I’m here due to a tint job I’ve had done twice now and there are still bubbles and trash in the tint. Looks like I’m fixing it myself. 👍🏽
Excellent vid,I thought any imperfections would lead to redoing the tint.I'm doing a rear window and 2 side windows on my car for the first time so this was a great help!!!!👍
Great video. I wish I'd have discovered this channel before pulling the tint I put on my car, especially this content. I could have probably recovered but didn't know it was possible to fix these types of mistakes. Thanks!

You do a great job with this information always helpful.
Thanks for the advice and info recently, the air bubbles on my French doors have dried and gone. The mirror film is working great.. I can feel the reduced heat already with the sun coming out for the last few days. Cheers.
Great! You're a natural if that was first attempt!
Ur the only one out of all these vids who showed the cease and how to remove it
Thank you to sharing this knowledge it's very helpful ☺️
Thanks very helpful, I will try to remove the bubbles in my window
Wow!!! Amazing demonstration and lessons. I am encouraged now that my tinter can redo some of these errors that I caught after the curing period. I was so worried that he'd have to peel off everything, but this is genuinely reassuring! I will go to him with a good attitude and ask him nicely to try and repair like you've shown is possible. Thanks!!
No problem!!
how did that go for you?
Any update?
This is brilliant , thanks mate 👍
This video very helpful 👍. Thank you tint school online
Thank you, just had my windows tinted and found some spots like you just showed. Didn’t really want to go back to the same place because of the horrible experience I had. I’m going to try your method and see were it goes. Other wise I’m bringing it back. You gave me hope thou, I think I can do this myself. Thank you.
how did it go for you?
Thanks a bunch, saved my day!
thank you so much sir for sharing this to us .this can help me in my small business in installing tints. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
No problem! Good luck
straight to the point, no bull... great tutorials
Thanks Cam! Appreciated
Thank you for the video. Will you need to apply soupy water when pushing out the air or water not to damage the tint?
Thanks a lot for the great videos!
This was hella helpful. Exactly what I needed answered to DIM
Good to hear !
Excellent! Very helpful
Nice video dude Thank you for share all of this!
Thank you!
Got 100+ more of them inside of our course!
One of the best videos I seen yet
Like magic!!! Thanks man!!!
Thanks so much for this video !
No problem! I hope it helps!
Excellent video. Just a quick question, how long is it before it's too late to correct these defects (bubbles, fingers, etc)? I tinted 2 windows and it got dark so I had to wait until tomorrow morning to see the imperfections for me to correct.
After 5/7 days
This is so helpful wow
Thank you for share!
This is a great video! very informative, thank you. Do you recommend using this same method with window tint that has been installed for more than 2 weeks?
...
it depends, if its an air bubble you can pop it But things dont really move when its dry
@@mikeriverajr4447 lol kl
@@mikeriverajr4447 definitely do not pop it that does nothing even putting the bubble down after popping creates a haze you won’t get rid of
Did you find a good solution?
When trying to fix the tint, should u get the tint wet so that the tools slide better?
What Chizler tool are you using and brand? Great video
Is the side of the film with the protective film the side that installs on the glass?
Thanks for sharing all video bro 👍👍
Very very useful video! Thank you very much!
I would only like to ask, whats the time window for these mistakes to be fixable?
Depends on the weather, if its hot it will dry quite quick and the film will be sealed.
But the fingers can remove after this period
@@TintSchoolOnline with a sunny 25°C you would recon it would be fixable in 24 hours??
Thank you teacher ❤
Great video! 👍🏻
Happy dayz always watch your vids as not long started window tinting mite had to pop over and do a school with you that way get more off a understand on it happy dayz ay
Yeah my rear defrost tint has a rectangular shape now. It's only been a few days though. It does stick out though.
Good info mate 👌👍👍
Appreciate the comment 🙏 any questions we are here !
Thank you teacher.
If you scrape away your tint defrost a line can it be replaced or is it not necessary
What is the brand of your tint tools youre using here? Thanks
Please can you share how you overcome the problems of the "dot matrix"..
Hello,it has been almost 3 weeks from where i got my tint and a finger still appearing in my driver window side...kept on chisling it and still stubborn applying a hair dryer that really heats up the window....
What temperature is the heat gun set at?
Vc e o melhor irmão
How about water bubble? Will it go away over time? I got a few big water bubble on my windshield tint...
And my hands were so itchy to poke the bubble with a needle and shrink it with heat gun and chisel... Will it work that way?
I was wondering can you use automotive tint on a motorhome thanks for the video
Yep
Is there a fix with no heat gun? I read to just poke a tiny hole in each bubble and use a credit card?
Can you do this to eight month old tint bubbles.?great video...
Thank you!
In reply to 8 month old tint.. I am afraid not...the only option you have is to pop them..
If you want a more accurate answer please send a picture to our facebook page, we will try and assist you!
Thank you and be sure to subscribe 🙂 new videos coming soon
Great videos.
Should I assume all the work was do right after installation, not the next day when some of these become more obvious.
Hello, not sure I understand.
It's harder to see mistakes when the film is wet but if you look really hard you can still see them.
Once the film dries everything will look really visible so you need to make sure you check the work really well
I have a rear windshield issue with my 09 Cadillac CTS because the tint is bubbling and looks wrinkling? Would I be able to seal it back down with this method?
I have got a used car with lots of large bubbles. I was thinking about using a pin, do you think that would work ♥
Thank you 🤙🏻
What if after you have done the tint and you squeegy out the water. Then after you check hours later you see a dime sized water bubble...
Should you leave it as is so ithe water will eventually evaporate or do you try and push it out knowing that the rest of the film is already tacked down and the water will more than likely NOT push out anywhere else since the window is already squeegied and curing?
Poke a small hole in the bubble and squeeze the water out or let it be and when it evaporates then lightly push it down if it hasn't stuck to the window?
Great channel and great content! Currently in a learning process on my own car and am thinking about starting up a business if it goes to plan. Will definitely use your website if it does!
Quick question: How much time do you have for fixing these mistakes? In my particular case, I applied my tint 24 hours ago and first noticed the bubbles and specs now. The temp has been around 3-5 C.
Thanks!
Hello Kevin, it really depends on the temperature, the amount of soap used and even how it is parked (if it is facing the sun). The bigger the mistake the quicker you will need to be. You can only really tell once you start trying to chizzle the specs(if the air is moving or not).
So give it a go and if the air around the spec isn't moving or it is coming back after a minute it will need to be replaced. If it is a bubble, you can pop it with your knife and press the air out that way.
Hope this helps and good luck!
.is it safe to do it at the back of the car where is the heater lines?
Thank you so much
very knowledgeable video. i always getting a hair, fiber and contamination bubble. how i can overcome this situation. if you can answer. Thank you
Install is 90% of the problem in most cases. Many people think cleaning. But it's usually install.
@@TintSchoolOnline what part being the most common trouble area of the install?
What I do is I push the finger to the end hold it heat the window while still holding it. The let go if it’s small I heat the inside a quick flash and push and it’s out! If you keep doing what he is doing you get more dirt. Then you gotta work the dirt out when it can be on clean step
Just seen your video as I have just had a go at tinting my windows and have quite a few "Fingers" as you call them. I did it a couple of days ago. Can i go back to it and try and get rid of the fingers now ??
Excellent
Can I use a hair dryer if I don't have a heat gun?
Thank you for the information. My tint is 10 years old and just started getting bubbles in the rear window. I wanted to try and improve it before replacement but, I am guessing this will simply not work for old tint. Could I make a pinhole in the bubble to get the air out? Will that make it look a bit better or possibly make it worse? Great video btw!
Hello, sorry but it sounds like you have adhesive failure. It would need to be replaced.
Worse
Is there any way to avoid window contour to appear??
I have some contamination bubbles on the side windows and one crease on my back window very close in size to the one you worked on in the video. Do you think these can be repaired following your methods in the video if it was installed 2 weeks prior?
Hello Michael it is unlikely as the air will be trapped around the contamination with no where to go... sorry
@@TintSchoolOnline Thanks. So these repairs can only be done immediately after installation?
I have some air bubbles and it was installed 3 days ago am I able to push them to the edge as you get in the video now
Sir I also want to learn from you more
I had little bubbles on the front when the tint guy did the job, he basically told me to wait a couple of more days... can I do this knowing that I don’t have much experience in window tinting since I want to do it myself.
Hello Elliot! Do you work with a flat or convex side of the chizler? Yours faithfully, Ivan
Usually the flattest part, unless there is a very stubborn spec
the tint already dried out for almost 2 weeks can i still use that technique for removing specks, will it still work?
Hi we recently had the car windows tinted and 2 weeks later there is still tiny white bubbles on the tint on all windows and the and the edge cutting its not cut evenly and marks around the window edges is so notable , should we get the tint off and go somewhere else not happy with so many marks.
if a lot of bubble in the middle, can we use this 3 second rule ?
These videos are so helpful. It would be nice if you maybe sold some sort of kit which would include everything that's needed (except the heat gun obviously).
Hello Sami we will look into it thanks
Have a look on ebay mate,I got a kit with squeegees, cloth and a knife for £6.50 and a small bottle of tint slime for £3.99.
Also bought a precut tint kit for my car 😊
@@garyb4196hey man did your tint kit fix the issue?
it is ok now but it can be reduced when you squeez but If it is dust or something in the tint (film) then after few hours it becomes white (white mark )...
Tank you so much
My tint was done 4 days ago! Is my tint fixable or does it have to be fixed immediately after installation?
Do you need a chizler to get the specs out or a hard card is fine too.
A chizler is definitely better as it is harder, the 3m cards are quite soft so not as good...
Can still be done but will take longer
Thanks
what to do if the water fingers keep going back?
the shop doesnt want to fix it for me
Will a blow dryer be ok to use instead of a heat gun? Cheers.
No, it doesnt get hot enough
Ok mate quick question. I don't have any of these when I apply a film except smudges, are they because of soapy water and they will dissappear after specific period of time or i should use just clear water instead? I didn't want to risk leaving the tint so I stripped it straight after
Sounds like it is the drying in process it should all go
What brand of heat gun you are using?
Can you put the heat gun on the Side where the film is , I can't get access to the other side anymore ,any tips?
Can you roll down your window after 5 days even if you find about 3-4 small specs?
Hey guys. I just got my tint done two days ago. I see small specs and 1 water bubble on the rear window. Should I wait at least a week or two to allow the tint to fully dry and settle or should I contact my tint guy?
How is it now, did it ever get better?
I got my tints done yesterday and all my windows has bubbles. I’m definitely taking it back to the tint guy
Does this work also when bubbles appear after years?
I had bubbles in my tint. I contacted the guy and he removed them like you did, but the tint was all scratched up so he had to remove and apply new tint
Happen to me and now that piece of shit isnt answering
@@BlastCODM 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@BlastCODM Same. Had to do my tint over 3 times already. Now, I have air bubbles and the tint on my passenger side peeled from the top. Sent him pictures and now he doesn’t want to answer.
@@BlastCODM 😂😂
Seems like it would be a good idea to wear a head covering or tie hair back to prevent hairs getting in there.
I wish I'd watched this before trying it myself.. Leave it to the professionals! :(
My car's windows were tinted before I got the car. I don't know how long it's been but the tent has started to get wavy as in not bubbles but Just blurry. Would it be the same way to fix it?
Should you wait until new tint is dried to take care of spots like this? Thanks.
No, as the air will be trapped within the tint and have nowhere to go. You need it to be wet around the area so the air has somewhere to go
So last night I got my windows tinted they all came out great but today I noticed the rear window has 2 small creases/bubble. Can I still do this or would it have to be redone there in the bottom corner

Thanks for the tutorials, extremely helpful and well presented! Fan of what you do. Think I know my new side job 👍🏼💪🏼
i dont have a heat gun, will a hair dryer work?
I found your video to be very helpful I've never used this particular material before but I watched another video and it implied that I was not as smart as a monkey and it just kind of made me angry I took two steps at your video use the same technique used what you taught me things went fine thank you very much for not insulting me for probably not knowing probably one a very basic thing but you learn as you go have a good day thank you
Great
I have a jetta VI and I have got very big bubbles on the back window!
I have a question is it OK if I install the film over the window (outside) ?
Because pulling the old tint can break the heaters (defrost)! Right! Any suggestions? Thanks
I really wouldn't recommend installing from outside, it will look really bad and won't last very long.
You should wait for a really hot day and leave the car in the sun, then try and remove the tint, this way the heatlines are more likely to be saved.
@@TintSchoolOnline thank you. Even if I break the defrost, I never use it.
can i do it with regular fan?
I just had 35% done on my Honda accord, and when I picked it up from the shop the tint had ALLOT of air bubbles on all windows, and I was told it would dissipate. Seeing that really RUINED my whole experience at that shop, and they should never have let the car leave that way... 😔
That’s normal, should go away within a day
What is the name of the little white squeege? Thanks for ur videos
Hello, it is called a "little chizzler"
I like the video brother
Much appreciated! Fyi we now have 150 videos just like this in our course 😇😁
If you have a small bubble in the corner of 2 month old tint, can a heat gun still fix it? Didn't see it until too late
If it’s a white air bubble. You can try and pop it with a knife and push the air out
@@TintSchoolOnline it's in a corner behind a pillar cannot prick it straight on with a pin. Is it heat treatable? It's quality 3m though and I'll take it to the installer next week for a look. But I already carded it and wooden skewer rubbed it. Thanks for your work and help anyway nice channel 🍻
