fork attachment and thought it was a universal fit but it was not. I can't engage both pins as they are not wide enough apart. What is the width of the pins on your loader as mine are 30" from middle of the pin to middle of the pin?
HOW THE HELL DID U GET THE LOCK AND LUBE ON THE DEWALT? i have the same gun and lock n lube but i can’t get the damn existing end off the dewalt, i tried HARD is it red Loctited on there or something?

@@HamiltonvilleFarm Preciate ya. I was debating between a Kioti and a mahindra, and then you threw the Branson in the mix lol.. I grew up on Massey Ferguson , Ford , John Deere, and Duetz
Funny you should post that. I actually did a video on greasing my other tractor and put florescent zirk fittings covers on them. I got away from them after I kept losing them in the brush and stuff. About 6 out of 10 would constantly fall off. But they do help locate the hard to find ones! Thanks for the comment!
Can't believe you have to do that every 50 hours. If you applied that to the average bus you would have to take it off the road for a service every 5/6 days whereas they usually go around 6 weeks between inspections.

I sold the Mahindra. The Branson was a demo. It went back once TYM bought out Branson

I just checked mine. They are 30" as well. My titan attachment forks fit fine
@@HamiltonvilleFarm Thanks for the reply, looks like I'll have to do a little customizing.
@@wldcats4 My 3015 H was a quarter inch off as well so I had to use the plasma cutter.
Hank I thought I saw your cap leaking. It was dripping around the hook. Sweat band failure.😁
It was very hot that day😳👍😂

Great video Hank. Do you have a list or link of what parts to order?
No. I just used the service manual.
Love the videos, I have a Branson and really like it. Kukje is pronounced "cookya" if you really want to know.. :)
Thanks for watching 👍

Great job Hank with the phonetic alphabet - military man. I was super impressed until you broke out the Chevron oil brand. I work for ExxonMobil. Use Mobil 1. All good; love your videos.

@@HamiltonvilleFarm I thought u was going live
So, Branson vs Mahindra? Better, worse, equal?
Branson all day long. Not only do I like the tractor better because of its power and features, the company as a whole has just impressed me. They really take care of their customers from the top to the bottom. Im a fan👍
@@HamiltonvilleFarm
Preciate ya.
I was debating between a Kioti and a mahindra, and then you threw the Branson in the mix lol..
I grew up on Massey Ferguson , Ford , John Deere, and Duetz
Tough choices. Lol. But I'm super happy with Branson. Been a workhorse for me.
Always think I am missing a grease fitting.
Ive seen people put zip ties neat the fitting to help locate them too. 👍
@@HamiltonvilleFarm I got these and Like Em, You might too tinyurl.com/y2bmmpr3
Funny you should post that. I actually did a video on greasing my other tractor and put florescent zirk fittings covers on them. I got away from them after I kept losing them in the brush and stuff. About 6 out of 10 would constantly fall off. But they do help locate the hard to find ones! Thanks for the comment!
*BRILLIANT. From **#WorldHAX*
Your hat is dripping have you been going under the sprinkler.it must be hot where you are. Thanks
It was definitely hot that day! Thanks for watching.
Can't believe you have to do that every 50 hours. If you applied that to the average bus you would have to take it off the road for a service every 5/6 days whereas they usually go around 6 weeks between inspections.
You don't have to do it every 50 hours. Just the initial 50 hours. Thanks for watching 👍
@@HamiltonvilleFarm Ah right. That makes sense.
No fair
You did not have a wasp
Lol. Not on this machine👍 I actually check it for rodents and wasps frequently, because it stays in my pole barn

Enjoy your videos a lot, but that's a very bad design on the hydraulic filter, some engineer needs his/her butt kicked over that design.
