I started paying 6.5k per month, then in-between prepayment of 2k, 3k whenever possible. I have reduced the tenure by 2 years. More you keep your principal higher, you tend to pay higher interest as mentioned in this video.
If you build/buy a house in a livable location inside city. the price increase of the property will only match inflation or just 1 or 2% above inflation. so it is better to prepay than think about inflation and Live debt free. Moreover this will force you level up your income and get more disposable income to invest in other assets as well

A doubt please.. Say we are asked to pay emi of amount 20,000 per month for some loan amount.. And when we ask the bank to debit 22,000 as emi amount(ECS) then will extra 2000 be added as prepayment for each month.. Will that help in reducing the tenure

Not a problem,if you able to change tenure as a 15 yrs means monthly emi amount will increase ,30 years means emi amount amount around 20 k. So wt you do means Monthly emi + extra money u will pay it will reduce your principal amount and interest rate also decrease.And 6 months once or 1 yrs once you will pay huge extra amount like 1 lakhs or 2 lakhs .This is the best way to complete the loan as soon as possible.
I asked relax period of 6 months. I tried to pay extra amount other than EMI,it reduced from the principal amount,so it's better to take relax period as 1 year,It will reduce from principal??or which one is best
